Hello, Can I still join for this year, hope it’s not too late, as I wanted to start and not hold back until 2024? Milly15

London_1 - It must be very exciting to be clearing out in preparation for your long planned move next year. I hope you manage to find a lovely new home together.Mrs Salad Dodger - your knitting is so beautiful as always!
TC77 - Hope you continue to recover and that your ankle heals.Queen Jess - fantastic news about your new job after all the recent stress 🎉 Well done you!
I had stalled a bit due to a health episode and rested in the TLC carriage but hopefully I can get going again. Feeling way behind where I want to be at the moment, however I have got a lot done this year which I need to remember. Some fabric has been decluttered into wearable clothes so I am pleased with that.
Thank you for all the inspiration.14 -
Well, nothing decluttered from here except Covid – my first experience of it and I’ve never been so fatigued or had that sort of brain fog before! 😱 It did bring back the chest infection I thought I’d decluttered a couple of weeks back. That too is now almost decluttered.
House purchase has stalled as I have a very big query on one of the boundary fences as one corner of the house is in next door’s garden which is not how it’s shown on the title deeds. Hopefully once that’s sorted satisfactorily things will move again. 🤞
The chilling of the weather means a few more clothes in – I arrived with summer clothing and everything else is in storage. It’s going to be like a mega-Christmas when I get to open all my boxes again but whilst it’s been a pain not having all my stuff, it has given me time to take a detached look at what I want and where I want to be. In many ways, it’s roll-on 2024 and a brand new start/me. D

Friday I watched all 5 episodes of ‘Better’ which I quite enjoyed. Sorted out a bit more paperwork & did some knitting. DH & I finished off the hm soup 🤤 When DH got back from the sm I put everything away. DSis managed to get her washing partially dried outside but finished off in the td. DH has sorted out renewal of our free Oyster Cards 👏 & I have started a new series called ‘ Sherwood’ which has started rather slowly (setting the scene, I suppose) + a bit more knitting. Dinner was pork steaks, mash, broccoli & carrots. Wudupa.
2352 - 2356 Kitchen recycling, plastic jar, glass jar, magazine, drinks cans - recycled
2357 Kitchen detritus binned
Saturday was a bright sunny day but already at the maximum temperature of 6C by 11:00 a.m. I finished watching ‘Sherwood’ very informative & sad to say, nothing much has changed from how our government worked then & how it works now 😔 I have sorted some more paperwork generating 0.5” of shredding. Emptied the shredder into the wheelie bin as it contained plastic bits, then shredded half a sackful of newspapers & cardboard for worm bedding.
2358 - 2359 Cardboard & newspapers shredded & recycled as worm bedding
2360 Shredding bin emptied into wheelie bin
DH watched the last qualifying races & sprint race of the 2023 MotoGP season & then came downstairs to make soup. Soup made. DH & I braved the cold & did a bit of work in the garden - cutting down plants + a bit of weeding. DH also fed the worms & filled the bird feeders. A lovely surprise was that we were visited by a robin 😊 Started watching another new series ‘Kin’ - rather enjoying it but a bit too much violence & swearing for my taste 😔 Finished watching ‘Kin’ which had a rather violent & shocking finish setting it up for a 2nd series 😱 Dinner was chicken & mushroom risotto 🤤 with enough leftovers for risotto cakes for tomorrow’s dinner. Wudupa
2361 - 2363 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, empty wine bottle - recycled
2364 Kitchen detritus binned
Sunday (10:15) is dry but very dark. First load of washing is in, DH is awake & about to watch the last Moto 3 race of the season. I have my first cuppa - will post this then catch up with cheerleading on a separate post 😉 Wishing everyone a dry, warm Sunday 😊

Siebrie, I see your dilemma 😉 It is not the most attractive looking storage box 😉 Definitely needs to be hidden away. 😂
Brie,, good luck with the kitchen renovation 🍀
Chrystal, enjoy yourself planning your new kitchen 😊
Congratulations again QueenJess 🥳 I will join everyone in saying how pleased I am that you have a new job to look forward to 😊 Fingers crossed that the paperwork comes through quickly & I hope that your notice period isn’t too long 🤞Really hoping that you still have a couple of weeks holiday to use up which could form part of your notice period 🙏🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏

Oh Mrs SD, I have already been looking for my next project. There is a bungalow that I like, rather it's location I like. It is 1990's with a huge ugly conservatory the whole length of the place at the back. I have already spent happy hours mentally knocking walls down and relocating kitchen and bathrooms! Not achievable atm as I have spent so much money on this house, but never say never!:16

Goodness, I've been away for a few days and missed 50 messages - will catch up later... I did notice the good news about Queen Jess' new job as I was skimming through though - congratulations... 🍾.
Work has been busy, bathroom is progressing - I have a new shiny bath and one tiled wall..... Heard some sad health related news from two friends and from another friend who's DD is in a similar situation to my son was a couple of years ago, so all of that has been hard to get my head around. Oh, and and I've had an assignment to finish which I just submitted !!
It was DS' birthday yesterday - he was out all day at a Church event but we had a nice evening meal together - all very low key which is what he said he wanted.
I'm working 4 days next week so that I can have a full week off the following week. A nice leisurely afternoon is in order as I've got to work tomorrow.
Tasks
Finished and submitted assignment
