Breezy day here.
We walked into town - Mr F using his stick - slow compared to my usual dashing about speed. Wanted primer and undercoat for the new stairs rails but Wilko only had undercoat.
DGs J is here tomorrow - I will get him to either paint both sides of the garage door or one side of garage door and one side of kitchen door - he can decide.
Mental health visit went well - she is coming back next month. She asked if Mr F needed organised activities to get him out of the house but realised that we will be out and about together a lot.
Rollator has arrived - not unboxed it yet.
Tried to clean my outside upstairs windows but the extending pole is too short so ordered another set to lengthen it.
Gave the outside PVC a quick clean - Seagulls have used it as a toilet again.
Cleaned some of the downstairs inside windows.
Been working on making some cards.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Accounts done, entry form for magazine competitions completed. DH has nipped out to local sm to pick up a few bits. The sun came out so I used my magic tool & cleared the front path of weeds - AGAIN 😔 My inside task was to make guacamole - all done, taste tested & very yummy + wudupa everything used. Sausages are defrosting for tonight’s dinner. I am about to clear down another programme from planner whilst making a start on thinning out iPad Notes.
Siebrie, we should definitely celebrate every victory 👏
stellata, hope you had a lovely time 😊 even though you are exhausted from the driving 😔 Fingers crossed that the hospital test results are 👍 Well done on your sale - win, win - one less item & ££ in your purse 🥳
Florenceem, I must admit to feeling rather relieved that MrF’s current walking pace slowed you down a bit 😮💨 A pity you couldn’t get both lots of paint 😔 I can see that DGS J is going to be busy tomorrow whichever painting job he chooses 😉 Very pleased to hear that the mental health visit went well & that no organised activities are required 👏 I seem to remember that the SA have various activities in the pipeline for when MrF is fit 🥹 I see that having MrF home hasn’t slowed you down on your mission to clean & declutter tasks 😉 although I am rather glad to see that you have slotted in some ‘you’ time making cards 👏 I imagine that once the rollator is unboxed MrF will be even keener to get out & about as he will always have somewhere to sit if he gets a bit tired 😅
Hope everyone is having a good day 😊

Thank you Mrs SD yes it was a brilliant weekend and I really enjoyed it. I shouldn't moan about the driving either as my "new" car makes a big difference but I used to do that journey in one go, now I have to stop twice for coffee and a loo break.Magnolia Stellata13

Up early, did the normal stuff - feed pets, played with dog, did e-mail (only 8 unread!), checked FaceBook page to see what relatives were up to - both nephews and families traveling - one to Hawaii the other to Arizona. Had cup of tea. Did two loads of laundry, dried and put away today. Used the tumbler drier, but realized we are probably the only house in entire neighborhood with a clothesline in the backyard. Longest occupier in the entire neighborhood - only one of the original families still here. If the clothesline is put in the way my father put in the swing set where we used to live, it isn't going anywhere - he put the posts for that in 6 ft. of cement. Put it in in 1954 - and it is still there. Used real heavy-duty pipe to put it up. He wanted to be able to attach one end of the hammock to the clothesline, so it is probably pretty deep in the ground also. As I was redoing the bedding, I gave thanks for my mother buying the best mattress out there at the time for me - she bought it in 1963! Worn a little on the ribbing on one side, but otherwise in great shape. My parents both liked to think long-term. We moved into this house in 1959 and I am still here.
Frustrated by current roommates of course - 1 is an autistic hoarder, one has border-line personality disorder and likes to dress-up when going places - very strangely, usually a character in a movie, 1 is an alcoholic, who has been sober now for a couple of months after he finally realized his drinking was going to kill him, and the other has several different mental issues. But none of them can afford to move anywhere here in Southern California. Even group homes are too expensive. I have considered selling this house, having 5 tiny houses built on a lot and having each one of us live on our own - so I wouldn't to deal with the mess, but not sure how it would work. Need lots of bookshelves ( a used book-mobile?) for me. Just get so tired thinking about all the cleaning that still needs to be done.
Will be getting rid of about 10 boxes of stuff by end of week as taking boxes of books to bookstore, two sisters, and for sister to give to her children when they come to visit. And taking books into the library for the Books to the Jail project next Monday. One big box of stuff is going to a nursing home nearby also, including things other than books.
Probably need a permanent seat in the TLC coach at this time.

I'm on my own for a few days as DH is away with work, so the main aim is just to get everyone fed and keep alive. No point in aiming too high
Somehow today I managed to drop everyone off, pick every up again, drop DS off at Beavers and then pick him up again and get DD to bed promptly. Dinner almost ready now for me and DS then after he is in bed I would like to collapse in a chair.
Not time for much today, although I did declutter a huge amount of work. I did discover another wish list/favourite list for a website and so I decluttered most of those items as I've never taken anything out of the list! The tiny decluttering task for today per the website I shared was home decor. I've actually decluttered most of it anyway, but I did find some candles I've been thinking about getting rid of for ages and a couple of fake plants I don't really like. Not enjoying selling online. It's such a time suck and when you get those annoying people who like to claim all sorts I just want to throw in the towel and not bother. It's why I don't normally bother with low value items. I have a big pile of stuff in the sell box, but to be honest I just don't want to deal with it. I will try and sell where it is DH's and DS's stuff, but I'm thinking the rest I might just give away and remember how annoying it is to sell things so I don't buy things I don't want in future. The whole thing is stressing me out and I just don't need it. Yes, I could do with the cash, but I'm not going to go into debt, so it's not essential.Lots of tidying to do and I may do a 5 min sort out in the library before bed later to see if I can make a dent into the mess and possibly bag up one lot of charity to move to DH's room. The rest of the house is pretty reasonable at the moment bar DD's room, but she's asleep in it right now!Digital:

Very very busy workwise today but I did manage to walk dog1 at lunchtime. It’s been too hot recently.
after work I spent about 40 mins deadheading which I always find peaceful.Dog2 is curled up by me - I’ve been quite low today and can’t put my finger on why. Perhaps it’s the cleaner tomorrow? Such a silly thing to get stressed over though…⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Got back from my hols over a week ago and only just caught up with the thread. Lots of sorting things out now that OH is here full time. Only thing decluttered so far is weeds and some admin. Nothing else actually out.
Been working out meal plans around the store cupboard and what came in the vegbox. We need to eat lots of spices and tinned beans. We also have large amounts of herbal teabags - we both use them so it’s not a problem, just that they are taking up a lot of space and it will take time.
Will have to sort out saucepan cupboard and shed at some point to make the use of both more efficient. Looking forward to getting stuck in to clearing out the last of my boxes too as they are very much in the way now.

Hi all, yesterday was a total write off as far as decluttering goes. OH spent most of the day on the lap top so I didn't get a chance to check for car insurance or see if anyone wants to buy any of the books though I did parcel up the books for my sister and did a small amount of ironing. Today I went to the sm and posted the parcel. When I went out it was lashing down but when I came out of the sm the sun was cracking the flags
. I picked up coffee and headed home and managed to get 2 loads of washing done, 1 dried, folded and put away but the 2nd has had to go on the maiden to finish drying. Thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow so couldn't be left out. The kitchen bin was emptied. Spent a while chatting with ln over the fence and OH opened a bottle of prosecco as all the gin has gone
. Ln's daughter called round to help them finish it so another bottle decluttered though I can take no credit for it as I don't really drink
. Apart from that all I have done is crochet but I am working my way through the yarn
@Florenceem so glad things are going well now Mr F is home
Off to bed now, I am quite tired today for no particular reason

Take care everyone
