The workman is here taking up the flooring and one room is done already. I am upstairs with my dog so she doesn't bark.
I woke up this morning feeling as though I might be coming down with a cold. I don't feel ill, but my nose feels blocked and I feel a bit shivery and chilly. I thought the workman might have left the back door open and that was why I felt so cold. I went down there and the door was closed. The thermometer in the kitchen says 14.8 so the heating is going on for a couple of hours! I am having a cold and flu sachet to try and nip this in the bud. I only bought them recently and I wasn't expecting to need them this quickly.
I went out to the garden to bring in the laundry to dry on the radiators and my husband said the bulky waste has been picked up while I was upstairs. The garden looks relatively tidy now. They said they could come back in a couple of hours to pick up to collect the laminate flooring which was really nice of them.

I spent the weekend doing both dds' hair. Undoing the braids, brushing and putting the hair in twists, then washing and conditioning, brushing again, straightening, adding a bit of fake hair, and braiding again. 6 hours on Saturday for dd1's left side of her hair (the right side was done last weekend); 6 hours for dd2 yesterday, up to 'washing and conditioning', because she had really thin braids (although it was all her own hair, no fake hair added)! We will keep it in twists until Wednesday, then we will brush, put straightening chemical in, wash about 20 times to get the chemical out. Another 4 hours, I think. A lot of work, but it's saving us around €425.Anyway, not much time for decluttering. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5916

Sunday was a dry day - at least after 12:30 which was when I got up 😉 DH tried again to get DSis’s milk but still no luck 😔 3rd scarf is about a third done.
Tried to contact my cousin R again - leaving messages on both her landline & mobile. Finally resorting to getting DH to send a text. Within 10 minutes R called back & we chatted for about 40 minutes 🥳 She has been very busy since I last spoke to her just before she went on holiday - two weeks in Italy with her DH N & their 3 grown up children. At one point R hadn’t wanted to go but ended up having a lovely time. She hadn’t realised just how exhausted she was until she got there because apart from visiting family she spent the rest of the time relaxing in the sunshine - managing to read 5 books 😊 Halfway through the holiday her daughter M went to Florence to meet her boyfriend P who had been visiting his family in Portugal. Romance was definitely in the air as P proposed to M ❤️ R is bursting with joy after such a tough year. On returning home as they were both fully recharged - R & N continued cleaning & tidying her dad’s house & garden finally getting it on the market last week. The good news kept coming - R finally picked up her beagle puppy (Luca) & her younger son is enamoured - not only spending time playing with & walking Luca but also arranging puppy training classes 😊 To cap off the joyful events - R’s older brother who emigrated to Australia earlier in the year turned up on her doorstep …. on her birthday 🥳 He is back for a few weeks due to work - a conference he had organised. Lastly R had just returned from a weekend in Solihull attending a friend’s wedding - she had been on a noisy train when I phoned 😮💨
After chatting to R, I made dinner - veal escalopes in Panko breadcrumbs with mash, peas & sweetcorn 🤤🤤 Wudupa
2182 - 2186 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, magazine, newspaper, cardboard box - recycled
2187 Kitchen detritus binned
Just about to have a quick bath as DH & I are supposed to be going out 😉 Back later to confirm & cheerlead 🤞

weenancyinAmerica said:Yesterday I gave a speech at the Family History Library in an adjoining town. A few of the people were in the room but most were watching on Zoom. Had to stand sideways. It was on Usual and Unusual Sources for African-American Research, and included what I did the years I worked for Alex Haley (on Roots 2 and Queen). I had a great time. Several of them will be coming into the Family History Center where I volunteer later this week.

Change of plans - DH & I will both have a bath today but won’t be going out until tomorrow 😉 Reason being that DH hasn’t got out of bed yet 😅 DH is up & will be having his bath first 😉
Thanks for the compliment Moorviews 😊 It is actually a fairly easy pattern - Row 1 Knit, Row 2 Purl, Row 3 (K2 together) x 3 then (yarn forward K1) x 6 = 18 stitches (repeat) Row 4 Knit. To keep the edges tidy I knit 2 stitches at the beginning & end of each row. Row 3 is 18 stitches x 3 (i.e. 54 stitches)Total stitches per row = 58 Because I knit so loosely this gives me a scarf width of 28.5 cm 😉
Thanks dND 😊
Happy_Kitties, just to put how fast the EDT is going into perspective - we are 300+ pages ahead of last year’s thread at today’s date 🤩 Excellent decluttering 👏 & well done to your DD for being so MSE 👏
GrannyKate, Congratulations on getting “Operation Move Round” kick started 🥳 Excellent decluttering - now over three quarters of the way to your target 👏 so one Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way 😊
Thanks daisy_1571 😊
Thanks leftatthetrafficlights 😊 Oh dear to the hm wine 😬 Although the silver lining is that you will have more demijohns to donate to the CS 😉 Excellent work doing the freezer inventories 👏 worthy of a medal 🏅 - on its way 🙂 Thank you for starting a very interesting conversation about solstice/equinox 🤔 I had a quick look & can see that 7th November is something similar to Samhain - I will have to investigate further 🙂 I especially connected with the ‘new year’ aspect, so thank you again 👏
Floss, are you positive about your UFO 😉 😂
QueenJess, lovely to ‘hear’ that you are sounding more positive about your decluttering 😊 Excellent work on your continuing quest to empty your chest freezer 👏 I love the idea of decluttering “remotely” 😊 especially as it sounds like you parents are finally 😉 listening to you & only bringing items you want when they visit 🥳
daisy_1571, thanks for requesting further information from leftatthetraffic lights 😊
I have caught up one page but my concentration is flagging a bit, so will post & come back later 🤞😉 Forgot to comment on Monday’s weather - currently still dry but the sun has gone in & it has become very overcast 😔

hi guys, I not if I am still in the TLC or not but Im popping myself back there for the rest of the day!!! I have managed to get to work today and have a full clinic so counting that as a success. But am now K-knackered. Thankfully I only have to ring a few clients and sort out tea - which prob means going shopping as its been so long there is very little in the house, oof actually we i think we have some battered fish, so yey i can make a tea with that. Phew that is a relief I can stay in bed for longer!!I have a GP app tomorrow to reveiew the meds Im on for the face pain. It 80% better now which is brilliant, but Im not much enjoying the side effects as ive had to keep inceasing the dosage !! My fingers have started twitching and yesterday my hands started. Its not too bad, but I want the GP to check it out. I need to have a very steady hand to do my job, - I use a scapel!! And when im on my mobile phone I keep clicking on all the wrong pages, which is rather frustrating!! - but a small problem ti have as long as its not going ot get any worse! As for decluttering i did reduce emails by a another 1000 - i cant beleive how many I get. I have also unsubcribed to a few more which should help♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

had received a dozen A4 plastic poster display things from freegle - 3 went to work (food bank), 4 went to my art class. Will decide if I need to keep 1 or 2 for my masterpieces and then the rest are going to be dropped at work head office so they can distribute.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
