Sorry to hear your husbands cancer is inoperable but from the sound of it he is still able to get out and about so living each day as it comes sounds like a good if trite mantra. Look after yourself too. I am a stress eater so totally get the overeating as you have so much going on.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Another one here who is thinking of you and your family1

Thank you all
sorry I went AWOL, it's been a bit tough mentally but I'm here
he's off chemo, first 4 rounds shrank the tumours a bit, but 5-8 only held it stable, so no surgery.
He's having a 3 month break to enjoy life before going back on a different chemo (which by all accounts is just as bad, if not worse, than the stuff he's just endured so trying not to dwell.)I took a bit of a dip mentally, but I have a coach and through my sessions with her I have decided that I need to suck it up so to speak. Or maybe a better phrase is fake it until you make it! I am okay, he is okay, we are okay, okay not forever but for right now.
Currently house hunting so being as careful as we can financially and focussing on that.
I now have 3 jobs (I know, I know) but I need the money - they're pretty interesting roles (parish clerk and burial board clerk) on top of my full time job - I did toy with the idea of going back to my degree too but think I should take one step at a time!
Hope you are all well - thank you for thinking of me, it means a lot

Good to hear from you, sorry to hear it's been so tough but glad to hear things are ok for now. Sounds like the coach has been useful for you. Sending hugs and positive thoughts your way x
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Good to hear from you and I am sorry things are tough. Dont try to take on too much although I do understand the need for money but you need time for you and to be with your other half to enjoy a bit of life before the chemo starts again.

He's still here and doing as okay as he can be, all things considered.
we fly to germany once a month for treatment as there's been a few muck ups with his treatment, so I'm working all hours and we fund raise, so busy is mostly how things are.
thank you again
