Looks like most of my decluttering attempts will be on hold for the next three weeks - at least involving my roommate Di - Spent 6 hours in the Emergency Room with her yesterday. She was complaining that her ankle hurt - and it was all red. She also has been complaining that she can't lift one arm. They took x-rays and it seems she has a sprained ankle - and a dislocated left shoulder! She is now wearing a contraption with 6 parts to hold her arm in place. Just getting her into it this morning was a major effort. She will have it on for 3 weeks. So I will have to concentrate on things in my room and the kitchen. At least I managed to read a book while waiting in the emergency room.
There was a party for the 60th anniversary of the Library building today. We went early and I restocked the Book Nook with three cart loads of books before it started. One of the major features of the party was giving each child a new free book paid for by the Friends. We paid for the party - cake and country Western band included. After 6 hours at the library, we got home, fed the cats and dog, and I managed to get the agenda and last month's minutes typed up for our Friends meeting tomorrow. Usually roommate does the minutes.
Tomorrow will be a long day: getting roommate into contraption, feeding the cats and dog, getting to breakfast with the Friends group (our reward for working the book sale), visiting sister's dog (only two days left, then the person who normally comes home to take the dog out will be home), pick up someone who needs to come to the meeting, back to the library for the Friends meeting, take person home, go back and take dog out again, go by and pick up prescriptions for roommate, grocery shopping, getting gas for car. Home and get the week's trash out. Dog proof the house for Tuesday. Then collapse. The temperature is supposed to be 94F (about 31C). On Tuesday, it is expected to go higher. Then we will have one more really hot day before it goes back down into the mid80s (about 26C) for the rest of the week.
Hope everyone has a chance to get most of what they want to do done this week.

The big spider is back indoors and we can’t find it. OH now regretting not taking it further away.
Lots of ordering new things in the sales yesterday to replace old things worn out ie 20 year old summer pjs which really should have gone into rag bag a couple of years ago plus a few store cupboard items that we have now run out of. I don’t really want the food yet as there isn’t really space to store it, but we do need it if want to avoid eating weird combinations.
Am continuing to use up food stocks and we did a gather up of soaps, lotions and potions yesterday and between us we have enough for around another 6 months.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅15 -

I find that some art books I just can't wade through - I go for the practical ones (10 steps to draw a cat etc) rather than ones that talk about art. I did start "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" but gave up quite quickly - no patience I guess. But I do need inspiring.....

I haven't done anything much this weekend! I just went for a walk in the park yesterday and then watched two horror films, Insidious - Red Door and M3GAN.
I wanted to look around the charity shops this week for winter clothes as I hated how cold I was last winter. I will probably go through my wardrobe afterwards if I add clothes to it.
I need to go through the kitchen cupboards today to tidy up the pet food and the cleaning stuff as it is annoying me every time I open the cupboard. I need to order some groceries and hang up the laundry. Not a very exciting day planned!13 -

Hugs to those with medical or other problems this weekend (apologies as I can never remember who said what and there's been a lot of posts over the last few days). Not much happening here - I've been keeping busy with the kids/baking to avoid thinking about tomorrow (wisdom tooth being removed) which I really don't want to think about.I did manage to get to the pile of stuff to go in the loft and as usual found something as soon as I closed it up, so the pile is reforming! Will try and do some tidying later and start to get to the bottom of why there are always a few bits everywhere that aren't quite tidied away. All dry clothes are being put away promptly now the kids rooms are sorted and also the cupboard for bed stuff/blankets, so this bit of the untidiness has gone. I also need to tackle sorting the library, but don't want to start that before tomorrow and work is about to go mad for a month, so it may have to pend for a while.Otherwise I am trying to make sure things are being used/used up and then only replaced if needed. I am trying to be aware if we don't use things at all and then they will get ejected. I also have one more pair of jeans to fix and I have to have a think about houseplants. I've told DS that for every week he can't seem to tidy his room (because he is overwhelmed with it all), he needs to get rid of 10 things. I haven't got a better solution for that at the moment. I am also trying really hard to get what the kids want/need requested from family for xmas and make sure they don't get too much from us considering they are the only grandkids on both sides. We will also do a purge before xmas of the kids toys closer to the time so they have room for new stuff. In the meantime a few bits and pieces have gone as a result of putting stuff in the loft:32,106-32,119 - kids toys (Buy nothing/charity)
32,120 - plastic duvet bag (binned)
32,121-32,130 - DS tat binned/recycled

@QueenJess good luck with the wisdom tooth. I had sedation and can't remember anything and apparently talked total nonsense for hours after! Dd1 being over 18 was in charge of getting me home.
Been at my dad's. DB and d nephew cutting down hedges and me finding things to bring backsaucepan for dd2 for uni, pictures, a chair , small table and very small drawers for kitchen for me! And a few things I've posted for free/ fleabay.
Have marked some things for tip but couldn't get s slot so that will be next week.14
