Both seemed like the old fashioned ‘Pre-Porter’ stylee chazzas. Stopped off in Thirsk on the way back and picked up a b/n HeatGen long sleeved, bum covering length, t-shirt in navy for £4 in the BHF shop.
Made a bit of a boo boo this afty. Went into Northallerton for the Remembrance Sunday gathering and popped into the BHF shop afterwards. Found a pair of lovely bnwt burgundy trousers by a make called ‘Liverpool of Los Angeles’(?) priced at £6. Got them home and realised that the chazza had used the American sizing on the hanger so I had a pair of trousers 2 sizes bigger than I anticipated. Oh well, I have a pair of very roomy and comfy trousers to wear around the house now! RRP $89
wotever that is in £.

Helmsley is always full of bikers in the summer - I envy them because they go over the moors and the self I would have been had I not met DH would have been quite likely to have joined them! I'd recommend having lunch at the café in the Walled Garden, and trying the bookshop on the market square and the little deli nearby.
That's off topic - so is the fact I was at Northallerton Remembrance today, as well. But I did buy something in BHF yesterday and didn't notice those nice trousers. You could try taking them in I guess?

@Potternerd - the midi dress is smart, I would have definitely snapped it up (even though it is not my colour!).No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.6 -
I'm up very late due to not being able to sleep and realised I'd forgotten to add my latest finds from my favourite BHF shop so here they are.
Left to right late Victorian jelly/blancmange mould with strawberries and leaves in a pretty pattern, £4, another British Library Crime Classic, £2, Alice Medrich's cookbook, £1, a Mepal bowl with lid £0.50 and a Sephora hand mask, £1.6 -

Le Creuset envy here...
What a great find! And the baking book... but would you believe I actually turned down a trawl of Thirsk charity shops the other day? I have plenty of clothes and plenty of books. And plenty of china too but as I collect vintage, there's always the 'must have because they aren't making any more of them' aspect. I also love buying yarn, but this year have bought almost none, until I've reduced the stash (which takes a lot more ingenuity and mugging up on adaptations than just buying new, so it's a slow process).
It would all be a lot easier if I found getting rid as easy as acquiring.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
