Hi all
A little late but Happy New Year to you all.
Last night was interesting, DS1 and GF turned up here at 9am having abandoned their fancy meal out because DS felt so ill, he was burning up and shivering. DH and I were wondering about getting some medical advice as it is only 3 days since he had his Crohn's treatment but he wasnt having any of that. I also felt a bit grotty so we were all tucked up in bed at 11pm. DS is still in bed so we have been to parents for lunch without him. GF stayed with him but has now gone to see her family.
So that's it. Christmas and New Year done. Feeling a bit flat now and the return to work is looming. Hoping to do something nice tomorrow for the last day of freedom. I have de-Christmassed most of the house but the tree is still up, will deal with that tomorrow.9 -
Still waiting for DD to need picking up from the station, DH had lunchtime beers so it’s my 30 mile round trip pick up. It would help if she was actually on a train yet…*sigh**.
Like YL, I have de-Christmassed most bits apart from the tree. That is tomorrow morning’s job, along with heaving the boxes back into the loft. The spare room has been turned back to being spare again. DW has run and been emptied. I have spent a couple of hours this afternoon sorting out the finances, and trying to make a budget for this year. Last year’s method didn’t really work that well, so hopefully the All New Improved Version 2 will be better. Even better would be if it could add a few pennies into the pot, but that is asking too much 🤣
Hm pizza focaccia style is brewing in the airing cupboard. Just need to get this pick up done to be able to relax…

Xmas Tree down - replaced by Fernie (large palm plant).
Decorations and tree safely stored in attic.
Last bits of Xmas food & drink to be consumed tonight....
.... and that's a wrap on Xmas & New Year 2022.
Looking forward to getting on top of the house more in 2023.
(((Hugs))) to all,
