For those in the same area as I am - the Age UK shop has had large donation of history books, quality hardbacks. I've added a couple to DH's Christmas present but left plenty for others.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

This afternoon I visited the Sobell House Hospice shop that @C_J recommended a while ago but did not find anything I particularly wanted, although the rails were very full, so came away empty handed.
Further to the discussion about how to wear wide legged trousers I snapped this photo of one of the M&S mannequins on Wednesday afternoon because I thought the trousers almost looked like a long, slim skirt unless you were quite close to the wearer.

Tested out the chazza shops in Hemsley this afty. Has a good rootle around the Hospice one and Oxfam but found nothing of interest. Both seemed like the old fashioned ‘Pre-Porter’ stylee chazzas. Stopped off in Thirsk on the way back and picked up a b/n HeatGen long sleeved, bum covering length, t-shirt in navy for £4 in the BHF shop.

I bought a cosy cardi from BHF this morning, £5. It's Primarni and so far I've taken off the rather nice oversized wooden button that was dragging the fabric down, and am intending to give it an 'invisible' (press stud) fastening.
I can't remember if I mentioned that I bought a willow pattern jug from Cancer Research the other day, £2.45. It has 'signs of age' (DH reckons it's about 150 years old) and no great value but it's pleasing me to look at it.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
