My other declutter is to get rid of a lot of the stuff on my Netflix list - all those programmes that seemed like a good idea 2 years back that I've got round to watching. Or that I've watched to the final titles abut remain on my list. So many of them are garbage they won't want to be watched again.

Today was my last session with the company that served notice . It was incredibly emotional to say goodbye to some of the people (although 2 of them have said they want to engage me privately which is lovely). Overall it has been a really good experience for me to work with them, they are a lovely company and I've learned a lot and met some really wonderful people there. I cried a few times over the course of the day and I'm fit for nothing tonight - have poured myself a G&T and will make my way to the TLC carriage.
Over lunch time I popped up to the High St to drop the remainder of my stuff to the Charity Shop and while I was there did some (fairly restrained) emotional spending in TK Maxx. Including buying some very convincing fake tulips. I always used to buy myself tulips to cheer myself up but in recent years I have developed allergies which have meant that I can't have flowers in the house. Buying them has made me really happy.
Tasks- Invoices
- Shredding
- Big bag of stuff to Charity Shop
8 & 9 - 2 x bunches of fake flowers

anyone have a dog that attacks the hoover and gave any advice on how to stop it? I don’t hoover often enough due to this and ironically I’m drowning in dog hair when I don’t 😂
Failing physiological issues: Much depends on whether its the object itself that causes the issue, the movement, the noise or its you doing the hoovering. If its now a habit and its the sight of it that causes the excitement - and especially since it appears the hoover coming out is a 'novelty' for doggy - you could try having it sitting in plain view all the time, gradually moving it closer and closer to where doggy walks past every day giving praise to doggy when there's no reaction. Could also feed beside it. Once a static hoover gives no reaction, you need to move it. Push it around whilst switched off as long as you get no reaction. As soon as there's ANY reaction stop. Praise the no reaction. It might be best with 2 people, one playing with or doing the dogs training- stay sit stop down etc, running through all doggy known commands keeping its attention and lots of praise. Once that can be accomplished every time the hoover gets pushed around then you can move on to switching it on. Start with it on but stationary. Same thing, distraction and praise and slowly start with your hand on the handle then small movement. Dont try to go too fast with these steps. You need to get a solid, dependable non reaction every time before moving on.
Depending on the breed and the individual dogs temperament, this all might be accomplished in ten minutes or ten months. I would suggest whilst you are going through these steps you don't have doggy in the house while you or someone does the hoovering as you want to break the habit of seeing it and the excitement starts.
Good luck, hope this helps

Some fab decluttering happening- well done, everyone
I've had a bad health day (feeling better tonight though). OH offered to take me out to get DD a Rubik's cube at lunchtime, I made it downstairs, then felt dizzy and had to return to bed. 2 more weeks of iron to go, then GP will decide what to do. I think the main problem is that, prior to this, I was so healthy, up at 6am, mucking out horses, so much energy, so it's a huge psychological adjustment.
Anyhow, I am determined to plough on, so....
