Wet windy and generally horrid here.Daily type stuff is done, bed, bins, bird / deer feeding, floors.Valli, I'm with you, hope all goes well xxxFayolle, pouring the stuff you want down the sink, is just the sort of thing I have done in the past, but kept quite about it as I felt such a fool for doing it. Like the other day I drained the cooked spuds, then for what ever reason, emptied the colander in to the bin, spuds and all!!Playing with cats now.............Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Thinking of you re: the Chemo @Valli
HB to @roundtuit DS - our DS will be 31 in Feb; DD 28 in May - how did that happen????? Glad work is treating you gently and isn't Pops a star
Xmas is slowly being decluttered chez Thrifty - all extraneous (do you like that word??) decs down / food consumed. Tree still up for NYE - I've got my eye on it for NYD
@Fayolle - thinking of you re: DD's NYE plans - they do grow out of it (eventually). DD had some absolute douzy's in her time
Keep breathing
DH in bed with the lurgy at the moment - was up coughing all last night - so not much sleep was had all round.

Afternoon all!! Sorry didn't check in first thing I had ironing to do and clothes to put to air. Valli sending good wishes for a smooth chemo session xx
Fayolle I think we have all done something similar in our time, I remember my sister sat peeling potatoes in front of the coal fire, as she was doing it she was throwing the peel onto the fire and putting the peeled spud into the pan... yes you can guess what happened I am sure!! Just had a message from OH's daughter she is apparently coming around tonight to drop some stuff off, I do wish they would give me more notice, the place is never tidy when they come!! arghhh xx
So far I have done 95% of the ironing and put bedding to dry on airer, sprayed disinfect on all surfaces and wiped down, put the ironing away where it belongs, and now I am sat trying to get rid of the chest pain before I strt doing something else xxx Have a good one ladies xx stay safe and happy xx

Sending good vibes your way Valli love xx
Busy day but nice. Almost up to date with the laundry. The wind and rain here has been horrific for days, 50mph + constantly. We haven’t been able to put the bins out so they are overflowing.
Fire roaring, animals have been fed their tea, TD is going and we have a film on. Took a large bag of stuff to the charity shop today, and did a small SM shop.
Aiming not to visit the shops AT ALL in January (gulp). Haven’t got the courage to start my own thread but may track on here if that’s okay. Freezers full and community pantry helps. I really need the hens to at least lay me an egg per day though, I’m missing my fresh eggs but they refuse to lay in this weather and I don’t blame them!Off to a party tomorrow night which the kids will love. I will struggle to make it to midnight I’m sure, I’ve never stayed up for it in the past.
Big hugs to all xx10 -
Thank you for the birthday wishes for DS. He's out on the lash in pigpen land tonight. After spending time this afternoon axe throwing!!!! I didn't know that was a thing 🤣 Apparently he turned out to be quite good at it. Hidden skills eh? I'll send him a list of targets......no, not really. Joke.
My car started OK to go to work, and eventually 😱 started to come home. That's it now til Tuesday - hopefully the garage will be open then....if the new key fob battery doesn't solve the problem.
I need to buckle down this weekend and get back on top of things. I've not even been putting out the recycling. My bad.
Enjoy your evening

well that went well. Apparently this is a more expensive one - and I dont need pre meds, post meds or injections.
Decluttered a nap this afternoon as I had a bad night. On the plus side got towels and another load through TD
Been to Mr Ms. bought 2 packs of chipolatas YS so now split into sixes and in the freezerDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Glad he has enjoyed his day.. my step-pa is 75 today!
My mother was commandeered to take me to get Dots glasses fixed.. spec savers to the rescue!! Then we sneaked to M&S cafe for a toastie.. alas mine was poisoned so now I feel like I am dying.. I should have read the label.. I know this.. but we had hot chocolate and it was a mushroom and elemental cheese toastie.. how could I refuse?!
Dry laundry upstairs.. wet stuff hung up..
Lakeland sale stuff arrived and admired..
Amazon stuff arrived.. coffeemate is so exciting!.. loo rolls and kitchen rolls.
I have a bundle of bills to pay which I will sort this evening and write them all down and crack on..
Tomorrow we are going to the in-laws.. do not expect glowing reports..

Morning all, glad your treatment went well, @Valli. Hope the winds subside, @Deleted_User.
Managed to water and weed in the polytunnel. A lot more weeding still to do. The broccoli has suffered from the cold spell we had, but seems to be trying to come back. The larger cauliflower plants have taken a hit, but the smaller ones are fine! Maybe a different variety. The pac choi is unscathed, very surprised at that. And the chard is growing back, I think chard in a tunnel is indestructible. Didn't remove any cobwebs, maybe later.
So far today. Made pancakes, OH made porridge. Three grandchildren fed, porridge, pancakes, yogurts, waffles and fruit. All now dressed. I've helped with the making of the solar system, stuck the nose back on a hedgehog and helped paint a bird box. (They are now playing computer games and watching TV.) And loaded the DW and TD.
May get more weeding done later, only have the children till lunch, hopefully. They are going away next week. I could get more done then.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxx

Morning all xx
Glad to hear that the chemo went well Valli. xx
Oh piggers you do make me laugh. If you're giving your list to DS I'm giving him my list too. I hope your tum has recovered from the poisoned toastie and that your day at the out-laws glows in all the right places xx
Well. That's it then. The last day of 2022. We made it. I was hanging on by an eyelash at times - but I'm sure I'm not the only one. Time to count my blessings. And YOU, my flylady friends reading this, are one of those blessings. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. With all my heart thank you. My life is better because you are in it. ❤❤❤
Flying so far today. OK. Flapping is as far as I got. I need to address the chaos that sneaked up while I was successfully negotiating Christmas and my return to work.
I'm dressed, made my bed, eaten breakfast, taken meds, supped two brews, brought down the laundry hamper, done a laundry shuffle, moved the airer from the kitchen (in my way) to the front door square of floor called a hall (still in my way but not as much). I've put a carrier bag in the bag of bags, put two books (read over Christmas) into cs bag, sorted out the pile of post and put aside stuff for recycling and stuff for shredding, added stuff to the Admin pile, and retrieved the TV licence reminder which needs sorting today. I've tipped the used tea bags from their holder into the bin too. Mount teabags. That was a first!
My draining board is covered with stuff to be recycled. That's the next job.
QHC anyone? Do you remember when HHCs were a regular thing? 🤔
Back soon
