Hello all, I've been super busy again but finally managed to see a GP today as my appointment yesterday was cancelled because the first GP has covid. I'm not sure she knows what the problem is yet, but has given me 2 types of meds to try for a couple of weeks. I had a heck of a nightmare with my scripts, the first was lost and the second contained an item that had been discontinued so I was back and forth between the surgery and the pharmacy a couple of times, good job I had DH to chauffeur me around. Finally got things sorted but it took about 3 hrs 🙄. Kudos to those involved as they all tried their best to sort things.
Recycled this week an empty talc tin, 3 'van magazines and a large cardboard box which contained a new waste water container for our van, the old one is only half the size but we shall hopefully give it away as it's still useable. Lots of small items have been binned, pens, read emails etc and too numerous to itemise. I have also decluttered the contents of the washing basket today and mowed all the lawns yesterday then had the green waste bins emptied. All cardboard packaging from other different items recycled too.
On Friday we shall declutter money from our bank account as it's DGS's 14th birthday, when did he go from a toddler to a strapping almost 6 footer, overnight it seems !
Lots of items have left the house today and gone over the 'van ready for our holiday, can't wait to have 2 weeks away and some R&R ! Sadly all items will be back again soon and be stored over winter 🙁
Sorry for waffling. Happy decluttering to all.

Liking your rag dolls @Florenceem
I’ve just caught up with ten pages of posts. Best wishes to all who are unwell, or have loved ones unwell, and for all hospital procedures due.
What I’d like to know is, Who Has Decluttered Summer?!? It’s jolly cold here, and dark clouds keep coming over. It’s been Hot Water Bottle Nights this week, too.
I’ve been sorting books, have packed up two boxes to go off to Oxfam, which has freed up space in the smallest bedroom, about one shelf in the study, and removed two cardboard boxes and some bubble wrap from the Room Of Doom. There’s about another box worth selected to be gone through: I might possibly read some of them, but possibly not. I find it very hard, as it means getting rid of several “fantasy me’s”, as well as some personal history. Also, since a number of the books were my parents’, I feel bad about getting rid of them, as though I were in some way responsible for looking after them - not that either parent will be back to collect them ever. I really need to shift about ten shelves’ worth from the study, plus I don’t know how many from storage. About ten years ago, I was doing reasonably well selling them “down the river” and “over the bay”, but postage, listing fees, and low values make it not worth while now. I find Ziffit rather choosy, last time I tried it I couldn’t even make up one load.
I have managed to get rid of several piles of newspapers, kept “to catch up with”. Oddly, the world didn’t end because I didn’t read them, so off they went for recycling.I’ve also repurposed a cereal bowl which developed a crack, and is now a kitchen fruit bowl, on its way to becoming potsherds to put in the bottom of flowerpots.
Various bits of food packets/packages used up
usual household and kitchen waste disposed of as appropriate“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

I had another lovely day off today. Met my cousin for lunch in Town. Headed up early so I could visit Westminster Cathedral. I've only ever popped in briefly before and today is the first time I've explored it properly. It is so stunning inside and out - every side chapel is a work of art and the atmosphere inside was beautiful.
I haven't got any arrangements now until Sunday so I will get a chance to take things easy & catch up with some "reality things.

Evening All, had an easier day today, did manage to wash, line dry and put away 4 loads of washing. Counting that as a win.
Ventured to the local library and came away with runner beans, rhubarb and a massive courgette! Surplus from local allotments.
Dd has requested I make her doll a sleeping bag. Have repurposed items from the ragbag, just need to hand sew it all now.12 -
@stellata sorry to hear about the wait and all that's going on , sounds very tough so please be kind to yourself.
Just caught up. Gave dd1 a lift with the bench/ table but having got dehumidifier out didn't take it but took a pencil case, some food and a notebook but something I thought she was keeping apparently was a friend's and not needed so out. Went with dd2 to lunchtime and took bag to cs, only started a couple of days ago, about 10 items with dd2 adding q and another today..item posted , tonight hoovered and emptied some drawers but then put things back as too much out. A few frogs and about to write a new list as breeding faster than I can eat them.
Rl too busy, hoping dd2 will take lots of surplus to uni from first aid/ toiletries and other supplies!

Hi all, well as predicted the bedroom looks like a jumble sale but I got no further than emptying the wardrobe
. I trotted off for my appointment with the chiropodist and got my usual telling off for leaving it too long and not moisturizing enough but he liked that I cut my toenails so beautifully and only wear trainers, apparently the best type of shoe to wear for my feet
. I mentioned that the only problem with them is they are not waterproof and I really needed something like good waterproof walking boots for the winter and might investigate getting some memory foam insoles to go in the ones I have and he said he would make a referral to their orthotic people who will make me some specifically for me. I await the letter
. When I was on my way back to the car I was hailed by a lady parked up who turned out to be a Mum of 2 ex pupils. I must admit it took me a while to connect the face to the children but as the eldest is now 34 and the other 26 it isn't surprising. Anyhow there I was gabbing to her through her open car window and the heavens opened. I was like a drowned rat by the time I got to my car
. I then went to the sm and squelched my way around, got what I needed and a few other things I just decided I wanted
. Home, put it all away and had to change as I was still soaked. OH then arrived home having also been shopping but luckily the only thing we had doubled up on was milk and eccles cakes
. So I put all that away as well. OH then started cooking a massive pan of scouse as a visit to the new Mum is planned so portions will be taken there along with lasagne to be cooked in the next couple of days. That should make some space in the fridge and freezer thank goodness
. We then had coffee over the fence with ln and after tea I just whizzed around throwing various things in the bin and recycling so bathroom bin emptied, lr bin emptied, kitchen bin and recycling emptied. Honestly sometimes I really wonder where it all comes from but I do think I am the only one who seems to know where the bins are
.
@Floss, I will investigate ebay after it has been washed, I can't say it has been kept in pristine condition
Right off to bed now, I must get the wardrobe sorted tomorrow, the bedroom is quite scary right now. Hugs to everyone who would like one.

1189 kitchen bin emptied

1191 lr bin emptied

Take care everyone

3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away

7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday was a mainly sunny day with an occasional strong breeze 🙂 I did 2 loads - LDFPA + washed & dried the last 2 cuddly toys from M - DSis is keeping one & the other is going into CS bag 😊Wrote a shopping list for DH & put everything away as soon as he got home. The soup I made yesterday was delicious 😋 Watched a few more episodes of Spooks + did some knitting. DH made cheesy pasta for dinner. Wudupa.

No problem. It's the political situation (military coup in Niger (that's not where my husband's from nor where he is)) that has messed things up.

Up and had a shower/washed my hair. Off to the hairdresser soon - will get her to damp down my hair as it is clean and I don't want to lose any more hair by having another wash.
Done the ironing and the dishwasher is on.
Storage bag arrived yesterday so my dolls are packed away. Two more dolls to finish then I move on to a new project. I have 2 projects in mind.
It is the funeral today of our soldier - so tragic - fell downstairs on holiday.
Officer wants me at hall at 11 - 4 hours before the thanksgiving service starts - don't know what he wants me to do.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
