Evening. Mrs SD the dog treats probably looked similar to the mushrooms! Yep, snake tongs. When we first moved in here DH had a variety of pets. Over the 20 odd years we've had 5 dogs (still have 4 old dogs) 2 cats, a rabbit (he's almost 7), hamsters, lots of weird and wonderful fish, chipmunks, yellow bellied turtles and when we moved in together DH came with a tarantula, a bearded dragon, a boa and a milk snake! So there's probably lots of strange pet items about.
DH has hoovered and cleaned out the cupboard today so everything can go back in. Going to get some small plastic boxes in the morning so it all stays neat.
We have been saving all the clothes up for Dniece who works in a charity shop. She was at DH PIL earlier so sent him over with 5 bin bags for her (still lots more).
Lots of washing done and dried on the line today but that's about all I've done.
1718-1719 2 bin liners of baby clothes donated (given to DD1 when pregnant, she took what she wanted and tge rest sat in the conservatory)
1720-1735 16 items clothing
1736-1757 1 Pair curtains, 9 sheets, 7 pillowcases, 5 bedding sets

OH emptied a couple of broken plant pots for disposal. They've only been annoying me for 5 years. He has also cleaned a kitchen cupboard that I can't reach far enough into.
Frog I started 10 days ago all approved so it will be fully completed at the beginning of next week.
Tadpole attempted this morning was thwarted by a 'computer says no' response from the organisation. Will have to approach it a different way next week.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅17 -
Cleared dining room table almost, small things in bin spare stationery in stash for the ' bank of things ' in the town centre. Dd2 did some tidying with money exchanged
Ate the other tin of soup that has been lurking. Crown reused and tooth fine until I cleaned teeth tonight. Trusting that's normal.
150 pics deleted off phone this morning

I didn’t do much this afternoon apart from declutter some cash 😉 Realised I didn’t have enough potatoes for tonight’s dinner so went to the local corner shop & bought potatoes, the largest cabbage I have ever seen in a shop, a green pepper & 3 bags of revels as a treat. The vegetables were quite expensive but the quality was so much better than A*da 😉 Dinner was slices of beef warmed through in gravy served with mash & cabbage 😋 Wudupa.
1685 - 1686 Kitchen recycling, newspaper - recycled
1687 Kitchen detritus binned
The rest of the afternoon & evening has been spent clearing down more programmes from my TV Planner - I have managed to increase the available space from 55% to 77% since we got back from Scotland - no wonder I haven’t done much decluttering 😉
Nodded off so will cheerlead tomorrow 😴

Last day at work today - then 12 days off! Feeling in much need of a break although not dead on my feet as is often the case when I'm coming up for a break. I've made virtually no arrangements other than a trip to Stonehenge on Friday. I need to arrange some things but it will also be nice to have a chance to chill out and potter. One of the really useful things my CBT therapist has been working with me on, is to have a balance of Achievement and Pleasure in everyday life.
My " more IN than OUT" phase continues but I'm OK with that - overall I've still let go of over 3 times as many things as I've brought in and its nice having some new clothes as I feel my life has got finally got a little bit bigger again post Covid.
Tasks:0
IN (running total 129)
130. Sports bra (much needed)
131. Pair of sketchers – super comfy
132. Netti pot (I'm not at all sure I will use this but it was £2.50 (BN) in a charity shop and the saline spray which I use regularly is £6-8 a can!)
133. Natural looking Tree decoration (left outside neighbours house for someone to take - put aside for Christmas)
OUT (running total 447)
448. Sleeveless top

Brie
My late neighbour had an UP. She got piddled off with people laughing at her so she wrote "yours" in a felt tip underneath. She was a character and sadly missed. Thought you might like that useless bit of information.

Wednesday is a bright, sunny day with rain not expected until the evening 🤞I managed to get up slightly earlier today - 11:15 😉 Not sure of todays plans but I will drink the cup of tea DH made for me 🙂, cheerlead & cogitate 😉
Florenceem, 40 stockings made, no wonder you are ready to make something different 😉 Hope MrF is still improving 😊
Nice to see you weenancy 👋 Sounds like you are as busy as ever 👏 A great result from the Book Sale 🥳 & it sounds like you already have enough books for next month’s Book Sale 🙂 Sorry to hear about the feral cat & that there is only one left 😔 Just wondering if the decision to spay & neuter will have had unintended consequences e.g. more rats as no predators 😬 Pleased to hear that you are continuing your attempts to get your female roommate to clean 😉 Do you think she might have done the job badly hoping you would give up & continue doing it yourself 🤨 I am still keeping my fingers crossed that she can get a job 🤞Well done on keeping up with the daily decluttering 👏 Sending healing vibes & good wishes that the doctor can sort out the pinched nerve with a bit of physio 🤞 Also hoping that your summer doesn’t get too hot as I have remembered that you don’t have air conditioning in your house 🤞 Enjoy your week & don’t forget to give yourself some TLC 🤗
Muddy_Walker, when’s the party 😂 Joking aside, please take some time for TLC whilst hubby is in Boston 🙏
You are very welcome Brie 😊 Thanks for the ‘platinum stars’ - I searched desperately for an emoji but no joy - so I will accept two & use this emoji ✨ Ooh er missus 😂 Does your young man take his shirt off when the weather is hot 🥵 - very sincere apologies, I was just remembering an old TV advert 🤣Hmm, not too sure about OH 🤨 I would lay a pound to a penny that OH’s car breaks down more 😉
Great decluttering bit_by_bit 👏 Pleased to hear that you enjoyed the festival despite the rain 😊Nothing wrong with buying books from a CS especially if they are to complete a set 😉 Good luck with your knitting 🍀
charlies_tribe, an interesting & eclectic mix of animals 😉 I am waiting with bated breath to hear about the next unusual pet item you find 😊 Well done DH for hoovering & cleaning the cupboard - no chance of spiders when you returned the items you were keeping 😊 Excellent decluttering of clothing & very lucky that your DNiece works in a CS 👏
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 You had a very busy day so you definitely earned your ‘lie down’ 😊
oceanspirit, you have to admire those plant pots - extending their lives for 5 years 😂 Great work dealing with a frog 👏
Great work clearing your dining room table TC77 👏 I see you came to a comprise/agreement with DD2 😊 A very good start on clearing pics off your phone 👏
stellata, so sorry to hear that the hospital tests were ‘inconclusive’ 😔 Hopefully when your surgery is booked you will get more of an explanation than “not routine” I sometimes think that doctors have no appreciation of the worry that certain phrases can cause 😞 Please give yourself some TLC & meanwhile I am sending hugs 🤗
EnergyShifter, hope today is an easy day at work so that you can enjoy ALL your time off 🤞 Sounds like your sessions with the CBT therapist are proving themselves worth their weight in gold 😊 What a lovely phrase “A Balance of Achievement and Pleasure” - thank you for sharing 👏 Great work keeping your In/Out ratio at over 1:3 👏
Florenceem, a busy day for MrF & DGS J 😊 Have you decided on your next project once the fabric order arrives? Fingers crossed that it arrives soon 🤞
All caught up & I have decided to go to Lewisham to drop off the CS bags & do a teeny bit of shopping.

Very tempting to just go on holiday by ourselves
... but I couldn't bring myself to do it....must be going.soft 🤣. I must admit that when dh is in.a strop and dc are being argumentative and their behaviour is less than ideal I do stand and daydream of a tiny cottage by the sea, just me and an animal of my choice (Ziggy obviously!) And imagining a sea view and just.the sound of waves....keeps me going.on the tough days.
A 🐸 started yesterday; calculating gifts for IH TAX took me the best part of 3 hours but that is now calculated. Going to give hmrc a call Friday morning and just check a couple.of queries I have and then I can hopefully get the forms filled out and then that humongous cane toad.the size of a car will be completed. Still lots to do with dad's estate but this is the one I am dreading the most.
Ziggy had.his 2nd set of injections today and is sleeping them off. I took the dc to feed the ducks and walk in the small woods after lunch. Freezer dinner tonight; sainsbobs have their £5 meal deal; fishfingers, chips, peas and c0rnetto for £5 so got that today and we will have that 😊.
Tomorrow I am meeting a friend who is visiting from Australia and.i haven't seen in about 10 years. Looking forward to having lunch but I have a 90 minute drive each way and it involves both the a12 and m25.... my 2 least favourite roads.
