@TC77 Thanks. I opted for local anesthetic in the end as I hoped recovery on the other side would be quicker. I had a bit of time and rather than sit and think about it, I finished packing a box for the charity and got it labelled and into DH's room, including tackling DH about the pile of toy cars he had dumped in there that are now on Buy Nothing. I also stacked all the empty boxes in there to go into the loft next (I use them for charity/buy nothing stuff). I then listed a box of books for Ziffit and got that labelled up and into DH's room. The library already looks loads better!32,133-32,156 - kids toys (Buy Nothing)
32,157 - packaging (reused)

Hi all, well the weather was better today so 4 LDFPA, the first load, jeans, was on the line at 9 and I got everything in just before it started raining at 4
. I have looked through 7 bags and a box from the rod, combined with the previous bags they have been consolidated down to 4 bags which I have put like with like etc so even though they have gone back into the rod I am much happier about. Lots of stuff into the bin and recycling so bedroom bin emptied and bedroom recycling emptied. I did find some treasure, £40 in £2 coins plus some other odd coins, some birthday cards that have been put with my other cards to use up, some lens cleaners that I have been looking for as my glasses are always mucky
and some new AAA batteries that were actually on my list of things to buy so win win. I have no idea how long some of these bags have been lurking but I cut up 10 old loyalty cards, some expired in 2000
. Oh I also reconnected another pair of socks, no idea why a single sock was lurking in the rod
I am blaming OH
Right I am off to wash my hands and watch something on the tv, no idea what is on but I am going to just sit
Sorry I have not caught up yet as I wanted to get this posted before I forgot everything and fell asleep, but I will catch up before bed. Hugs to everyone who would like one
1171 - 1174 LDFPA
1175 bedroom bin emptied
1176 bedroom recycling emptied
1177 - 1184 7 bags + box from rod sorted
1185 ood loyalty cards binned
Take care everyone

I find that some art books I just can't wade through - I go for the practical ones (10 steps to draw a cat etc) rather than ones that talk about art. I did start "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" but gave up quite quickly - no patience I guess. But I do need inspiring.....

Ive been thinking and fretting about my last post in case you all think I’m some kind of weirdo.
the pregnancy thing - I think it stems from a very old black and white picture I saw of a lady in the process of giving birth and she was in so much pain it really affected me which is why I avoid pregnant women. I was very young when I saw this picture and I can still see it now.

A lovely sunny day today got me off to a good start. Unfortunately my washing machine broke down - wouldn't pump the water out. Turns out it was easily fixed - 2 colour catchers blocking the filter - but it took up a long time to fix & deal with the soaking wet washing and the water spilling on the floor. Still all sorted now.
Went for a lovely walk this afternoon from Blackheath through Greenwich Park to the River - then back again.
Tasks:
Fixed washing machine problemIN (running total 147)
148. Set of wicker trays (left outside someones house to be taken)
149 - 151 - 3 x Leggings for under dresses during Autumn
OUT (running total 515)
516 & 7 - 2 x books
518. Detritus from behind washing machine (included a wooden spoon!!)

Morning All, busy weekend. The smaller shed got a decluttering and clean. We had a wasp nest which pest control treated a few weeks ago. Everything covered in white powder that stank. Annoyed as I asked if I needed to move anything and was told no. It smelt awful and made you cough. I wore gloves, apron, goggles and a mask. Filled a bin bag, more bits to be recycled and some in car boot pile. Managed to make enough room to have a shelf for camping equipment. Need to tot up my totals.
We managed 2 walks too around a local lake then along the coast path yesterday (about 7 miles). Views were beautiful.12 -
All the best for today, QueenJess.
Fizz2015, I had that with bed bugs last year. They told me they would sort everything for me but they just sprayed everything with a nasty sticky chemical including inside the wardrobe so everything had to be cleaned. I had to bin a lot of things that couldn’t be saved, in particular a special painting done by my niece which is irreplaceable. I did take a photo of it, but seeing it covered in chemical is distressing for me.
It is one of the many reasons I am continuing to get rid of things and limiting what gets brought in.
The spider reappeared in my bedroom in the middle of the night. OH has just got back from a loooong walk.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅14 -
@oceanspirit sorry to hear about your special painting. We need to get rid of stuff too, slowly but surely we will get there. Setting myself a target of 10 items a day for next 2 weeks as I am on leave. Hopefully I beat this target but 10 is reality and achievable.13

Husband is stuck in his motherland for another week... he won't be back until 10 September, missing dd2's first day of secondary school.I've decided the black plastic chest we have in the backyard (sold as 'for cushions', you know the size) needs to go. I didn't agree on the purchase, we don't put cushions in, the lid has blown off several times, it's an eyesore (it's in a focus spot in the garden) and I want to put nice plants in its place. It contains: plastic plant pots, metal frame of our old swimming pool (the pool bit was leaking and thrown out 4 years ago), plastic outside toys for toddlers. Nothing we need to keep. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5914

Morning all - I have three DGCs here this week but one is a teenager and can help. DS1 came over and took me out to lunch whilst decluttering his daughter here. Smaller ones out for day with DS2. Very dull here today.
1198 Ladder liberated from garage sold
1199 Drain cleaner all round house - bathroom sink better but still slow so I will put some cleaner in overnight
1200 Serious major clean of kitchen - I keep admiring it and the garage
1201 Large foil serving trays (2) reused countless times but looking manky now - must have had a good 15 years out of them - recycled
1202 Car dropped off at garage to sort out 'noise'
Right jobs to do.
