It was a horrible day weather wise, but the plasterer finished early so we decided to take advantage of my dog being in the kennel and we went into Stratford in London. We ate lunch at Neat Burger, watched a film (horror film - Thanksgiving) and I found the Holland & Barrett advent calendar. I am very pleased with that as you get £170 worth of products for only £45!🥰
There were a few products that I didn't want so they went into a donation bag with a pair of gloves and a snood. I will take it tomorrow as I need to do a couple of errands near the chazzer and I will have one more quick sweep through the house to see if I have anything else to add.2025 GOALS

London_1. Toothache is awful.Hope you are soon healed.
So,the new bedroom carpet is lovely. So much brighter than the old brown one which was down when we bought the house over 10 years ago. All the contents of the room are returned and a few items of clothes ousted as the wardrobes were re filled. The contents of the spare room are now in our room as the lads are back again in the morning to do the bedroom and stairs. I have recycled some patterns from my craft drawers and given the birds some ancient dried apricots found whilst I was making dinner. I am mega busy tomorrow and Wednesday but will hopefully get back on the horse on Thursday.
Just to say Waitrose have all their Christmas crackers at half price until tomorrow. Not usually something that I buy but there has been a request so ...

JackieO - toothache pain is awful. I ended up having to have all my teeth removed they were so bad - dying from underneath. That is the only good part of false teeth - no worries about toothaches.
Nothing like starting your day with a cat starting to throw up on the bed. I had put down a shower curtain where the cat likes to lie down and fortunately that was where he threw up so easy to wipe up and wash off. That was at 5:00 am - not when I had planned to get up. But it gave me an early start on getting ready for going to the library today. We had a breakfast meeting of the Book Sale Committee, then worked in the library where I unloaded a box from my house plus several other boxes including three boxes of cookbooks that were donated. We had a good Board meeting and will be adding at least one more Board member in January.
Quiet after we got home. I needed that as I hadn't been able to do anything on the computer before we left for breakfast.
Eye doctor visit tomorrow to see if I can get my eyes to co-operate with each other. May need to change one lens on the glasses.
We had a very windy day today - with the rope holding the flag breaking at the library so the flags were really flying and about to take off and one sign about 3' x 10' advertising services at the library destroyed by the wind. The wind is supposed to go away and it is supposed to cool down for several days. The weekend is supposed to warm up again. Can't pack any clothes away yet. It is also supposed to rain for a few days this week - but we will believe it when it happens. They were wrong the last time.

6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I had a quick flurry of activity - relocated most of the items covering the dining room table, checked on flour supply, cleaned & polished a silver plate award platter (with the legend ITTT 1988 engraved on it) which I will be donating to CS
I also finished knitting another scarf in feather & fan stitch in a nice bright green
I have just one episode of Crossing Lines left to watch. I had a bowl of hm soup for lunch 🤤 & dinner was home cooked fish’n’chips with peas. Wudupa. Deleted 100 photos from my iPad - down from 557 to 457 🥳

Another lovely cheerleading post daisy_1571 😊
Muddy_Walker, sounds like you had a lovely Saturday night & a well earned restful Sunday 😊 Hope the shopping trip went well today & that you did manage to get some of those rather delicious sounding donuts 🤞
Excellent decluttering ajmoney 👏 Perhaps you can send your friend round to help with my kitchen & loft 😉 as it sounds like he is a good influence when it comes to decluttering 😉 Good luck with the photos & sentimental items 🍀
London_1, sorry to hear about the toothache 😔 Keeping everything crossed that you heal quickly after your appointment 🤞
oceanspirit, pleased to hear that you are finally starting to recover from your post hospital fatigue 😊 Great work decluttering food stocks 👏 Hopefully as you start having more space in the cupboards you will be able to clear the worktops 🤞
QueenJess, I am so chuffed for you 😊 I bet you can hardly wait for the paperwork to be completed & finding out the date set for your departure 😛 Excellent work using up most of your food stock & being able to defrost the freezer 👏 Good luck with the photo sorting 🍀 hopefully you will be able to continue doing this whilst you are working out your notice period 🤞😉 That is one heck of a target 😥 but if anyone can do it I think you can 😊 However, please don’t stress if you don’t quite reach 40,000 🙏
ajmoney, good luck with your decluttering on the fb page 🍀
London_1, yippee to the tooth being gone even if it was expensive 😊 Hopefully you can get a good night’s sleep tonight 🤞
Nice to see you back GrannyKate 👋 I see that you have already made excellent use of your first day of being small people free 👏 Excellent tidying away & decluttering 👏
Excellent work at your Mum’s, Siebrie 👏 Hopefully the information about the Owner’s Society will help resolve the insurance issue 🤞 I must admit to a sneaking admiration for your Mum being able to persuade the bank to close all digital access 😊 Although I do appreciate that it might cause a problem for you in the future 😔
Wednesday2000, you devil you - taking time to spend an afternoon & evening out of the house 😉 It sounds like you had an enjoyable time 😊 although I was a bit surprised at your choice of film 😮 The adventure calendar sounds very MSE 🤩
vulpix, the bedroom carpet sounds beautiful 😍 & hopefully it is beautifully soft underfoot 😊 Well done on managing to find a few items to declutter when repopulating your bedroom 👏 Hopefully you will find more items to declutter when you repopulate the spare room once the new carpet has been fitted 🤞
All caught up again - I really must try harder to keep up to date with the cheerleading 😉
Hope everyone has a restful night’s sleep 😊

Thanks for making me feel so welcome, I came across this group after starting to read @QueenJess diary ( I initially thought @QueenJess numbers on the footer was money she had made from selling lots of items decluttered!), as I have recently started the journey *aim to be mortgage free** I have lots going on in my day to day which includes a long recovery from a few major operations so I do think writing all this down and seeing what I am able to do each day is a great start. I look forward to getting to know the group members better aswell.

Morning All, popping in to say hi before a busy work day! Think I have 6 meetings in the office today 😔 and Dd has flu nasal spray at 4.30pm. Not sure how it's all going to work and might need to rejig.
I was in Manchester at the weekend to.see friends, 3.5 hours drive on Saturday and 4 hours drive to get back on Sunday. I am still recovering from the driving, I am shattered.
I need to get a bit organised and start tidy the house and make room for the tree. A local indoor carboot has started so might give that a go, I find it easier than vinted.
My decluttering total is up to 1,999. Not sure if I will get too 2,500 this year but I love a challenge!13 -
Made a start on the bedroom yesterday evening. A few things in bin or recycled, 4 items to OH to use up and other things put like with like.
On hold to a government department - by the time they answer will have forgotten reason for call.
Have now caught up with the thread.
vulpix congratulations on very near completion of renovations. Perhaps you would pop round and get the ball rolling on mine?
The Million hello and welcome.
Stellata great that the operation is now done - best wishes for a speedy recovery and I hope it’s going well so far.
TC77 sorry to hear about ankle injury on top of recovering from op. Glad cousin was able to help and hope that sitting down decluttering is able to take place.
QueenJess congratulations on the new job. Can feel the stress leaving you and can’t wait to hear that the new place looks after their employees well.

Ocean spirit, would love to come and help, thank you for the invite.
It's done. Lovely bright carpet down. The two blokes who I think were Father and son bickered the whole time about who was the most laid back! It wont take long to put the room back together, only a bed and 2 sets of drawers in there. Oh and a baby high chair with a Teddy bear. Mr V is currently hoovering fluff. I am about to get in the bath, then as my Auntie Eileen used to say I will knock spots off. Lots of errands to do this afternoon and craft club.
Tomorrow the sofas are being cleaned. They were new to us,not filthy but would benefit from a clean. I tried but only managed to make a water mark on the arm.

Thank you vulpix, I messaged the next person this morning and they said they would collect within the hour.
Thanks Mrs SD, I think it makes it worse knowing there could be visitors running up to christmas and I have nowhere else to hide the junk 🤣 I did look at washing the fabric shelves but the cardboard base seems to be sewn in. They still stink so think I'll replace them.
I'm hoping that posting a bit more regularly again might give me the kick I need. Yesterday DD2 had a crystal art set so I had to clear the table for her to use, some boxes to recycling bin.
DS1 did offer to buy us a shed the other day so we could empty the conservatory for Christmas as we were looking at getting one, I think I'd feel bad him buying it though (he only pays £40 a week board, earns more than both of us and only buys a couple of bottles of pop/bars of chocolate for work so I know he's got a LOT stashed away but still doesn't seem 'right'). Will see if he mentions it again.
Right better move and get some cleaning done.
