Hi all, I have spent a lot of time in the garden today. 3 big bags into the garden waste and 80 plastic pots washed and put in a bin bag to be delivered to ex colleague when we meet for tea tomorrow. Not claiming today as they haven't left the house yet
. I did finally get the last load of washing dry
. After tea I had a shower and washed my hair as it was full of bits of plant
, and then I just did some crochet. I am making a scrappy lap blanket for ln who admired the big one I made for OH. It will use up lots of odds and ends of yarn that I can't make anything else with but I can't bring myself to bin
@Vulpix, thank you, I have found some free patterns on ravelry now I know to search for cloud slippers. I am thinking of making some as stocking fillers for my dsis and bil. I have made them something for Christmas for the last 2 years so I will try again this year
. I probably have enough yarn to make them already
I agree about the obesity problem, always taught healthy eating and tried very hard to help parents work on that but I am no example to follow, I just like food too much
I also want to 2nd Mrs SD about taking things easy until they have sorted your health issues. I do agree this getting older game sometimes isn't fun. Hugs.
@short_bird I loved Hill street blues
Tomorrow I need to order some currency for my dsis who has decided she is going to visit dniece after allso that is her 80th birthday present sorted
and I am out for tea so no cooking
. Hopefully a few other things will be done as well.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH is in the garage zizzing up worm food & has now fed the worms + he did a bit more garden tidying 👏 My contribution was to shred 5 newspapers & 3 lots of brown paper packaging. Now have half a large bag of shredding in the shed for worm bedding 🙂 Whilst phoning my bank to check on my accounts, I finally got around to dealing with a financial tadpole that I had allowed to turn into a large frog (through sheer laziness 😔) It is now done - monies transferred & DH has sent a text to my DB to requesting acknowledgement when the monies are received 🥳 I will now spend the next 15 minutes updating my paper accounts 😉 All done & everything checks out 😮💨 Dinner tonight is Chinese being delivered shortly 😉 Wudupa
2120 - 2130 Kitchen & office recycling, cardboard box, cardboard packaging, 5 newspapers, paper packaging, drinks cans - recycled

Muddy_Walker, I hope both you & hubby start to feel a lot better very soon 🤞 No wonder you are both fed up - 3 weeks & counting is a long time to feel ill 😔 Sorry to hear that October is such a rough month to get through 😔 Cwtches to you & your hubby (as long as you don’t object 😉) 🤗
Lovely post daisy_1571 😊
What a busy few days Liverpool_Anne 👏 I hope the funeral on Thursday went well & was a celebration of life 😊 Excellent work on Friday sorting out the ‘very big box’ from the rod 👏 The rod must be almost empty by the sounds of the size of that box 😉 You daredevil 😊 Your abseiling experience sounds absolutely marvellous 🥳 Now I am just wondering what your next adventure will be - a bungee jump or maybe wing-walking 🤔 Fingers crossed that you have time this week to get all the items/bags that you have sorted, out of the house 🤞Your numbers will get a huge boost 👏
flamingo747, that sounds really good - having to hunt for items to declutter 😊 Maintenance decluttering at its finest 🥳
Great work decluttering all the cardboard & paper Siebrie 👏 Sounds like a wonderful weekend - full of joy with the added bonus of “bolstering your energy levels” 😊
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏 40/52 has taken you past three quarters so one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way
Excellent decluttering Crazycatlady2 👏 & how fortuitous that the lady behind you in the CS took the kiddie hangers 🍀 Everything crossed that your current car is sold by Friday 🤞🤞Hope you are enjoying driving your new car 😊 Well done on ‘persuading’ your eldest son to cut the grass 😉
Brie, love it - although I don’t remember ever being that brave when I was young 😉 I waited until I was 46 before doing anything adventurous - 4 bungee jumps - one off a bridge, one off the side of a mountain & the last one off a building - twice 😅
Liverpool_Anne, pleased to hear that you had only a minor reaction to your flu jab 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏 I am so impressed by you saving the set of glasses from the idi*t woman taking them to the tip, that I am awarding you a medal 🏅 If the woman was that clueless about donating to a charity shop I have serious doubts that she would have understood about free sites etc 😔
I have just spotted the time so I am off to bed 🛌 I will try harder to catch up 😉

We had quite the upheaval yesterday afternoon: dd2 (12) is still in her primary school whatsapp group, even though they are all in first year secondary school. The class had 1 major bully, a charismatic girl who uses her charisma for wrong, and she started bullying (again) in the whatsapp group. Everyone followed her, all against my dd2, even to claiming "they were coming for her; they would bring a knife; they were on their way". I'm still in the parents' group and asked the parents to take a look at their child's whatsapp messages. Apparently, most parents give their child a smart phone and never check! It's like giving your 12-year old a bag of money, put them on the plane and say 'have fun in Ibiza; see you in 2 weeks!' Anyway, all parents were shocked, all took their child to account. 1 offered to contact the main bully's school, where they have a fierce anti-bullying officer, and I agreed. I got called this morning that the officer was so shocked by the messages that they suggest reporting it to the police, just to get through to these children and stop it. The officer was not shocked that it originated from this bully; in her 6 weeks at her new school she already has made a name for herself. I had 1 parent and son come to my door for the son to apologize, there were several parents that sent apologies via whatsapp, husband and I and the parent with son went to the bully's house and talked to her. She was crying at the end; I think this is the first time adults actually put the blame directly on her. The primary school always promised us they were on top of it, but we never saw any improvement; it was always us being called in for our dd being difficult and unhappy at school. We're contemplating going to the police; we live in a small village and the parents clearly indicated that they would talk to their child and that would have to be enough. So, hopefully, decluttered: bullying behaviour!

@Siebrie what an awful situation for your DD. Some kids are horrid, and I think the easy access of messaging and social media has made them all much worse! I am not sure what I would do re: police
Decluttered into the charity bag, will count tomorrow when it's gone! Tip run planned for Friday yayAnother big job is a banner for Mr Flamingo's half marathon. This is going to be a lot of painting/drawing, and has to be dry by Friday night
it also means I need to think of something cute or funny to put on it!

@Siebrie that sounds awful. Not feeling well today - got a bit of a sore throat, so I am enjoying lounging around on my first day off from work for 4 weeks. I did reclutter at the supermarket this morning and need to do better working through things first. I put up DS's badges onto the wall and hope to do a bit of tidying up later to keep up with things.Just a couple of things to declare:33,555-33,556 - food cupboard items donated to food bank2025 decluttering: 3,925🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

That is terrible about the bullying!
My husband just took the donation bag to drop off at the charity shop before he gets his flu jab. We had more stuff than we thought to go to the bulky waste as we went through our shed and the garden storage boxes. The man from the council is coming Friday and I hope the quote isn't too expensive as I think the last ones were £30 each. I'm sure we must have arranged at least 5 bulky waste collections since we moved here so this will be the last one for a while!
The weather has changed quite a bit and it is much more autumnal today. I made some root vegetable soup earlier which was delicious and I have enough for the next two days. I need to go to the chiropodist later and it is meant to rain, annoyingly. We are probably going to watch a film tonight when I get back and just relax. We have our workman coming over tomorrow to skim our chimney and he normally gets here early in the morning.

@Siebrie I think I would confirm with the bully's parents what they said they will do, and add the caveat that if this ever happens again with any child, that you will go to the police with screenshots of all the messages. Hopefully that will be enough to put an end to it, especially as it has been brought to the attention of her new school.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

School bullying is awful, there is a young girl at the local high school in her first year who has only last week taken her own life 13yrs old
@Siebrie I'd rather have an unhappy bully than the loss of another lifeActions have consequences. She may sadly, already, be known to the police and you are likely to be another piece of the jigsaw.
Decluttering here is a little mixed and that is an understatement. Saying that I usually manage a measured what comes in something has to go out is definitely off kilter today
DH and I decluttered some mobility equipment back to parents house as I now have a key. Rather a lot has come in and only 1 is a return of an item of ours - the dehumidifier.
3 boxes - 3 carrier bags - 2 shopping bags all loaded with bits of stuffIt is not all staying as some will have to get listed on'tebay some will be donated too. There are again some useful household bits to be used up, this is DH finding stuff - there are no justin's or may's involved in this relocation. I'm just not sure how long we are supposed to live for
