I had read about gridded aida, but because I tend to do kits I didn't want to buy anymore.

The grids seem to he helping. Unfortunately its another kit with a rubbish key for the colours, so I have had to unpick a whole chunk I started doing. Unfortunately it was supposed to be green and I had used purple, so not like I could Fudge it 😆 will pop a picture up next week when I have done a bit more.

I started in the bottom two corners which seems more natural to me than the middle for one this big. And I discarded the hoop pretty quickly and am stitching in hand, which seemed to speed me up slightly.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the long absence. I didn't have much to update on as haven't really had the time or inclination to pick up my stitching. DH has been away again this week for 2 nights, so did some more of Haberdashery Shop - will post a pic from my phone shortly. It's very slow progress. I also started some triangle bunting courtesy of Lucy Attic - just did a quick sample to see if I could follow the pattern. Might make some for the spare room and pin it around the picture rail.

DD's last day at Mind is next Wednesday. She gets one week's money as redundancy but has been proactively looking for a job and has applied to her local Nisa store (10 minutes walk from student house) plus M&S bakery. She has an interview on Monday for M&S. Means she will need to stay down in Brighton to hold down that job and won't be able to spontaneously pop home when she feels like it. Rent is due until August on the student house.

Hope your DD manages to get something too @Drawingaline - it's tough out there.

    Some lovely updates and ta-dahs!

Wow to @Debrak on Santa's Supper - such a lot of work, you must be so chuffed to have that finished. I love the Lawyer of Etsy design too and can concur!! What's next?!

Some lovely updates on Savannah Sunset @Drawingaline and I wouldn't worry about mis-stitching - I do this on practically every design I stitch - not intentionally it just happens lol! I have never gridded or bought gridded fabric. Maybe this is where I'm going wrong.....

Lovely ta-dah of the Robins @sammy_kaye18 and the frame is gorgeous. Thanks for providing the link too x

Good update on Seascape nmm x

Can't wait to see another update of mini-masterpiece @Charly27 - a bit like Rolf Harris "can you tell what it is yet?" although probably very inappropriate to refer to him these days.

I am seeing my Mum tomorrow and we are off to her local market town for lunch and a CS mooch. I've been Ebaying like mad raising funds for our JoGLE attempt. A combination of decluttering, selling things donated by others and CS/car boot flipping for a profit. It all helps.

    Hope you're all doing okay.
Update to follow from my phone!

    Looks good coxy.

The girl rang this afternoon to say she will be working in Madam Tussards! So pleased for her. She is home in a couple of weeks for a few days, so I am hoping she grabs a couple of shifts in her job here, and then she can make the decision in June as to whether she will stick with the one in London or not. Its until the end of August and then they might have her back at Xmas. But if she can make enough to rebuild her savings then she should be OK.

Loving all the photos.  What a clever lot.

Im getting back to my cat xstitch.   Been in the go for many years.  Done most of a ginger cat's body this afternoon.   It was hard to work out where I had left it as i think I've previously gone wrong by a line somewhere in his haunch.  However I don't think it matters as he is the one out on the left hand side of the roof so nothing to match up beyond him.  I will fudge it and I'm sure no one will ever be any the wiser.

    That is lovely Daisy.

I have hurt my thumb on my right hand. It's prone to aching, and it's flared up atm which makes stitching difficult. Typical!

Lovely progress Coxy and Daisy. So pleased for your DD DaL.
Very sadly FIL passed over on Friday after more than five weeks in hospital. Our hospital is not performing well and the care was not gold standard at times.
Poor DD has now lost both parents in a year. There is so much to sort it’s overwhelming at times.
I quickly finished mother and child for my mum and think it looks okay. Didn’t enjoy the BS though, it’s like using an Etch a Sketch for those old enough to remember those, hard to get the curves!

Oh @Charly27 so sorry to hear about FIL - sending you much love and strength xx

Lovely card for your DMum and agree that the BABS is tricky where curves are involved. I didn't realise that the Haberdashery Shop had quite so much until I started stitching. I've only done the facial features currently but each shelf, ball of wool, ribbon etc is edged in BABS! Lord knows how long this will take me!

I love the cats design @daisy_1571 - so colourful. Is it for you or will it be a gift?

Hope everyone else is doing okay
