Chaotic day after 3pm as second leg of Friday's plane journey to Venice was cancelledcancelled Friday's flight, rebooked flight for tomorrow morning, added extra night in hotel and updated insurance. Also went to high street, got copy of passport and GHIC and acquired euros. Phew. Time to turn off the electricals and turn in as the cab arrives at 3.30am - that's 4 hours, 15 minutes from now.

Unfortunately I think I have done the worst kind of decluttering ever as I think I have been swindled out of some money. The "company" may yet come good but I don't think so. I feel very foolish either way, am sleeping terribly and feel awful. I always thought I would see through a con but maybe not. At some point I will need to accept I am not getting my money back but it is a bitter pill to swallow. I am so angry at myself.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

@ajmoney don't feel guilty, the only ones who should are the swindlers. It happens to so many peopleMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

I think I am most annoyed because I had a concern pretty early and confronted him about it and some how I was still gullible enough to part with some more money. In the grand scheme it isn't a huge amount but it is if you don't have anything to show for it! I have really bad luck with tradespeople so this hasn't helped.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I'm not decluttering this week; too busy with life. I couldn't concentrate on work and had stern words from my (absolutely lovely) boss. I'm taking 2 afternoons off next week.Husband denied having agreed to bringing dd1 to school every Thursday (her school is halfway to one of his places of work). She has cookery lessons and sports on that same day, and an extra hour, so either she cycles 16km one-way in the very dark, with 2 extra bags, or she takes the bus at 7 to be at school before 8.20, or he drives her there at 7.45. She comes back by bus, that's not an issue. Anyway, he decided to work there this morning and work from home this afternoon. Which is a good thing, as dd2 had her last 2 hours cancelled and needs picking up at 13.30.This morning, dd2 (12) told me at 6.45 that it was raining and could I please drive her to school. I did, but it wasn't until we had left the village at 7.45 that I realised that it wasn't raining at all! Cheeky girl!

Excellent work dealing with frogs oceanspirit 👏 & well done on persuading OH that no shopping is required 👏 Hopefully by using up food stocks you will have saved some ££££s 🤞
We won't be going out in any case as he has successfully decluttered his cold to me. Today's meal is in the freezer so all I need to do is cook some rice.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅17 -

Oops, forgot to post yesterday 🙊 too busy knitting & watching TV 😔
Wednesday was overcast & damp. Up late again, 12:15 & wrapped up warm in a snuggly dressing gown rather than getting dressed 😔 DSis had been up a while as her washing had just finished & she had put the td on. The scarf I started knitting yesterday in feather & fan stitch is almost finished. As the pattern is so easy (just 4 rows) I decided to go through my wool stash in our bedroom & pick a few more colours for more scarves. This resulted in me doing a bit more sorting of the wall unit & I now have a 2nd empty cubbyhole 🥳 & I did get dressed 😉 It rained on & off all day so wasn’t quite as chilly. Bolognese sauce from the freezer served with pasta shells 🤤 Wudupa
2162 - 2165 Kitchen recycling, cardboard box, glass jar, drinks cans - recycled
2166 Kitchen detritus binned
Thursday is another damp day, I was up & dressed by 12:02 & have decided to post this then concentrate on a separate cheerleading post. Wish me luck 😉

Decluttering food into our tummies to UU before holiday rather than having to bin. Froze half a loaf of bread so that it doesn't go moldy when we're gone and to save some pennies. +1
Did tip whilst waiting for JFs school appt. +1 dumpy bag of garden waste +1 broken washing basket, +1 cat litter tray hood that blew into our garden. Also +1 for finally getting a piece of wallpaper sample from the diy shop to put behind the glass in my TV unit dooe so that things that are staying but unsightly are hidden from view. Mr Flamingo was surprised you can just go in and take a piece of wallpaper for freeMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.
