Jealous re those buttons @2Scratters. There are some very special ones there.
Thankyou @Dfw38. It is a selfish thing to do really. It means that all the cleaning and stuff will be done for a good time and I can get on with enjoying the summer without the guilt.
Wow @Liverpool_Anne. What a list.
Thankyou @Mrs_Salad_DodgerWhat a lovely thought re Oreo and Sweetie.
Wow @Mrs_Salad_Dodger. You have done such an amazing long cheerleading post. I do believe a 🏅is in order.
So last night I was unable to get off to sleep so I sorted out a pile of used Christmas wrappings that I hadn't sorted out. It is now under the bed in its regular place with the saved gift bags etc. I have pulled out all the bottle bags for a Christmas project in November for MiL church fundraiser.
Today. I spent the whole day with DiL and GS3. DiL has been sick all night and I so I looked after littl'un who wasn't so well himself. Did manage to get him to have a long nap. but in the end had to shake hime awake because he wouldn't rouse and I thought something was badly wrong. EeeekHe hadn't slept all night but .....
Same again tomorrow...

Dfw38 go girl.
Fizz ,I regret going to see my Dad shortly after he died. I wish my last memory of him was different.
My Mum went into a care home today as an emergency for assessment. Very difficult for us both. Tomorrow we go to Nottingham to MIL care home as it is her Birthday, 89
Builders are here,HUGE hole in the sitting room now, I suspect there may have been a range in there originally. Tomorrow they are going to fit a massive hearth stone which the builder took out of a building that was the oldest pub in the town.. My house is a tip,the only place to sit is the bed. The contents of the sitting room are stuffed in the pantry of doom and the spare room. At least all the stress will be over and done with in one go. I will need a rest before bathroom and kitchen are done!
I am going for a very long lie down in the TLC carriage,I don't feel very well.

Hoping to go to SA tomorrow as one of the volunteers is on holiday and a new volunteer can't do this week so will be short of helpers. Our friendship club/lunch club guests are mainly in their 80s so meals are carried to the tables for them. I organise things and the only one who knows/remembers who is vegan/veggie/can't eat chicken/doesn't eat cheese/doesn't eat cabbage etc.
I am up to 182 against aim of 55 for day 10.

@vulpix and @fizz sending you both hugs. I wasn't with my mum when she was in hospital and died and saw her after and found it upsetting and didn't get over it. When my dad was on morphine it was difficult but I stayed with him and saw him very soon after he passed and he was so peaceful that it really helped me and knew he wouldn't have wanted to carry on. I think it is so difficult to know what to do , and no right thing and I felt that none of the family being there my mum did feel she didn't have to keep trying.
Realised how much time I waste sometimes ordering clothes online only to then trek to collect and find I don't like them and return them! Stood at til opened and returned immediately along with another item returned which I'll count, think 51 (and will write no down), 300 emails deleted 54 , unsubscribes from emails, meter readings submitted, and emails sent 57. Physical declutter v slow but at least none in today.19 -
Struggling to declutter my books. I've gone through them twice and chosen a different set each time. Planning to have another go this weekend when I have more time to think about it.2023 Mortgage-Free Wannabe #19: £11,675.68/£13,000

Hi all, welcome to all the new posters, lovely to see you all
@Mrs SD, I hope M continues to recover, hugs
@Vulpix, I love oak, I like most wood but especially oak. I saw Will, (repair shop), on a different tv show demonstrating something to remove water stains and cup rings. Unfortunately I can't remember what it wasbut if it comes back to me I'll let you know

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Another day done 😥 DH was out for 3 hours. M is definitely getting better but is still quite sleepy. After visiting M, DH did a small sm shop. DH & I finished the veggie tostados & I cooked a pork steak, mash & cabbage for DSis. Wudupa. I have finished & sewn up the first ear warmer headband🙂
65 - 67 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, magazine - recycling
68 - 70 Kitchen detritus & a black bin of rubbish from DSis & office detritus - binned
Well done on your persistence EnergyShifter 👏- a full refund & you get to keep the earbuds 😉 Your new system is definitely working for you - over 8 times more stuff out than in 🥳
weenancy, today I read a newspaper for the first time in weeks & there is a half page article with pictures of the flooding & the rather scary info about a sinkhole 😧 I hope your area is safe from flooding & fingers crossed that the weather forecast is wrong 🤞 Please stay safe 🙏 I am crossing everything that the company makes the repairs as promised 🤞 Typical that the pool man turned up when it was raining 😔 Sounds like the husky is revelling in the rain as it probably cools her down 🙂Hopefully roommate will pay you back promptly as I was curious & investigated the prices - very expensive 😣 I had to smile at your comment about the uglier an item was, the more likely it was to be sold 😅 Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering Wednesday2000 👏
Excellent work dealing with the paperwork Keiths_Mum 👏 Our shredding has to go into the rubbish bin - it cannot be recycled as it clogs up the sorting machine 🙁 A great idea from daisy_1571 🙂
Great work oceanspirit 👏 Good luck sticking to your plans 🍀
I believe sea air is very invigorating SuffolkSue if a tad salty 😉
Good idea re shredding, daisy_1571 🙂
Your council sounds like ours, short_bird.
Fizz2015 it is a good job that we have our own generators, although we may have to slow down a little to give the solar panels a chance 😉 Please try not to let your company over work you 🙏 So very sorry to hear about your Nan 🙁
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better ilovetea 🙂 Excellent decluttering especially posting eBay items 👏
Another member of ‘The Button Fan Club’, bit_by_bit 😊 It was a long post, wasn’t it 😥 Thank you for my medal 👏 Good decluttering 👏 I imagine that after a sleepless night & then a day of looking after GS3 you must be exhausted 😩
mfwin2019, 23 minutes is way too short an amount of time to relax in a bath 😉
Sorry to hear about your Mum, vulpix 🙁 a worrying time so am sending lots of hugs your way. Happy birthday to your MiL 🎂 Hopefully the builders will be both efficient & quick as well as cleaning up after themselves 🤞 Enjoy your time in the TLC Carriage - there is a sleeper section 😉
Florenceem, Please take care of your ankle whilst working in the SA café 🙏 Excellent decluttering 👏& still keeping up with your 31 day challenge 👏
TC77, an empathetic post & thank you for sharing your experiences. I agree that it is so difficult to know what to do & I also struggle with what to say. Well done on returning the clothing before taking it home 😉 Great electronic decluttering 👏
Good luck with the book decluttering Bored 🍀
Great decluttering Liverpool_Anne 👏 especially tickling a frog 😉 Thanks for asking after M 😊 she is definitely improving as she is getting bored & a bit grumpy 😉 I saw that programme as well but for the life of me I cannot remember what he did 😔 (I love how tactile real wood is 🙂)
