Attacked the top of the wardrobe... phew, what a lot of dust. Recovered a load of hats and rebagged them in new ones.old bags binned. A mini suitcase with a lot of silver plated cutlery which came from my mum, rehoused. lots of old documents from my dad when he was the footpath guru for the parish-binned.
some documents and photos from WW2 which need further investigation-all of my Dad. rehoused for now. Very nostalgic and brought a lump to my throat. Some items I had never seen before.16 -

We have been having terrible winds for a couple of days - had to bring dog in for the night. Winds are gone now and we just have to pick up branches from yard. Too bad we don't have a wood stove or a Kelly Kettle - we'd be set for kindling for the next year. Yesterday went to library while roommate went to Halloween program there. Supposedly our library has a resident ghost that other people have seen, not me. I managed to sort out several boxes of books and found a couple of exciting things to buy for my grandnephew on the battles my Dad was in during World War II. Also found a couple of tea recipes books and a mystery for me. At this rate I should have enough presents for everyone by the beginning of December.
This morning roommate G took out the trash - still surprised by this. Worked on family history for a friend this morning and then did the last of the grocery shopping for the month. Bread, cheese, and potatoes. Roommate G and I have been having a microwaved baked potato for breakfast in the mornings - I have the cheese and butter on top.
Really easy to do - I just plop in a large bowl, stab a couple of times with a fork, and nuke for 6 minutes, take out, add the butter and the cheese, nuke for one more minute. Easier for me than making cereal. I'll be back to family history later as my roommates will be watching the World Series - in 4 different rooms!
Wishing everyone a good week.

Hi all, quick pop in to report 100 emails deleted, ACAS thing progressed, 2 LDFPA and 2 more loads on the maiden and the kitchen recycling bin emptied.
My mind is in overdrive at the moment for some reason. Lots of things whirling around in there so as I know I won't sleep I am going to make a cuppa and write a few lists etc which will help to clear it, once it's written down I rarely forget it and I can refer back to it if I think I have forgotten something iyswim.
So hugs to anybody who would like one

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Dinner was chicken & mushroom risotto cakes (using Panko breadcrumbs) & lettuce + I heated up the lo cheesy pasta. DSis had 4 risotto cakes with lettuce + whilst DH & I had a couple of small risotto cakes & some cheesy pasta + lettuce. Wudupa. I have made & boxed up 12 risotto cakes which are now in the only available space in the garage freezer. So much for emptying the freezers 😔
2231 - 2233 Kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging, drinks cans - recycled

Woken to very heavy rain here. Thankfully decluttered most of the side effects of the covid jab and feeling OK. Can't believe it is 31st October, where has the month gone. Need to be out early today but hope to declutter some things this morning with DD's assistance.
Dinner last night involved using up beef from the freezer, we had beef in gravy, cauliflower cheese, frozen carrots and peas plus roast potatoes. Was delicious, 2 portions for OH and Dd lunch today. Remaining beef, I'll make into a curry. Might take me 2 weeks to run the freezers down as I make food stretch and bulk out with vegetables.
Hope everyone manages to stay dry and warm today.13 -
Used up more food items and threw away some chilli powder past its best. Have 3 open packets of red lentils so will need to get those into the meal plans - started with spicy soup yesterday. A couple of old lists also out. The reading pile has grown recently so will take that to hospital if I don’t manage to get it done this week.
Stormy weather due on Thursday so will cancel my plan for that day as I won’t be able to stand up on my crutches in 65 + mph winds.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅14 -
