I just started watching Jack Ryan from the beginning and got 5 episodes in before DH said he wants to watch it so got to wait for him to catch up to continue together…told him to hurry up 😂17

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday started quite bright - sunny & a bit breezy but has now become overcast & very breezy 😞 DH never received an appointment time at the surgery but headed off about 15:15 🤞 I have done nothing apart from reading a magazine & putting last night’s corn cob los into the wormeries together with a handful of shredding - although I have taken the vacuum cleaner out of the under-stairs cupboard 😂 First though I have decided to clear down some programmes from my TV planner whilst clearing down some of my digital clutter - mainly bookmarks 😉 I am going to try to be brutal 🤞
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, you have had a busy week 🙂 I beg to differ about not decluttering anything 😉 as you have decluttered a couple of medical/dental appointments whilst also ticking the TLC box 👏Good luck finding the opportunity to not only fill the suitcase but also to spirit it away from the cats 🍀
DH has just phoned (15:50) - the doctor had forgotten to book an appointment for DH 😔 DH was quite sanguine as the receptionist apologised & booked an appointment for Tuesday afternoon 🙂
nannywindow, thanks for the kind thoughts re MrSD 😊 Please can I ask you to cross your fingers about 15:45 on Tuesday 😉
Liverpool_Anne, seems a bit odd not to give you your jab especially as OH was given theirs - surely it would be better to have the whole household covered 🤔 I would be annoyed too 😠 Hope you have had a more successful day today 🤞
Excellent decluttering Muddy_Walker 👏 even if it was to keep your cleaner happy 😅 I agree with Floss 😉
Well said Floss 😊 although I do think that I would probably be the same as Muddy_Walker if I ever employed a cleaner 😂 Enjoy your time in the TLC Carriage Floss, you have definitely earned it 😊Don’t forget you can also have a nap in the sleep pods if the TLC Carriage is too noisy 😉 Hope next weeks radiotherapy doesn’t leave you too exhausted 🤞
Muddy_Walker, hopefully your cleaner won’t tidy away your meds basket 🤞😉 I share your bewilderment at why a new hose has so many attachments 🙄 Although Murphy’s Law does state that in a month’s time you will need at least one of the ‘extra’ attachments 🤣
Florenceem, I find that there is almost nothing to beat a cuddle in bed 🤗 From what you are saying it does sound like DD K has put various plans in place to assist her in coping with her ongoing treatment. She will be in my thoughts. Strength & courage to you, DD K & her family.
Wednesday2000, hopefully with the new measures in place your cat will stop redecorating your living room 🤞 Re the sofa, after all your hard work getting it clean again it might be an idea to use a throw 🙂 I have throws on both my sofas - although sadly, they don’t stop the dust accumulating 😔 but do stop crumbs etc 🙂Crazycatlady2, you could always rewatch the first 5 episodes 😅
It has taken me an age to write this - I forgot to put the timer on 😔
See everyone later 👋

No decluttering apart from 2 loads of washing and had to rescue a duvet from the neighbours garden. Wind has picked up here.
Decluttered money on theatre tickets today and saw Greatest Days Musical (not the cinema one). Really enjoyed it, feel good factor and a storyline too. 😀
Tomorrow nothing planned so with be back on the decluttering and chores.

Absolutely MrsSD, you are now penned in on my calendar. I can also cross my eyes if that will help but it's not a pretty sight !
I have stripped the bed, remade it and cleaned upstairs this morning then washed the bedding and a clothes load which have all dried outside 👏 I decided to trim my front side hedge so all the cuttings are now in the green waste bin. I have also decluttered an oil collection container, a car battery (for scrappy man ) and some old log roll too. I am hoping to take everything I have collected to the tip on Thurs weather permitting ( and DH is up to to helping as he still isn't well after his oncology injection from last Tues.)
Florenceem I will be thinking of you and your family.
Wednesday poor little cat, I hope she is ok. Oh! and spend your sofa money wisely 😁 No one who sits on my sofa uses change anymore.
Floss hope the radiotherapy goes well and you don't feel too tired. I'll come and visit you in the TLC carriage, perhaps you'd like a cuppa ?
Love and hugs to all

I've decluttered stuff into the composter, planted out 3 lavender plants but have a list of things to do indoors and the garden.
I really need to get back on top of decluttering as it's beginning to creep back again.Decluttering campaign 2023

Hi all, better day today. I took myself out to find a new doormat. I remembered to take the measurements with me
. I tried several chandler type of shops, a carpet shop, and a couple of diy sort of shops. I found lots of lovely doormats that were either a couple of cms too small or absolutely massive. Eventually tracked down a medium sized one that is bigger than I wanted ideally but will do the job. I also went and had a look at some lap tops. Although I have used computers for years I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination so I found myself looking at all the specs and trying to work out exactly why some were about £300 while others were about £1300. Blowed if I know to be honest, too many numbers and letters that mean nothing to me
. I didn't buy one but it gave me an idea of what is out there. I will maybe try to take someone with me who knows a bit more about it than me
.
When I got home I washed the rubber mat and that is drying in the bath. I will put it back tomorrow along with the new mat. Then of course I had to give the bath a scrub. A perfect example of how you get distracted from one job on to a completely different job
. Then I sorted my post which had arrived while I was out. Car insurance is due so I will search for that tomorrow and the breast screening results are find
. The kitchen recycling was emptied and the lr bin. I have a pile of books next to the couch that I had sorted out and offered to my sister who had emailed me which ones she wanted but I had forgotten so I sat down to sort that out. Luckily I had filed her email so found it easily and made a note of the books. I will sort some packaging for them tomorrow as I am not sure when I will be visiting and try to get them in the post on Monday. The rest I will try on the book buying sites first to see if I can recoup a few pennies then the rest can go onto the various free tables etc. I have spotted around. That is the plan anyway
. While my emails were open I had a session of deleting and managed to file about 40 and permanently deleted 500.
. After that I just did some crochet
@Mrs SD OH was quite rough today after the jab, was so cold at one point there was talk of putting the heating on, I found a blanket pretty quickso I am sort of relieved now I didn't get it as I have been quite rough after the last 2.
@Floss, will be thinking of you next Tuesday, hugs
Likewise Mr SD for Tuesday
@Muddy_Walker, maybe when you get to know your cleaner she can help you with some of the cupboard sorting, meanwhile I don't think she will worry as I am sure she understands that the reason she is being employed is because you don't have enough time to do everything. Any cleaner I employed would probably open a cupboard door and shut it again quickly before the avalanche buried her
Off to bed now so hugs to anybody who would like one
910 new doormat bought - task
911 post sorted
912 kitchen recycling emptied
913 lr bin emptied
914 - 918 5 x 100 emails permanently deleted
Take care everyone
