Sorted my mail & updated accounts. Generated 0.5” recycling, 0.5” shredding & a booklet read & recycled.

Then shoes & coat on & out of the door before 14:00. Met one of the young ladies (from rented house next door) at the bus stop with her boyfriend & her Mum (over from Spain). They were heading off to her Graduation. I banked my Premium Bond cheques, exchanged my paper Scottish £10 note & got some cash. Nipped into M+S for a lasagne & garlic bread, posted my competitions entry form & then waited 10 minutes for a bus home. However, I was back indoors by 15:00 😊 & DH made me a coffee whilst I updated my accounts & put away the shopping 😊 Whilst I was out, DH zizzed the kitchen vegetable scraps & fed the worms 👏 Now I am going to watch a bit of TV &/or do some reading 😅Although it is very dark outside it hasn’t rained yet 😉
Great decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Fingers crossed the DGCs don’t tire you out too much 🤞

I've sorted a box of books for Ziffit and gathered 2 bags of books for the CS, along with a bag of surplus clothes and a basket of assorted unwanted stuff. They will leave home tomorrow while I'm out.
I've also managed to declutter my unused BBQ & its bags of charcoal & tools to my brother who is getting rid of his gas BBQ on cost grounds (£60 for a bottle of gas 😳).

My 12 day break from work started today. 🎉 DS headed off to a Christian Festival this morning . The frustration of watching him him pack was too much so I stepped in. My reward - he got rid of loads of old clothes that he hasn't worn for years in the process of packing. It's nice to see some stuff going out again....
I had a lovely pottering kind of day. Off to Stonehenge tomorrow!

Of course you can come Queenjess 😍.
Sorry to hear you had a rotten time in the shop with system failures and rude staff MrsSD.
Hope all goes well Stellata.
IH tax is a right royal.pain in the rump but at least it will be finished sooner rather than later....I am paranoid I am going to mess.it up though 😧
Lunch was lovely and the roads were not too bad (I found a different way to get there so missed my most hated roads) must have been your positive wishes MrsSD!
Seeing my friend after 10 years was lovely, I have truly missed seeing her in person and it was not easy to say goodbye again 😢. We hit the shops after lunch and I treated myself to a new handbag at a cl@rks outlet as 2nd DD broke the strap on my one about 6 months ago and it was the only one I had. I picked all 3 dc a new t shirt each in another outlet store for their holiday and a new t shirt for dh as part of a birthday present. Also managed to get some 'calm balm' from b0dy sh0p for eldest dd to hopefully help her relax from her anxiety a bit. Having a night of watching lucifer and then tomorrow need to prep for my hysteroscopy on Saturday. Won't be sorry to get this health problem kicked up the butt and on its way.2024 decluttering Campaign

Excellent decluttering Floss especially donating the unused BBQ to your DB 👏 I fell off the sofa reading about the cost of a bottle of gas 😱
Excellent decluttering EnergyShifter 👏 Sometimes it pays to intervene 😉 Enjoy Stonehenge 😊
Dfw38, I had always thought better of MrS 😔 I did forget to mention that I had bypassed M+S to go into MrS 😔 When I was venting to MrSD I found out that if he had a choice he would shop at M+S 🤔Not sure our finances would cope & the choice of products is far less 😉 Very pleased to hear that you had a less fraught journey than you had imagined 😊 Sounds like you had a great time with your friend 😊 & I am crossing everything that it will not be another 10 years before you see each other again 🤞Hope you enjoyed binge watching Lucifer 😉
Wishing everyone a good night 😽 See you all tomorrow.

Good morning everyone. A very dull Friday - cloudy but not forecast to rain 😉 DH had a restless night, he couldn’t sleep for worrying about being late for his hospital appointment at 10:00 - needing to leave at 09:15 at the very latest 😔 Of course he then fell into a deep sleep about 07:30. Fortunately I woke at 08:25 needing the bathroom so woke him up & made him a coffee whilst he was getting dressed. He is now fully awake & will be setting off soon. Lovely story from last night/early this morning - after I had posted, I went out the front door to have a ciggie & found the other young lady from next door on her doorstep looking a bit upset. I enquired after her & she had forgotten her keys & couldn’t get in + ALL the housemates were fast asleep way earlier than usual 😔 I asked if the back door would be unlocked & she was unsure 🫤 I invited her through the house, she climbed over the fence, ran down the garden & I heard the sigh of relief 😮💨 as she opened the back door 😊 She came back to thank me & with another sigh of relief went indoors 😊 DH left at 09:05 so should have plenty of time to get to the hospital provided there is not too much traffic for the bus to get through 🤞 I will drink my tea & then go back to bed as I am feeling a bit peaky 😔
Wishing everyone a good day & will see you all later 😉
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Wishing you a lovely holiday & hope the weather is fine 😊 See you in a week 👋

I think seagulls had pecked a bag of shredding open on our driveway - Mr F tidied it up.
Popped to SA - everyone very subdued - we have just lost a long standing and very loved member.

Hope MrSD gets on OK @ the doctors.
Had a morning in town running errands and combined it with a trip to our art gallery and 2 museums (they are all very small and all free!) the dcs loved the bus ride there and back.and that was all we spent today - bus fair 🤑.
We settled down and watched a film on n€tflix and I have just got off the phone to hmrc about IH tax and had better news than I expected
.... as it is below the threshold and is considered an excepted estate I don't have to fill.out the 16 page form and we can apply straight for letters of administration 😀.
