Thank you.
things have been a bit tough, he’s really struggled this round, finished Tuesday so hopefully from then on he’ll feel better. We have gone out a couple of times - a comedy night and for Sunday lunch, but he’s looked awful and only been there for me (to clarify I didn’t force him out! He wanted to go but I can tell he was only there for my benefit really)He’s due to have his tooth sorted on Friday (if his bloods are okay Wednesday) and to be honest we’re hoping they say he needs 2 weeks off because I can’t see him recovering enough to cope with the next round.I think for me, I felt like I was seeing our future, I found it hard to stay positive.
but we’re coming through it now.XxWidowed November 2024

Sorry to hear that this round has been so tough on OH. Hopefully the tooth can be dealt with this week as cumulative yuk from chemo plus tooth pain is really tough and so unfair on your OH. The chemo cycle doesn't leave much time for recovery.2

Quick update - he’s a week into a 3 week chemo break, longer than we wanted but, looking on the bright side, it should mean (hopefully) that he will go into the next round stronger and it shouldn’t hit him as hard.
I feel like I have my husband back, it’s lovely (until reality hits that it’s a short term reprieve but I am working on not letting those thoughts take over. Enjoy the now etc etc etc)

enjoy the break. It gives you "good days" to do good things as a family and builds up resilience for the next round.3

Working hard on focussing on what’s right in front of me, I’ve basically used some sinking funds and cleared the credit card!So the only debt I have, bar the mortgage, is the very account. That’s interest free at the moment, around 200 to be paid by July and 300 by December so I am going to focus on refilling the sinking funds.
(a week to go till his next round so I’m focusing on exercise and diet - we’ve been on some lovely walks, we live right on the coast and are very lucky to do so)Widowed November 2024
