Happy Birthday, pigpen! xxx
Congratulations on your win, Valli - what a lovely surprise!
This morning I have tidied round and put away most of the Christmas presents we received (mine are mostly plants or consumables - not necessarily edibles - of various types)
I have tidied my bedroom and DH has carried a small load for the WM downstairs for me (I am still obeying horse piddle orders to the best of my ability).
I've tidied my desk.
I have also replaced the dressing that the hospital nurse put on, on Friday, and am hoping that it will stick until I see the GP nurse this coming Thursday.
The sun is shining, so I want to take Rosie out for a slightly longer walk this morning - maybe 200 yards? But first we are expecting my boss to call round for a brief visit.
Other than that, I am following Honey_Bear's example and planning to SOFA and eat leftovers. I hasten to add that I have decluttered 7 lb since coming out of the horse piddle10 -

And everyone has gone home. Another lovely day and lots of lovely thoughtful presents.
Tomorrow DGD2 is coming to stay for three days as her daddy is having a transplant, so I intend to not do too much except play.Spend less now, work less later.12 -

Hope everyone has had a lovely festive time these last few days. We went up to my parents and stayed over until this morning - we were planning to stay a little longer but my 3 year old niece is in fine form of tantrums atm and I was completely overwhelmed and overstimulated so we came home a little early. Initially we were planning to stay here for New Years but my sister thinks we can all fit in hers (I'm not sure how - she only has room for a double pull out sofa bed in their downstairs and the three upstairs bedrooms are occupied!) for NYE so we'll likely go there which made leaving early feel a little better.
Before we left on Christmas Eve we made a big effort to tidy the whole place (I hate returning from a weekend away or longer to mess) so the house is looking fairly reasonable now, which means in my week off I have some time to really get a head start on flying and also tackle some icebergs I've been putting off. We even got most of the RoD (the back bedroom) sorted!
We're trying to figure out if we can book a little weekend away and possibly a baby shower in late January/early Feb (due date is early March) as well and whilst I do want these things I feel totally overwhelmed with it, all my own fault for 1) leaving it so late and 2) suggesting it to my OH
I'm hoping I'll feel better when my brain has had time to chill out from having "PLAY PAW PATROL AUNTY!!!" at me every 30 seconds. Definitely a learning experience but quite happy I've got at least another year before that becomes my life
