@vulpix - Hope Mr. V is doing better. Heart issues are scary. Thank you for the information about the book - I will look into it. Sounds like what I enjoy.
@Happy_Kitties - Take care of yourself. Don't overdo it.13 -
Couldn't find something important last night so motivated me to have a clear up. Realise how much of a muddle. Piles of random paper, old receipts, found summer clothes I've been looking for since June in a drawer which shouldn't have clothes in it. Bought a new to me dress as couldn't find these!
Started this early today and now seen we have Happy Kitties and Mr V in hospital, hope both and other poorlies are on the mend.
Been doing lots of tidying and realise just scraping the surface but pape declutter, sorted one sewing box. Emptied it , mended it , hoovered and repacked.
Going for 1205 now as an estimate. 2 items in cs back , 2 bins full for recycling of papers etc. Dusted and hoovered behind bedroom furniture, half fridge done and other bits and pieces .

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday is another lovely sunny day but I have woken up feeling bleugh - thick head, achy neck & slightly nauseous 🤒 DH has sent my apologies & he will attend the outdoor ‘2nd birthday’ party for one of his great, great nephews alone. I will wrap up warm & drink plenty. He is just loading up the bike with a couple of breakable items that he brought home from M’s flat yesterday & has set off at 11:30. (He also brought back a full bag for life of broken/obsolete electronics (laptops, phones etc) & cables which he will take to the Tip. I am watching the women’s marathon. I didn’t realise that Budapest is so picturesque. I think today I will concentrate on tidying up iPad notes.14:30 Keep nodding off whilst watching the Men’s Decathlon - fortunately I am recording it 😉 The weather has become changeable - rain & a chilly breeze, followed by sunshine & cloud 😔 16:20 just heard the rumble of thunder & it has got very dark 😔 DH got home at about 17:00 - soaked to the skin as he got caught in the thunderstorm about 2 miles from home 😞 Got changed into dry clothes asap. I have had a very lazy day - watched all the finals & cleared down some more programmes from TV planner. We had fish’n’chips delivered. Wudupa

Headed into the shed yesterday which required use of the ‘brave gloves’ the spiders had been busy in a short space of time, Miss Haversham would have been quite impressed. 😉
Rejiggled the contents around and listed 6 chairs on local FB selling sites. Unfortunately rain then stopped play.I also found my embroidery threads and cross referenced those against a chart I want to stitch up. I had some of the colours already ‘in stock’ but have had to order a number of them too. Now I need to do some ‘speed stitching’ to get the chart done in 8 weeks!!Having spent far far too much time on Pinterest I have been inspired with some very clever embroidery. I’m a bit rusty but might spend the next few months getting some stitch practice in and declutter the stash at the same time.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

vulpix said:I am in A&E and have been for several hours. Mr V felt decidedly unwell since yesterday and wasn’t getting any better. He has atrial fibrillation and an infection. He has been proper poorly the past week with a very bad chest. He phoned 111 and they sent an ambulance within 10 minutes. Big love for the NHS. ❤️
weenancy I have a wartime book published by the magazine Farmers Weekly. It is fascinating, tips for making toiletries and cleaning materials and food recipes. They are in the form of a letter to the magazine, many recipes state my grandmother’s recipe. Signed Mrs Bloggs, Apple Tree Farm, Sussex etc. The book is in pieces but so interesting.Love to all VxJust a fly-by visit 😁Wishing Mr V a speedy recovery.I also have a very dilapidated copy of that book somewhere in the storage unit that I'm itching to get my hands on again. It's not an original but from the early 50's I think. But I also have a second copy that was a reprint which is my backup for when the first one becomes totally unusable. Fantastic basic recipes in there and as I said, in the current economic crisis, I can't wait to go through it again.Love to all and hugs and commiserations to all needing them. I hope to be posting some good news soon but at the moment it's 🤞🤞🤞here on the housing front. D❤️Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

Thank you people, you are so kind. The heart issues were caused by pancreatitis and a bonus issue discovered on a CT scan of many cysts on the kidneys which look “odd”. They are investigating if he has a gall stone stuck in a duct causing the pancreatitis as he has had his gallbladder removed. The hospital is about 15 miles away and virtually impossible to park there. Stressful.I am home but in a bit of a pickle. I have a new to me sofa in the back of the car. I will ask my lovely neighbour to help me get it in the house later, it is throwing it down atm. I also have to reverse this behemoth of a car out of our long narrow road.I am still working as if we are still going on the cruise. Even though the doctor said we can’t. He recognised me from when I was in hospital with pancreatitis a few years ago!

Morning Peeps,
hope the weekend finds you in a place where you can do as you please either on TLC (which is where I landed on Friday - brain just could not work so sat and watched simple TV and watched say Yes to the dress and cried happy tears for the Brides to be instead of getting myself really down. Black spot averted. ) or do some small amazing declutter bits.
Each time I am with mother on my duty days I always get satisfaction of moving on at least 1 item. Thursday was a bottle of D*ve moisturiser that had turned to water, goodness how long she had had that item. Contents removed and bottle into recycle bin.
Yesterday and this morning I have updated some budget paperwork for our vehicles. Am also working on son taking control and learning how to budget himself as I encouraged him to open an app based Bank account. I have given him the titles to use on his savings pots and started to send over the money for them. This is likely to take time and him see the results so is WIP.
I am aiming to do some batch cooking today and list some items onto t'bay.
Is it just me with too many lists going on? I'm wondering as I have so much paper to use up I am all over the place with trying to use it up. I have spent time this weekend tidying these up and streamlining what I am writing down. I am sure I have developed ADHD late in life as this is my head at the moment. In RL its just a lot going on and juggling balls, I need to drop a couple and give myself some breathing space.
Sorry for the rant.
Hope those who are not well have a speedy recovery.
Love to all
2 Scratters xx

2Scratters, I love SYTTD but only the Lancashire version, although there is now a new series on Quest with Tan France...
Also, why not use a note book for your lists? If you're like me you will have a choice 😉 I have one for tasks & one for admin jobs, otherwise I don't get anything done.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
