Hi everyone, so nice to see the progress you're all making. Welcome Fox and Flowers, lovely TaDa. It's inspiring. Been a lot going on here but made a start on Count with me sampler. Owl just needs 2 stitches for his eyes and some white for his feathers but I can add those as I stitch round the border and have the thread on my needle. The grid is definitely helping.

all done. I attempted the French knots. After about half an hour I gave up and will try and find some yellow seed beads for them. I am in the process of griding the aida for my next project now.

Wow! @Drawingaline that is BEAUTIFUL <3

Slow and steady wins the race @daisy - I haven't even managed that! I love that you backstitch as you go along, much easier that way.

It breaks up the monotony of big areas of x stitch or the monotony of large areas of backstitch.  Keeps me going as it turns from flat areas into 3d  :)

    Looking good dal

Lovely work DAL - stunning. Can’t believe you’ve finished so quickly or so it seems from my end! The lemon seed beads will look beautiful. Daisy the cats are coming along. I love your description of what the backstitch does-moves it from 2D to 3D. Spent last week recovering from 4 day Ofsted visit. Picked up my cross stitch again at the weekend whilst watching the coronation, nearly stitched ‘9’.

Hope you are all well. Number 9 and the bees 🐝 stitched. Yes folks, those are indeed bees! Grids are really helping I think. Now moving to number 8 to the left and continuing to stitch the green and white chequered border. I had two needle minders and three needles threaded up for each of the three bee colours white made it so much easier!
