Hi @nannywindow, i am so sorry to hear you have it too. It does seem to be fairly rare, thank goodness. My mum has it to, so i do know a bit about it. Which is why along with good old google I'm sure i've got it! I will be booking a gp app as soon as. I need pain relief and sleep! Not sure I will be able to work with it like this!nannywindow said:Flowerpot, hi. I also have TN and was back and fore the dentist and GP in extreme pain. It was finally diagnosed by a different GP who had only come across it once before. I am now on meds ( carbamazapine ) hope I'm allowed to say that) and will be for ever more. It is extremely painful when it flares up, debilitating in fact and I would suggest going to your GP first. Sending you many hugs as I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone. HTH.

@~FlowerPot~ - I too had trigeminal neuralgia. But mine eventually went away. Not sure why - except one doctor gave me exercises to do. Haven't had any flare-ups since the 1970s. Good luck with yours. I still remember the pain.

Hey all, I’m just reading along as I’ve firmly got my feet up in the TLC carriage. The wisdom tooth extraction went well, but it’s taking a long time to heal and I still can’t chew anything so am getting very thin 😬. Will have to feed myself up on cake and fun things when I can eat again!2025 decluttering: 5,283 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟🌟2025 use up challenge: 416🥉🥈🥇💎🏆Big kitchen declutter challenge 137/1502025 decluttering goals I Use up Challenge: 🥉365 🥈750 🥇1,000 💎2,000 🏆 3,000 👑 8,000 I 🥉12 🥈26 🥇52 💎 100 🏆 250 👑 50014

@FLOWERPOT. I also have had TN and the GP is the best route to deal with it. I got tablets which stopped it more or less immediately. I think it was called Tegretol, but there’s probably something more modern available nowadays. Like Wee Nancy I haven’t had it for some time. I found that cold wet wind blowing on my ear and face would start it off, so I started wearing a warm scarf round my ears, like an old fashioned headscarf to keep it warm. I feel for you as the pain is unbearable. Hopefully you will get some relief soon.
And best wishes to@Vulpix and Mr V- have a great time.16

Sorry to hear about the pain which sounds awful Flowerpot.
Been working and trying to do a few things, managed to leave my shopping behind luckily not alot but some discounted salmon - too much on my mind. Got back quite late to DD2 arriving back from the pub (think they only had one or two drinks as expensive with about 8 friends staying out of the way. Couldn't have my friends at the moment - that's an aspiration to have the house so friends can just 'pop' in luckily not alot but some discounted salmon - too much on my mind. 1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off 3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.) 4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend 5. Don’t put it down, put it away 6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc 7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed I didn’t do any decluttering this afternoon 🙊 DH went to the barbers & is now shorn. Meanwhile I dealt with my mail & then watched a few more episodes of Spooks whilst the focaccia dough was proving. Dinner was linguine in a creamy white sauce with chicken, bacon & peas 😋 Wudupa. The focaccia is now cooked & is cooling. Hope it tastes as good as it looks 🤞 Tomorrow DH & I are going to niece S (in Kent) for an adults only evening to celebrate S’s birthday 😊 We will stay overnight & return home on Sunday. 1923 - 1925 Kitchen recycling, glass jar, drinks cans - recycled 1926 Kitchen detritus binned Thanks for the reminder Wednesday2000 👏 Sort Your Life Out is now set up in my Planner 😮💨 You might not have done any physical decluttering but you did declutter several tasks 👏 Bon voyage vulpix 🚢 hope you & MrV have a wonderful time 😊 I might be cheeky but I am hoping for the odd picture 🙏 nannywindow I now have Sailing as an ear worm 😂 ~FlowerPot~ sounds like you have had a lovely holiday apart from the TN. Hi all, just having my first cuppa and watching the birds in the garden the washing machine is on and the sun is out the washing machine is on and the sun is out . Thursday the weather was yuck but warm and sunny yesterday so in the past couple of days I have done 4 LDFPA. Another handbag gone, given to ln, I have managed to persuade OH to install 1 of the new lamp shades. It did involve me setting up the ladders and being the electricians apprentice . Another handbag gone, given to ln, I have managed to persuade OH to install 1 of the new lamp shades. It did involve me setting up the ladders and being the electricians apprentice . I have cleared some stuff from the landing so the other shade can be fitted. OH has said it will be done today.  I had to put a couple of things into the rod so I grabbed a couple of bags out of there and lots of stuff recycled and binned so consolidated down to 1 bag.  I had a sweep around the house and corralled 14 empty shopping bags that have been folded and put in the car boot ready for the next sm run and I have ordered my meds. .
