    Hi

No.12 with £166.49 for May please.

    Thanks 🙂
Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.
Starting Mortgage Balance (June 2019) £72,000.
Aiming to be mortgage free by my 40th birthday, June 2026!
  • KajiKita, we had some money set aside in a savings account but ever since our mortgage rate jumped a few months ago, we've been using it to overpay our mortgage... don't ask me why we didn't use it all in one go; I'm not entirely sure myself! We do manage to save most months too, so that's also gone towards the mortgage.
    Original mortgage: £278,827 (September 2018)
    Current mortgage: £0 (15.07.2023)
    Original mortgage-free date: September 2033
    Current mortgage-free date: July 2023
    MFW 2023 #10: £28,909.64/£25,000

  • Hello! Newie here, but ever since I decided to buy a place - I've been plotting for mortgage freedom. Settlement is on Thursday this week, when we're also getting the keys.

I've calculated out that to get to 60% LTV over my 5 year fix, I need to be overpaying by £14550pa. So that's my goal for this year!

Could I join you please? :)
