Hi everyone
I'm in the TLC carriage with CovidI think there is a special isolation area? I've been ill for 8 days now since coming home from our trip to visit family. No one else has been ill, just me and I'm fed up of it now!
Yesterday I did sort through half a tub of paperwork which I have recycled or shredded and I'll do the rest later. I've also put some stuff in a charity bag which I'll drop off when better
Not properly caught up on news but hugs where needed

Small out: 1 fake plant and its pot. I bought it about 10 years ago when we moved to this house, because it's typically Belgian with shutters, and with us being out of the house during the day, and the shutters closed, all real plants died due to lack of light. During covid lockdown we were home, and the shutters open, and I dared buy a real plant (just 1
) and it survived!

Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.Thats what I keep telling myself :-)12 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday is a damp, drizzly day & only 18C. DSis was on time for her Diabetes check & has also done her washing which is now in the td. DH is up & watching MoroGP practice sessions. I was up at 11:15 & whilst my tea was brewing I put a new bin liner in the wheelie bin 😉 So at least I have done something today 😂 Oh, I did pay the milkman before I went to bed 🙂
Excellent work tackling the top shelf of your wardrobe Liverpool_Anne 👏 Reminds me that I should probably start with the top shelf of my wardrobe when I eventually get around to sorting the wardrobe contents 😉 The wedding dress from my first marriage was donated to a CS more than 25 years ago 😉 If you don’t sell it another option is donating it to Dresses for Angels. Binge watching is my downfall - I become obsessive & I have already picked out the next series - Line of Duty 😂 Re the Woman in the Wall - I have decided to record all the episodes & then binge watch ….. if I am enjoying it.
stellata, sorry to hear that your op won’t be happening for at least 2 months 😔 & even sorrier that you have the stress of putting in a complaint 😞 I just wish I could give you a hug 🤗
Florenceem, another nice idea re Liverpool_Annes Laura Ashley wedding dress 🙂 Fingers crossed that your blood test results are fine 🤞
Siebrie, Well done on tackling the African cooking ingredients & creating space in your pantry 👏 As to the plastic boxes, I would set them aside for a while - inspiration might strike 😉
Brie, I did have to smile at your comment “I aspire to eventually achieving something more in the way of Rowland's style - still trying to learn how to actually draw though which is slowing me down just a tad.....” 🙂 Fingers crossed that you find time to practise 🤞Good luck decluttering the wedding dress 🍀 Hope you are joking about decluttering the OH 😉 although reading your comment about the air fresheners 🤔… 😅
Excellent decluttering of mobile phones Crazycatlady2 👏 DH only recently got rid of a couple of his old phones as they like to hide 🤣
Florenceem, anther lovely rag doll 😍 You might not have kept up with your monthly target BUT I notice that you have passed 10,000 items out so one Gold Star ⭐️ is winging its way to you 👏
Nice to see you nannywindow 👋 Sorry to hear about the issues with your prescription 😔 but pleased to hear that it was eventually sorted out 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏 & after being so busy you are definitely due a holiday 😊 Fingers crossed for some nice weather whilst you are away🤞Not waffling just sharing your life with your fellow declutterati 😊
Blue_Doggy, like you I am wondering who decluttered summer 😔 although I am keeping everything crossed that we have an Indian Summer 🤞🤞🤞 I haven’t succumbed to putting a duvet on the bed yet but I think that might happen soon 😔 Excellent decluttering of books 👏 & good luck with the continuing project 🍀 Please don’t feel guilty about decluttering your parents books - it gives someone else the chance to enjoy reading them 😊 One Gold Star ⭐️ is coming your way 🙂
EnergyShifter, pleased to hear that you are enjoying your days off 😊 & still managing to do some decluttering 👏
Excellent work Fizz2015 - making use of any good weather to get your laundry done 👏 “Ventured to the local library and came away with runner beans, rhubarb and a massive courgette! Surplus from local allotments.” Now that is what I call diversification - books & produce 😅
I have caught up a bit more but now my concentration is wavering 😔 So will post this & find something to do 🤞

I think it's a Belgian thing. I'm Dutch and have travelled to several countries around us, and none of those has shutters like these. I hate them. Apparently, there is a 5% burglary difference, but I don't really care; they are so extremely ugly.

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger thank you for my gold star
I haven't posted numbers since April as my injured hand made typing painful. I finally had an x-ray on Tuesday after first visiting A&E about it 17 months ago. Hmmm, will be interesting to see the results.
I rang my tv/internet provider to cancel a monthly subscription I have for a tv channel I no longer want at £4.99 per month. After 40 mins of telephone trauma going round in circles they managed to sort it for me and amend my contract so that I get it cheaper and actually save almost £10 a month. I was pleased but does anyone else find when talking to these call centre places it always sounds like a raucous party going on in the background (and why wasn't I invited)?
I will post further numbers later but in the meantime:

I haven't done anything regarding decluttering today. I did some laundry, took some dresses to the dry cleaner to be altered and booked a GP phone appointment so I did at least get some things done.
I did look through my wardrobe as I bought some clothes at a charity shop yesterday, but I didn't get rid of anything yet.
I did start eating healthily today as I am hoping to declutter some weight!2025 GOALS

The towns look so forbidding when everyone's shutters are down. I'd hate to be the only person WFH there. But as much as I dislike them I was very glad to have them at one hotel where it was very hot and we had to have the windows open. But it was a Campanile or similar and a lot of partying sport types about so it was nice to have the shutters to keep any intruders out and allow us some sleep. Not that we expected the sporties to intrude but you know how you worry when you're someplace not home. (They were actually fairly well behaved and the partying shut down a bit after 10 - think there must have been an early game the next day)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
