goldfinches said:This afternoon I visited the Sobell House Hospice shop that @C_J recommended a while ago but did not find anything I particularly wanted, although the rails were very full, so came away empty handed.
Further to the discussion about how to wear wide legged trousers I snapped this photo of one of the M&S mannequins on Wednesday afternoon because I thought the trousers almost looked like a long, slim skirt unless you were quite close to the wearer.

I tried searching Amazon but I can't remember the first word of the title!

This year has been a bit of a funny one - in that gruesome heat I got a huge amount of “grief laundry” done & routed on via the chazzer, for which I am utterly thankful. Right people, right time, etc. With the office move I had the team brew kit (assembled from chazzers) back & was able to send 20 mugs back into circulation, with bonus teaspoon.I’ve acquizzed six pearsons pots that hold just enough water to keep me from drowning seedlings & also in Ornskirk picked up one of several little Denby pots that called to me. (Lancashire has gone quiet but then I think those who have the eye have pipped me - no harm, it’s not like I’m short on pieces!)
Come the new year, I’m going to try harder, both donating & hunting….12 -
I was in London this weekend and popped into the hospice shop in Greenwich. I did see some Converse lookalike trainers, but they were black and white and I did want to have some maroon ones so I didn't buy anything there.4

I spotted this in a chazzer this afternoon- I have lots of grey so I thought it might lift an outfit. It's only now that I realise it's Planet!I also bought a dressy Per Una top for £1 and a large glass mosaic hurricane lamp for a couple of quid:No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Otley this afty....an M & S fitted, knee length, winter dress in a camel/black/dark red small check heavy jersey fabric and with an exposed gold zip up the back. £6.99 in the RSPCA shop. From the St Gemma's shop - a black wool knee length skirt with a heavily embroidered and cut out hem detail, BNWT by Cinnabar. It had just been unloaded off the delivery van, (this shop gets the unsold items from the other shops in the area and they are sold for 99p apart from a few 'choice' items that are priced a little higher.) I couldn't make out if the skirt, previously chazza priced at £19.99, had been repriced at £9.99 or 99p. Anyhoo took it to the til and yipeee 99p!!
Also got a couple of Chrimbo cards from the 20p shop. This shop had the most gorgeous oyster coloured bias cut satin evening dress with spaghetti straps and inset lace detailing hanging in the window - an absolute steal at 20p. Wasn't even tempted tho as would have nowhere to wear it and I think my days of 'bias cut' and 'spaghetti straps' are well behind me now!!!!!

If ever you feel you are being stalked around North Yorkshire, @Miró, don't worry. It's just me trying to work out how you spot all these gorgeous things! The M&S dress sounds extremely smart and I think the skirt sounds good too! Picture?
@Rosa_Damascena, the lamp will look fabulous when lit, you are lucky I'm too far away to follow you round too!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
