Excellent results so far so well done everyone who has reported so far for January.

Have people found it easy to save this month?  I must admit I found it easier than previous Januarys as I saved near the beginning of the month.

My target for February is £13 so rounding up from the £12.74 the challenge amount comes to and will save near the beginning of the month again. Expensive month due to three separate short breaks, two further down in Cornwall and one in London.  I also have my birthday and car insurance/breakdown cover due.

Spreadsheet updated and thank you all for making reporting so easy by emboldening and remembering to  give me your savings record number.  It all helps.

As a group we have saved almost £2k so far.  Not bad with pennies ;)

Think I may go to December next as there will not be any Council Tax in February or March. Then drop back to April…will this be ok is it likely to cause a problem?

That is fine.  I just record the amount you save in any particular month so it does not matter if you save the February amount or the December amount or any random amount really.

MSMOON No 61 My JANUARY total is the grand sum of £8.12 (1px2).

My target for February is the classic 1p x 2 whatever the total is as any other adaptation would cause me severe distress! :D

    Hi 👋🏼

Number 75 here! My total for the month will be £69.70 as I’ve been mixing in a few of December’s numbers in with January to make it a bit easier at the end of the year 😊

#73 here. My total for January will be £4.96. In February I'm hoping to start working backwards from the December amounts, maybe mixing in the lower numbers when I run out of money! Good to see everyone else's progress. Keep saving!
