QueenJess OMG I have serious cupboard envy ! I wish mine looked like that but it's only small so it's stuffed to the gunnels, my large cupboard is called the office 😂
I deluttered a huge frog yesterday as I have been trying for months to speak to a GP about the side effects of my thyroid meds and couldn't get past the gestapo receptionist. Anyway finally trying a different tack I have now spoken to my new GP and I am having a 3 month break from the meds to see if they are the cause of my health problems or if it's something else that will need investigation. I also have a f2f appointment next week for another health problem, old age doesn't come on it's own 🙄.
This week we have had the DGC here for a few days so lots of food has left the building via their tummies 🤣 They have now returned home along with their hamsters and my house feels empty. Two now adult sized DGC (12+14) their animals and all their stuff seemed to fill my house. The fridge has been cleaned out and the washing done and line dried.
Today I have decluttered a novel (now read) into my ongoing cs bag, plus the daily detritus has been binned/recycled.
MrsSD glad your DSis stood her ground at the surgery, I had to put my foot down before anyone would listen to me too. It seems those who shout the loudest only get noticed now, sad isn't it ?
Hope everyone is well and out of the TLC carriage.
Take care all

Just a quick post as having a couple of days in TLC carriage after decluttering colonoscopy. I knew what to expect as it the second one this year but all looks good.
1135 Colonoscopy decluttered
1136 DS2 got the ironing board out so I did the few things in my basket (I hate ironing)
Need to go out tomorrow - suspect I won't get much done now until DGCs are back at school. Life is very complicated just now.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

I meant to ask after your sister Mrs SD. What a lovely husband you have.I have read my post from earlier. Auto correct is a menace.I just had to share that I have done 4 loads of washing and they are out on my and my neighbours lines.Vx:12 -
Lovely flowers Mrs SD, what a great hubby.
@QueenJess - what a great cupboard and the blankets sound very cosy.
Trying to keep up with everyone but abit behind.
Large TV storage unit DD1 left behind in June has been collected by someone, a couple of things in the CS bag, 3 frogs, another pen out and some receipts. DD1 agreed to come and stay if I go on holiday in Oct and look after the cats and I promised fridge/freezer of food so that will be good. And she wants a small bench thing I have and maybe I can pass some other things on.
Making a list for tomorrow and the weekend!13 -
Morning all - small people still asleep so I bit the bullet and swallowed a frog whole to start the day.
1137 Complicated letter to HMRC for DS2 - once I got my head round the subject it was written in one go in 15 minutes. he needs to sign it then I can post.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Dropped off cs bag on way to decluttering blood. Added extra 2 tops back in that had been in and taken out so now there is no way back. Think nos now 1102.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Yesterday was a washout both weather wise & decluttering wise 😉 Although I did clean the inside glass of the small oven door 🙂 I did all the prep work for dinner ready to start cooking when DH got home (which he eventually did at 20:05) Veal escalopes in panko breadcrumbs, boiled new potatoes, green bean & carrots 😋 Cleared more programmes from TV planner & also watched the World Athletics Championship. I am a fan of the field events especially the throwing events 😉 Wudupa
1877 - 1881 Kitchen recycling, 2 plastic bottles, drinks cans, cardboard packaging - recycled
1882 - 1883 Kitchen detritus, cellophane wrapping from flowers - binned
Friday is a brighter day - sunny but cool - temperature only 16C at 10:00. DH set off off early to arrive at niece M’s flat between 09:00 & 09:30. I was up & dressed by 09:40. So whilst I am drinking my first cuppa I will try to catch up with the cheerleading 🤞
Excellent work in the cupboard QueenJess 👏 One medal🏅 on its way to add to your growing number of awards 🙂 Good luck with the library 🍀 My flowers are sitting in pride of place on the dining room table 😊
Florenceem, your stash is diminishing daily 🤩
vulpix, hope you are getting plenty of baby cuddling time 😉 I am joining you in the ‘linen cupboard envy’ club 😅 Although you are definitely more organised than I am 😉 You must be so excited that the new kitchen is almost completed 🥳 Fingers crossed that everything is completed by the 30th 🤞 so that you can return from your holiday with no building work outstanding 🙂 It will be so lovely NOT to have to hide in the car 😂 Well done on your weight loss 👏
nannywindow, that did make me smile “my large cupboard is called the office” 😁 Sorry to hear that the receptionist at your doctors surgery has been such a c.. 😔 but very well done on persevering 👏Everything crossed that your f2f appointment goes well & that this is the start of getting your health issues sorted out so that life is more pleasant 🤞 I would make the most of the peace & quiet - use it as an opportunities for some TLC 😊 I agree that it is very sad that people have to kick up a fuss to get seen by a doctor 😔 As an aside, I am reminded that when I did my First Aid training (no longer a First Aider) we were told that if there were multiple casualties we should deal with the quiet ones first Sadly I have no idea what the solution is to the current NHS crisis 😔
GrannyKate, pleased to hear that the colonoscopy went well. Enjoy your time in the TLC Carriage, you deserve it 😊 Sorry to hear that life is complicated 😔 Fingers crossed that your DGCs don’t eat you out of house & home 🤞
vulpix, Thanks for enquiring after my DSis - with the medication & cream the swelling, redness & itching from the mosquito bites has all been sorted 🥳 Great work getting so much washing done 👏 & very kind of your neighbour to let you use their washing line 🥹
TC77, I think many of us have QJ cupboard envy 😅 Excellent decluttering & dealing with frogs 👏 You are getting into your stride now & hopefully DD1 will take more bits & pieces 🤞 It sounds like DD1 is settling into her new flat after the trials & tribulations of finding it 😊
Wow GrannyKate - a frog eaten whole 🤩 That is what I call excellent decluttering 👏 & worthy of a medal 🏅
TC77 your number is 1194 😉
All caught up, so will post & head out to bank cheques & pick up a bit of food shopping for tonight’s dinner 🙂

Mrs SD, thank you, I have to get back into posting regularly and keeping the nos in control and on the upward trajectory!
Just remembered I didn't hang washing up!13 -
Phoned Dr this morning and got an appointment - saw a different GP who was very thorough - weighed me - I am not sure when I was last weighed at the surgery but I have lost 12 kgs - he wants me to have an urgent blood test and stool test. If blood tests show nothing - I need to have tests to find out why I have lost all the weight - it has come off in 6 months and I am eating okay. I am concerned about my hair falling out too.
