Starting decluttering papers today - so far 3" stack into trash and more to go. Decided to stay home today and take it "easy". Will be moving boxes around in my room, so it may not be as easy as I think. Will report back in how I do.12

Well done,and congratulations Queen Jess.
Christmas fair last night, which bit by bit came to. All I purchased was some home made cake for Mr V and a Christmas card for our Grandson. Not that he cares but I think his Mum would like it. It's a strange one with cards, My kids don't do birthday cards then they surprise me with a random one. Same for Christmas cards. I send very few these days. I looked out my Christmas card stash the other day and found a list of who sent to us last year. I have absolutely no clue whatsoever who Jan and Ian are, neither does Mr V.
I don't know yet how much our stall made for the new community centre fund. We were quite busy, even so I think there would be a lot left as there was masses of stock. My shift finished before the end. Whatever is left that me and my Mum had made went to someones coffee morning today in a different village. What is left from that , bit by bit can have for her mil's Christmas fair.
As I put stuff back under the stairs I condensed 2 boxes of diy stuff into 1 box. Out ,things like shower curtain hooks and a plastic thingy which came with the new fridge which I think is to stop bottles falling over. I have also earmarked some clothes to go. There may be more tomorrow as it is a big push to empty our bedroom as much as we can for the carpet fitters on Monday. Then all reverse Monday night so they can do the spare room and stairs on Tuesday. Wednesday someone is coming to clean the sofas and that is it! House finished.. Two and a half years of renovations.
Total 1418

I hope you are ok @weenancyinAmerica. you don't have time to be ill.
Thanks @Mrs_Salad_Dodger It was a specil edition.Thankyou also for the medal 🥇 That target of £2023 in 2023 was daunting at one time but as I am attuned to saving thriftiness it is a lot easier. Going to do it again next year. Beautiful scarf.
@QueenJess.
Had a lovely evening with vulpix yeaterday and a time out from decluttering. On the way home I was thinking reassigning areas for storage. I have ben lusting after a ling low bookshelf for my landing from the CS but have decided against it. I have enough storage and too much stuff.
Another bag of items of online sales went today. Loving putting the money in the secret holiday savings.I have a way to go yet but will get there no doubt. Hi, I'm still in the tlc carriage, after minor op, managed to sprain my ankle. Has given me time to think really need to get my act together and not spend life moving stuff around. Have managed a few frogs and my cousin came round to help. We had to laugh when I told her to put something in the junk room , and she said 'which one?'
Counting 10 frogs from earlier.
15 clothes in CS bag, and 2 set aside to try and sell. stacks of crockery set aside for dd1 to consider and if not will go to CS, also glassware etc - 2 shelves which are on the get rid of..unless I give inCousin moved everything into corners in the main junk room so takes up much space, and we found 3 big lots of fabrics to go, sorted main cupboard in kitchen and decided where some pictures will go up,
then on my own couple of tags for keys which are linked to a hub so they sound if you need to find them, but I've lost the hub! so out, around 6 lots of small lots of paper out, 2 expired membership cards out, pen, 2 items sold (still to be posted).
Think I posted earlier 2 dining chairs dd1 had left have been picked up, bag of craft stuff together, 3 lots of fabric in rag bag, and 2 email frogs done. Also 6 chipped crockery binned, old cat litter tray, and a few other things I can't quite remember. rounding to 60 for things binned, recycled or actually in charity shop and frogs. will total tomorrow. Most will count when actually out the house!
Made a difference downstairs but alot more to do, really helped having someone agreeing that clothes etc didn't do anything for me.
I have tried to catch up but not as thoroughly as I would like. Decluttered many hours of netflix!
Hugs to those in need x

Good Morning chums well I had a great tip run with one of my DGS Ben to help shift heavy bits. The cupboard under the stairs was decluttered of around 20 tins of paint some never even opened.
Most had been there over 20 odd years as they were from before I lost my late husband in 2003. !
When we got to the tip a lovely chap there sorted through them and the unopened ones he put by for a local charity and the ones half used when to their special paint bin.Quite what they do with them I've no idea but our local council is really good about recycling
There were some electrical things that would go to repair then to the local charity for resale after testing.A couple of chairs as well that had been in my spare room.
My car was full of odds and ends mainly larger stuff.
Looking at my two spare bedrooms now I think most of the junk will be black bagged now for the dustmen. I'm so pleased its gone though, and because our council tip recycle such a lot I know a good deal will not go into landfill.
I do have a lot more books to go to the charity shops locally but I can do them half a dozen at a time. I am hoping to move in the spring so decluttering is essential at the moment as my house and my DDs house will be amalgamated into one larger house .
A lot of stuff will not be needed so I'm slowly getting rid of it. But finding a home for stuff as much as possible. One of my DGS will take my computer desk from my spare room as he needs one, and I don't having got rid of my desktop and only now have a laptop.
The big chair that was by the desk I found a home for as another DGS needed one for his house. Its certainly becoming a bit addictive getting rid of stuff and its just amazing how much stuff I've accumulated in the past 28 years living here. Considering when my late OH and I moved here we had downsized from our previous house and had got rid of such a lot of stuff anyway.
Today will be a shredding day for paperwork as our recycling and bin men come on Tuesday so a good deal of that will be recycled. I just have to see if I can find a home for tools as for some reason I have two electric drills, both work but it's not likely thatI'll ever use them. My late husband had so many tools and gadgets for DIY and I certainly don't do it . I have a feeling somewhere amongst the paper wok upstairs I have a phone number for a charity that recycles tools for the third world. You name it there is probably a tool for it in the cupboard and I'd hate to bin something that could be reused .
I hate to think how much in the way of clothes I have in the wardrobe that never get worn
Ah well onwards and upwards chums
