Had a trip to Otley today but despite being tempted by a pair of black velvet Brax jeans for 99p....I resisted. Some news for anyone who visits Otley.... a big new Barnardo's looks as if it will be opening shortly in the Orchard Gate complex next to the bus station, (used to be M & Co). It is being stocked at the moment.8

I'm still going through all the things I succumbed to in Kidlington yesterday and deciding what looks nice on and what doesn't but meanwhile here are the very few kitchen bits I found and the books I bought.
Centre back is a container on wheels with a divided flip top lid, £3.50, which I'm planning to use for dried pulses, on top of that are three random metal pastry cutters (a crown, a tulip and a flower, £1 each) and an Emma Bridgewater for M&S metal flower pot holder, £1.50, which I bought to put the little pots of miniature narcissi in next spring. Then I bought a book by Claire Ptak and two British Library Crime Classics, an Australian Women's Weekly book on Big Soups, Nevil Shute's The Far Country, a good quality shallow fairy cake tin and a Veggie Slow Cooker collection, all 50p each.
Then today I bought these two, £2 each, in my favourite BHF shop. Has anyone read the Agatha Christie before, I've never come across it and thought I'd read all her books.
ETA: I wrote this yesterday and saved the draft but then didn't press the Post Comment button so found it waiting for me today. Must have been tireder than I thought yesterday, sorry.

I meant to say that the black holdall looks like a jolly good bargain @Potternerd and the coat is one of my favourite shades of blue too.
@C_J - I haven't managed to get to the Sobell House shop on Cherwell Drive yet largely because the cycle path from the University Parks to Marston is closed for bridge maintenance but my next fine and free day I might try going round the long way because you make it sound worth a visit. You also make Bicester sound worth a visit or two so I shall be looking at the bus routes while the fares are still such good value, thankyou for the tipoffs.
Top to bottom jeans all very dark indigo and nice thick and soft denim, RochaJohnRocha, £6, Autograph, £6, and Rohan travel ones with three hidden pockets, £5.
Front left a very dark navy lightweight crew neck jumper by M&S which despite being entirely artificial fibres is lovely and soft, £4.50. Then front right a Woolovers 80% merino 20% cashmere navy collar with pearl buttons jumper, £8. At the back a soft and fluffy acrylic scarf in pale blue and white hounds tooth check, £1, and a Gap golden jumbo cord straight knee length skirt with pockets and front buttons, £6.
Front left a BNWT Land's End polo neck long sleeved multicoloured stripy top, £6.50, a long sleeved scoop neck red Land's End top, £2, and at the back a square neck navy and white striped Crew Clothing t-shirt, £5."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

@goldfinches - Claire Ptak I believe is favoured by Harry and Meghan (wedding and birthdays). Let us know how any of your recipes turn out?No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.7 -
@goldfinches I think, if the fares are broadly similar, I would be tempted to take the train to Bicester (town stop, not Bicester North) as you could maybe take your bike with you. Although the station is very near the centre, it’s a bit of a trek to the Murdock Road warehouse and cycling might be the better option.

I seem to have replaced the Saturday Bedale Car Boot with a meander around Thirsk now. Today’s finds…. A dark grey cashmere polo neck sweater by Isle for £3.99 and a pair of b/n Hobbs lined, black & white ‘birds eye check’, wide legged trousers with turn ups for £5.99 from the Herriot Hospice shop. Gonna take some getting used to this stylee of trousers after all the slimfit/straightlegged styles!! How does one wear them….help please?7
