@Floss Ooooooh!!
@Rosa_Damascena. That hurricane lampy thingy would look fantastic in my living room!Looks better in real life - the wonky checks are due to fancy seaming effects. Plan to wear it with thick black tights, black suede ankle boots and a black shorty cashmere cardi. Can't really see all the intricate detail here....soz! Wish I had taken a photo of the 20p evening dress10 -
Two charity shops near work - DEBRA and a hospice shop - both quite pricey imho. However I did get a hand-painted dish for £3 in the hospice shop yesterday. It had a picture wire loop to hang on the wall, but we will use as a fruit bowl. Got a set of 2 boxed Royal Worcester egg coddlers today in DEBRA for £3. These will go on the Bay of E for my charity fundraising.
Also found a wool Christmas jumper in BHF on Saturday - £5.99.

I decided to give my large golden tea lamp a go by way of comparison. I am not disappointed with this, £8 well spent:

I love both of those lamps @Rosa_Damascena but the gold one possibly wins for me.
Love the checked dress and the black skirt @Miro. I’m in the office 5 days a week now and tbh my capsule wardrobe is working okay but I’m now on the look out for some alternatives. The dress code isn’t corporate but I like to wear something smart. I am wearing the new to me Christmas jumper tomorrow with some navy trousers.

Rosa_Damascena said:I'm actually a little disappointed with the lamp - more red than the golden brown I saw when I bought it. Still it will be great for outdoor use in the summer with citronella tea lights.

Haven’t posted for a while but here are some recent buys:
Small eau du nile Paul Costello leather bag with gold chain £4
Black patent leather Hotter slingbacks with cut out detail and an inch heel (about all I can manage height wise) £10 They look unworn.
white Laura Ashley heavy cotton long sleeved tee £4
Navy Lycra PE shorts £4. To wear under dresses when cycling in summer.
Cream White Stuff top. Tee shirt style with patterned neck line £3.50
indigo teal leggings still with quality control stickers £2.50. I was with DH and he was mightily relieved that I got these rather than the silver ones I was flirting with.
Soap and Glory bath bomb 50p
And for DGS:
Hairy McClairy book 50p
Wooden abacus £3.59
Green with navy lining Boden Kids warm hooded jacket £3.
Big bag donated6 -
Not bought much lately as still waiting to complete on my house but these slipped in 🤣
The book was 50p on a supermarket charity bookshelf and the Thomas Germany teapot, creamer and sugar bowl were £2 at my local YMCA shop. I'm really pleased with the teapot as my best dinner service is the Thomas with the thin platinum band. 😁
