12/1 and NSD number 7!
It's not that impressive as I've been at work all day and only just home, so really have had zero opportunity to spend anything! I'm going to have a quick dinner, then while watching TV I'm going to go through a kitchen drawer of "random stuff" and see if any of it can be thrown out/put somewhere more sensible etc.

Hugs, toni'sfriend, and painkillers too. Good to hear it didn't last as long as expected. Take care x

Today I am grateful for a coffee and catch up with a good friend, for getting all dc's presents wrapped ready for tomorrow, for finding 3 lovely small tea cups for £1.50 that I can use for some needle felting experiments, for being given a beautiful multi coloured bowl that we all love, for tomorrow being Friday!

I would love to have more days like today: slow, calm, and relaxed but productive. We all woke early this morning so were already ahead of the game. I dropped DS at school and walked a longer route back to the car which took around 15 minutes rather than the usual 5.Swallowed a frog early on in starting work and then took a break to do YWA’s head, neck, shoulder routine… a great way to spend 10 minutes of my day as I always feel better for it.Had last night’s leftovers for lunch and then read some of my book… another great way to spend part of my day and also feel better for it.Swallowed quite a few frogs by the end of the working day today … pat on the back for me.Don’t know what’s been going on with me today but I hope ‘Miss Thursday 12 January 2023’ hangs around!Grateful for having a day of feeling ‘switched on’, for good stories, and for OH making dinner.

Well done @ldee2111, I like that routine too. My favourite, which I do nearly every day is the flexibility one.
Sending hugs @Toni'sfriend, pleased that the tests were over sooner than you'd thought & you had good results 🎉
Well done @thriftylass, it's always difficult to abstain when someone close to you isn't as motivated!
NSD#6 I've not spent today, but DH bought a couple of items for tea.
Managed my exercises today 😊 a good day at work. This afternoon I had some 5 year olds playing doctors & wrapping me up in bandages 😂 it wasn't fun though, when one put a stethoscope in my ears, then yelled down the 'heartbeat' part!! Bless him 🤣 Met DS3 afterwards, went to his course choices evening ready for going into 4th year. Pleased an iron on transfer had arrived in the post, to put on the memory bear, did the small pile of ironing too. Sold a 50p coin on the bay of E for a 200% profit 😃 listed a couple of notes no longer in circulation. Hoping it's money towards our flights at Easter. Had a bath with my book.
Grateful for 5 year olds fun, eboy sales, laughter, compliments from head teacherUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Hugs to @toni’s friend too.@thrifty the stethoscope made me chuckle. I bet you weren’t laughing at the time though!
Yesterday was a good day. Still coughing but only first thing in the morning and energy levels back to normal. No NSD as bf bought fruit with our joint card. Meditation and writing done, strength session in gym and splits challenge done. I also finished the book on digital minimalism that I’ve been reading. It was great. I must remember this weekend to note down some specific quotes from it.Grateful for it being Friday, for making friends in the gym, for coffee.Student loan £5655

Good morning,
Tired again today. Just having really vivid dreams just now and felt like I just dozed all night. But I'll try and go to the gym anyway and have an early night. Luckily a short day in work.
Checked my meter and did a prediction. Turning the heating down a lot has luckily made a big difference and we should be back down to about £250 for the next bill rather than the £390 like the last one.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/257 -
Yesterday I decided I definitely was not leaving the house so I continued plodding across my room. I did go out to the bins (4 rubbish bags - I'd had them set up in different rooms to join the filled paper, and can sacks I'd taken earlier). I was making slow, steady progress until 2.45 pm when the EA phoned (don't know why it's always the EA unless the buyer's (fill in your own expletives) son tries their solicitor first and she sends him away with a much deserved flea in his ear).
'They were looking to exchange contracts today (Thursday) but' ....they realised they hadn't seen the gas safety certificate - was it at the bungalow? Could I take it - to the solicitor/ EA ? Could I take a photo of it with my phone and email it? My phone doesn't do that (or if it does it's way beyond my current relationship with it) Did anyone else in the house have a phone that they could use ? (Beloved had washed her hair earlier and they were both fast asleep - and in Beloved's case it would probably be around midnight before she emerged, didn't tel them that).
Anyway I was genuinely, miserably ill and in no fit state to leave the house (in no small part due to running around on last minute fool's errands) so I refused and said it might possibly happen today. I had pills (totally different meaning if you miss off one of the 'l's), brushed my teeth and ate before 5 am and then had another little nap. I've just brushed my teeth again and had a shower (after taking my bedding back out of the bath - I can't move everything out of my room but moving the bulky bedding, duvet and new to me curtains gave me a lot more room to move). My solicitor has just phoned and I've said I'll be there to drop off the certificate in about 2 hours (she could hear how ill I was and thought I should leave it).
So I'll do that, post the cataract friendly version of the letter to the Isle of Man, sort food (limited options) and then collapse back into bed for the next few days. I need to go to the library (the three remaining books should have gone back/ been renewed yesterday and I need to sort mum's Council Tax or update them). Not sure I can go that far and doing it on the phone won't be possible unless I want to lose my voice altogether.
So my lovely turtles, can you just talk amongst yourselves today - I have more little things that make you happy, how to be happy, things to give up if you want to be happy and things not to do if you want to be happy but not sure how much energy I'll have left after the solicitor's/ PO (on the way back but across the road).
Grateful for feeling a bit better (until I try to move), the work I've done over the past weeks and months being apparent under the overlay of chaos (I have 9 empty bags for life and a mostly clear floor - I go dizzy if I bend down for too long) and the Wonderful Mrs Maisel (which wasn't what I expected at all and is just what I need atm)
