@Miro - love the skirt and the jammies sound wonderful.
@Cherryfudge - Sashiko is something that's on my "to learn" list too.
@Florenceem - very envious of your loose bottomed tart tray, that's something I'm looking out for but haven't found yet.
@Rosa_Damascena - is it my eyes or does the bag on the right have butterflies in the pattern?
I was going to have a foray today however the weather put paid to that by pouring down relentlessly, think I'd better put a snorkel or even an aqualung on my needs list. Hopefully tomorrow will be drier as I have the day free and feel like a nice long cycle ride.

@goldfinches - you are correct, but when I bought the satchel all I was conscious of was the practical navy blue colour and looked carefully to make sure it is 100% functional. The butterflies only became apparent to me when I unpacked it at home! Which tells me aesthetic lepidoptery is hard-wired deep into my mind.
I popped into another at lunchtime (am trying to exercise whilst it is still light, although how long I'll be able to keep that up for is anyone's guess!) and bought a couple of mugs, a CD and a scarf for myself - pink, red and gold paisley this time - and a tiara hairband for my little niece. I like seeing her dressed up like a lady, when she picks for herself its inevitably jeans, a sweatshirt and a baseball cap that is inexplicably placed back to front. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

From the BHF shop in Thirsk today - a pair of Phase Eight black eveningy trousers in a patterned damask sort of fabric, £12 and an M & S midi skirt, also black, from the Herriot Hospice shop for £4.7 -
Right, brace yourselves for an essay on the charity shops in Kidlington which is where I cycled to today in lovely, bright sunshine and crisp, autumnal air.
First stop was the Sue Ryder shop where there was a big display of Craft bits and bobs, a lovely Christmas section and lots of clothes including a lot in larger sizes i.e. 20 - 24 as well as some children's bits.
Next I went to the Blue Cross shop which was absolutely crammed with clothes rails, scarves and jewellery and where the manager told me that they price everything low in order to keep it easy when they're sorting and so that customers can get a bargain. Again there was a big choice in the larger sizes for women, lots of children's clothes and I spotted a size 8 red Boden 100% cashmere cardigan for £3.50 and other good buys too.
Then I went to the Sobell House shop which again is mostly adult clothes, shoes and scarves but did have some books, china and games too.
Lastly I went to the Helen House Hospice shop and again found it was mostly adult clothes and jigsaws with a few books and some china.
Overall, compared to the charity shops I usually visit in Oxford the shops in Kidlington have a poorer selection of books, china and kitchen equipment but a wider choice of women's, men's and children's clothing and a lot more toys, jigsaws, DVDs and games. The thing I really noticed was that the larger sizes for women had a lot more choice in Kidlington compared to Oxford shops."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

I had just been thinking that I didn't need any more clothes after my recent spending sprees at the chazzers (!) but I was waiting for my husband and it was very chilly suddenly and I popped in St Vincent's. My husband was late as there was an incident near Chalkwell park at about 1.30 and so he was late as there were helicopters and the buses were diverted.
I found a very warm looking rip-off Oodie for me (£5) and a cosy River Island zip up top (£4) for my husband. Then two scarves and a book caught my eye. It was all £14. Brie would have been jealous as they had a whole rack of scarves displayed in all different colours.

The details of yesterday's incident in Chalkwell Park are incredibly vague. My suspicion is a cardiovascular event / self-harm and that the air ambulance happened to be out and the park was easy to land in. That there were 2 is odd, but if there had been a matter of public safety it would be well known (nothing stays quiet for long round here). I hope this chap makes a full recovery.
Feeling envious of @goldfinches - you live in such a nice part of the world! Controlled zones included.
