1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
So much for keeping up with the cheerleading 🥲 I did get dressed for outdoors 🤣 DH took me to the hospital on the motorbike but only to complete what had become a frog 😉 I have finally delivered the bags of biscuits, chocolates & dried fruits to A&E & the ward that DH was on back in March 😔 The intention was to drop off at reception areas but I was thwarted & had to deliver to a nurse on both occasions 🙈 Although I must admit that the smiles were worth seeing 😊 Our intention was to continue on to the sm but it had taken so long that we would have hit traffic so we went straight home, swapped our motorcycle jackets for ordinary coats & got the bus to Canary Wharf. Shopped in M&S & had a coffee, then bus home. Dinner was lasagne & garlic bread. Unfortunately DSis has now put the kibosh on that meal as although she likes it, lasagne no longer likes her ☹️ Wudupa. I also watched another new to me series on iPlayer - Black Snow. I enjoyed it but it could have been 4 not 6 episodes 😉
2377 - 2379 Kitchen recycling, large cardboard box, drinks cans - recycled
2380 - 2381 Kitchen & DSis bedroom detritus binned
Wednesday is a gloriously sunny day & the temperature is already at its maximum of 5C 🙂 It is DH’s birthday today so dinner tonight will be steak with all the trimmings 😊 As is usual the only present from me is extra cuddles throughout the day 😉 The wheelie bin has been emptied & new bin liner in… so at least I have done something today 😉 Straight into cheerleading now as I have my cuppa & the timer is on
weenancy, that sounds very painful 😥 although as you say the silver lining is that there is no more toothache 😉 It sounds like the poor cat is struggling as it seems to be sick every morning 😔 Sounds like a really good Library Board Meeting 🙂 Just curious, do new Board members volunteer or get elected? Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your eyes since the op 😔 Hopefully it can be resolved quickly as I imagine it can be a bit disconcerting or potentially dangerous with your eyes not co-operating with each other 😥 I am keeping everything crossed that the wind dies down & you get the forecast warmer weather 🤞
vulpix, a new career in the making - Renovation Expert 😊 with your first client being oceanspirit 😉 The new carpet in the spare room sounds amazing 🤩 & not only did you get the carpet laid but entertainment was also provided 😂
charlies_tribe, such a shame about the fabric shelves ☹️ Re DS1’s offer to buy a shed, I agree with Siebrie 😊 - and would go on to say that rather than wait for DS1 to offer again, perhaps raise the subject yourself 😉
What an insightful idea Siebrie 😊
Wednesday2000, that was a very busy afternoon & you got a lot done 👏 The ‘wake me up smoothie with espresso’ sounds very interesting 🧐 Hope you enjoyed your dinner out last night & did manage to get an early night 🤞Yippee to the plastering being finished today 🥳
Brie, remember a little bit of ‘stopping the clutter coming in’ is just as beneficial as ‘decluttering’ 🙂 Please don’t be so hard on yourself re the contents of the fridge 🙏 It is a fine balancing act between having too much (with the potential for waste) & having not enough (meaning you have go out & buy bits with the potential to spend too much). I have found that flexible menu planning can be a great help 😉 Fingers crossed that you can get on track especially as you have the kitchen transformation to look forward to 😊 Hopefully the Company will know what the right & left hands are doing & will combine the information you have given them 🤞Shame about the cardigan for your Mum 😔 but I must say that I am very impressed that she manages to make one last for 12 years 🤩 Even with the postage cost, if the new cardigan lasts 12 years that equates to just over 1.3 pence per day 😉 so very, very MSE 😊
Excellent work sorting out financial tasks florianatwobob 👏 So impressed that you got so many completed that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️
QueenJess, I think I would be terrified at that thought too 😱 Excellent work on the digital decluttering 👏 I love the idea that no-one yet knows that you have resigned 😉 I imagine your colleagues are marvelling at how relaxed you are about work & are wondering if you are on some sort of drug 🤣 I see that you have passed the 35,000 items decluttered so a Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 🙂 Also well done on getting everything health related sorted out 👏 That alone makes 2023 an excellent decluttering year 🥳
GrannyKate, such a shame that what should have been a relaxing treat ended up being a nightmare 😔 Excellent decluttering of not only physical items but also various tasks 👏 That trout meal sounds delicious 🤤 & you have another one to look forward to 😊 Thanks for the reminder about out writing Christmas cards as I haven’t even started mine yet 😔 Fingers crossed that DD keeps the candlestick 🤞😉 I am sure it would look very nice on her mantelpiece 😅
TheMillions, a third successful day (8 of 9 again) 👏 How exciting to see how much O/P has been made 😊 & it will be a marvellous incentive to keep going 👏
Wednesday2000, you might have decluttered a lot of money but at least you will see the results every day 👏😊 Fingers crossed that the flooring & painting are completed in a timely manner well in time for Christmas 🤞
QueenJess, I am so pleased to hear that you are having a relaxing & stress free day 😊 whilst still managing to complete an immense amount of digital decluttering 👏 I will pop round later for a slice of hm bread 😉 I also see that now the work situation has been sorted, your mind is so much clearer & you have relaxed enough to plan future projects ☺️
Lovely to see you after all your travels ruby_eskimo 👋 The only place from your list that I have not visited is Buffalo - although it has taken me 40 years to visit rather than a couple of months 😂 Well done on reaching your decluttering target for 2023 👏 I see there are big plans afoot for 2024 & it sounds like you are really enjoying the planning stage 😊 Good luck with the deep clean of your house 🍀
All caught up now 😉 Sending cwtches to everyone & hoping that everyone is managing to stay warm & dry 😊

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger you are welcome to hm bread, but I also have hm pear and chocolate cake if you fancy it with some hm ice cream (well it would have been a waste to just put the oven on for bread 😂).

Wednesday2000 said:I have just decluttered a lot of money for the plastering! The flooring is being done next week and then the painting should be the week after.
I just had a GP appointment and it is quite chilly, but really bright and sunny here.
I saw that Location, Location, Location tonight is about Margate and Broadstairs so I am going to be watching that with interest as that is we were want to move to.Carolbee16 -
So much going on with everyone, well done on the decluttering, and healing vibes to those unwell.
I'm still in the TLC carriage and my oldest who was helping me was in a/e with injured arm and wrist
Trying to maintain the impetus from my cousin as I know she can't come round until maybe the spring.. Sold 3 items and a neighbour has kindly picked up to post for me (with packaging 6) and 2 lots of packaging binned, watching TV slimming down files x 3, old rubber, and 11 pens/pencils out, 2 med appointments rearranged, other paper declutter, sorted out delivery for DD1, joined DD2 for PIP assessment, lots of card added to my craft donation pack, broken plastic wallets binned, and others added to donation pile. 1892 +31 = 1923
Only 100 to go
Slimmed down another 2 folders (abit) and 4 cables out 192915 -
Mrs. S_D - for our Friends Library Board, we just invite interested people to visit a couple of times to see if they really want to be on the Board. And then if they are willing, we hold an official vote to welcome them on. As far as I know, we have never said no to anyone. We used to do a lot more activities and will need to start up inviting more businesses and things to be members, but right now, we are doing fine with money. But we do need more help on the Board - if just to help sort books for the sales.
Didn't make it out yet today. We will probably run our errands we had planned for today after the three of us (Di, G, and me) have our blood tests in the morning. Shouldn't take more than an hour or two for the errands, unless we eat breakfast out.

Remembered someone picked up 4 vintage board games (just the boards). I hoped not to bin them and someone collects printed midcentury things so win/win. Also vintage desk tidy (fab 70s orange but had a chip and isn't a good size) 1934. I find it hard to remember what has gone, which is why I can be quite generous counting sometimes.
Next year def going to have 2024 physical target to get more space in my home !16 -

So, nothing done this afternoon apart from watching a 2 part series called Stonemouth. It was OK. DSis made her signature chocolate coconut cake for DH’s birthday. Dh & I finished the hm soup for lunch. DH zizzed some peelings for worm food. I am off now to prep tonight’s dinner. DH did his usual excellent job of cooking the steaks whilst I sorted everything else. Oven chips, onion rings, mushrooms, tomatoes & peas 🤤 Wudupa DH has started a new soup using a gravy made from the steak juices in the frying pan 🙂 Milkman paid. I have also put the last month of the 1p Savings Challenge into the Terramundi pot.

QueenJess, that sounds delicious 🤤 I will bring some strong blue cheese to accompany the hm bread & would love to try the hm pear & chocolate with hm ice cream. A true feast 😊
I like it carolbee 😊 We might have the start of a new DeclutteringThread friendship 😉
TC77, oh dear 😔 Please invite DD1 to join you in the TLC Carriage 😊 Well done on keeping up the impetus since your cousin’s visit 👏 At the rate you are decluttering, not only will you reach this year’s target but you will be fully prepared for your cousin’s next visit 😊
weenancy, that sounds like a perfect way to recruit new Board members, giving them the opportunity to see what is required before making a commitment 🙂 Fingers crossed that all the blood test results come back with no issues raised 🤞Hope you managed to get your errands done & had enough time for breakfast 😊
More excellent decluttering TC77 👏 only 89 to go 🥳
Off to bed now, so sleep tight everyone & have pleasant dreams about decluttered homes 😉

DC9 - Other
Cleaned and descaled the washing machine and dishwasher
Washing basket emptied, all clothes washed, dried and put away
All household recycling done
Cashed out Topcashback - all money sent to Mort as O/P
My arms were really hurting me today which was from the previous days exercising, I am planning on doing some more stretch exercises to add to my fitness routine. I have been healthily eating since May of this year, and have done really well not eating any sugars (low carb diet), but today I really fancied chocolate which is quite strange considering I have not eaten any for 6 months. Luckily I did not give in so another day without sugar! I think the cold weather is making me feel more hungry than normal.
Last day of the month to make another daily mort O/P, I will tally them up today for the full month and see how much has been achieved.
Have a great Thursday!
