I wish all of you who've joined (or are already members) of the Free Postcode Lottery good luck - prior to Christmas my referral stats were just 2 referrals!  For some reason it's over 20 now    - stick with it - I've been a member for a few years

I'm not actually flying today though I have WM, DW and am WUALTD

Just sat here resting at the moment - enjoying the relief of having made it through the last 3 days - that's a wrap for Xmas 2022.

Feel like a balloon with a very slow puncture - letting it all go.

Going to start in on the dailies but at a snail's pace. 

I also need to find some homes for the last of the Xmas gibble. 

Over the next 3 days I'll start taking down the "extra" Xmas decorations. I leave the tree up to see in the New Year but it'll be taken down later on, on the 1st or 2nd at the latest.

Starting to think about next year's goals - decluttering is going to be high on the list.

I have sorted 2 main presents for next christmas.. and all the stocking fillers for the bigger ones.. this is why I saved my profits from shifting stuff on V!nted.. I have my beady eye on some boots for DD2 .. and I will start my christmas knitting next week.. I still have a few things I need to sew up, finish.

I need to feed the gremlins.. and empty the bins in the kitchen and get the DW running.. OH finishes work at 6 today

I did so love having all 12 beastlets home yesterday.. I may quite like them all.. We did things a different way round.. we gave all the smalls presents first then did adult presents once it was calmer... definitely worked so much better.

Evening ladies

Work decluttered. I have cancelled everything I had booked in work wise until 9th January - 2023 is the year I refuse to do something if I am not comfortable doing it. It’s the year I stop pleasing others and start pleasing myself. So I’m starting now 😉😉😉

No flying done but there is always tomorrow. The weather is awful, windy and wet. It was still and snowy when I woke up this morning, far preferable.

I have YL and Fayolle firmly by the hand. And a smidgen of asb's FU attitude. . . I have rent to pay and can't afford to end up in HR, so a smidgen will have to suffice 😉

I'm up, dressed, had breakfast,  found my ID and Access cards (well remembered 😉), found my Useful Telephone Numbers list, .... I guess I'm ready to rumble.

I've made my bed and I'll feed the birds before I set off. 🤞that Feargal will start. And I'm calling at DS and GF's on my way home to drop off his birthday card and cheque. 

Sounds like a plan.

DD&co are coming at lunchtime today, and DS1&co are joining the party later in the afternoon.  DD is bringing most of lunch with her, I'm providing a few leftovers, and I shall hand the kitchen over to her and keen chef DGS2.  I did make some shortbread (in my small food processor) and a cake (using the stand mixer) yesterday, but DH moved anything more than about 500g in weight, and also blitzed the chicken and rice soup for lunch.  I can't say the soup was a complete success - you could have cut it with a knife, and it needed more seasoning and lemon juice - but we ate it all!  This evening's meal for everyone is going to be takeaway curry, so minimum work for all of us

DD offered that she and DSiL would do any little outstanding jobs around the house, so I have made a little list for them - one item being to pot up the plants from that annoyingly enormous basket separately, then DH can take them to the CS next week with some other bits and pieces.

DH is already preparing breakfast, over an hour earlier than he did yesterday, so we are off to a good start.  I've cleared the rest of the paper detritus off my desk, so that DGC1-4  can use the study bedroom as their hangout if they wish, instead of commandeering the sofas.  I must remind DH to hoover through downstairs and also clean his ensuite after showering, and I will clean the shower doors and handbasin in the main bathroom, ditto.

Whatever your plans for today, I hope they all work out well xxx

ASB well done, I did the s  o d you all when I left work, and suddenly I didn't have to worry about keys/ who was in 1st thing, was the door open on time and such like.

Getting back to normal here as well, bin operatives just been, OH working 8 to 4 WFH today, cat 2 was evicted from his work space at 7.50am for walking all over the keyboard, while it was 'waking up'.

Ironing is done and away

Birds / deer fed.

Shower has had mould spray squirted at time, need to clean off and sort.

To do hoovering, but cat 1 is asleep on their old cat tree in the hallway, I don't have the heart to wake him.

Good morning all. It's me, delurking, from Wales. 

I need to get my flylady hat back on. We had five days without water on the run up to Christmas. So no washing done, washing up in boiled rainwater. Two extra big children for Christmas, so nothing done for those days either! Today I will start again on my mission to have a beautiful, uncluttered house.

Happy belated birthday, @pigpen. Well done, @Valli, I've been on there for several years too. So nice to hear of someone winning. Might be my turn next? Good luck to all of you who have also joined.

Glad you're taking a few days off, @Deleted_User. Enjoy the time with your children. How are the sheep? Are you going to have them scanned? Useful to know how many to expect. Hope your snow clears soon.

Rain of the not-so-fine variety here. I need to do some admin 🥱, decide whether I am going to remain “professional” for another, and probably final, year. Work have said that they will pay, for the first time ever, so I s’pose I could put the effort in… What I’m actually (well, possibly) going to do is to sort out the pile of recipe cuttings. To go with the folder or 3 that I already have. Do I have a recipe hoarding problem 😳

Wm is on, nothing from yesterday’s load needed the iron on it, so that in my book is a win.
