Hi, thanks for resurrecting this thread, i was going to go on a hunt for it later!

I managed to softmod the kids xbox a couple of months ago (a minor miracle in itself ) but havent really got very far with it since. I wanted to stream stuff from the kids pc to the telly but I could never set it up :sad: Does anyone know of an idiots guide using vista? I tried following the steps in the making your xbox sing tutorial but didnt get anywhere with it.

The weather has stopped working on mine...handy feature I thought. After checking out the XBMC forum I see I'm not the only one but has anyone got an idiots guide to getting it working again?

Hi, yeah, i have xbmc I have managed to work out how to save the kids programmes on the xbox but not really managed much else :sad:

I have a spare one with an 80Gb HDD fitted and with XBMC installed and setup - pm me if interested.

i still think its the best media centre available today and am using it for all my media and until 2 weeks ago was even downloading BBC iPlayer programmes to watch on my TV (The Beeb changed something, but the xbmc team are hoping they release a fix withuin the next day or so to enable streaming iPlayer episodes - cool!)

Have you tried your local "Game" store? Ours had loads of these to shift...probably still have.

You just need to update to the latest XBMC build. Download it unzip, ftp into your current XBMC dashlocation and copy the UserData folder from the Xbox into the new build on your PC HD. Switch to an alternate Dash on the Xbox so that you can delete and replace all the XBMC files via ftp.
