1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
12:12 DH just phoned - new CPAP machine collected - that was quick 🥳 & they are now on their way home. I started putting away the laundered clothes BUT instead decided to sort out DH’s wardrobe & drawers before putting clothes away 😥 DH is in the habit of getting an item of clothing out, changing his mind & scrunching it up before shoving it back in the drawer or on the shelf 😖 I started with the hanging section which took all of 5 minutes. Only 3 of the 5 shelves in the wardrobe needed sorting so I put everything on the bed. This was the point at which DH & DSis arrived back (12:45) - so traffic must have been OK 👍 Coats off & into the garden where we have harvested some potatoes & radishes - which are still to be washed 😉 I made us all a hot drink & returned to the task in hand. Everything in DH’s wardrobe is now neat & tidy including the top shelf above the hanging space & the bottom of the wardrobe 🥳 Next task was DH’s three (of 5) drawers in the CoD. All done & have reminded DH of where everything is 🤣 DH has been very amenable as he agreed to get rid of 9 old, ill fitting underpants & 7 pairs of socks to rag bag + 2 pairs of socks - new but unloved 😉 for the CS bag 👏 I have decided to count everything for CS & have added “CS drop off on Monday” as an urgent task 😉
1560 - 1575 Items to rag bag for CS
1576 - 1584 Cuddly toys, socks, rag bag & a bag of packaging - CS
Neighbour I just called round & gave me a lovely lettuce 🥬 - she has been eating down her fridge & freezer prior to going on holiday to Turkey but couldn’t quite manage a whole lettuce 😅 DH has just had a call from the doctor & has an appointment for tomorrow. His ‘scare’ back in March has caused him to be a bit more aware of other parts of his anatomy so had mentioned it & is now going in for an examination. Everything crossed that he is OK 🤞🙏
Wednesday2000, not quite sure I would have used “surprise” more like “bombshell” 🤢 How horrible for the restaurants - not quite sure what there is to steal as I doubt that money is kept on the premises 😠 Fingers crossed that you got your call from the GP 🤞
Thanks QueenJess 👏 Yippee to your lightbulb moment 🥳 & now you need to devote time every day to some TLC 😉 You & my DH would get on marvellously - he also likes picking up interesting & unusual snippets of information 😊 I love your sideboard - so clear 🥳 Great decluttering & well done on setting up your email filters 👏
I disappeared off about 19:00 to make dinner - fried pork steaks, mash & corn on the cob 😋Wudupa.
DH’s motorbike trousers were almost dry but had to be brought in due to the rain
1585 - 1587 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, glass jar - recycled
1588 Kitchen detritus binned
Florenceem, such good news that MrF was home earlier than expected 😊 but so very sorry to hear about your DD 😢 Hugs & strength to you all.
EnergyShifter, pleased to hear that you recovered from your migraine 😊 What a great find 🥳 & well done on your perseverance getting the hallway cabinet home 👏 What a kind man 🙂 Great news about the CBT 😊 & well done on the decluttering 👏
Excellent work helping your Dad nannywindow 👏 & combined with your own excellent decluttering, I am pleased to award you a Gold Star ⭐️ Keep up the good work 😊 By the way, not a long post at all 😉

Morning all
@Florenceem - so sorry to hear about your DD. I hope Mr F has had a settled night back at home.
I have decluttered a very busy week but nothing else! I stayed up to stupid o'clock on Tuesday to finish some self employment work; I need to submit my invoice now. I had a few meetings for my FT job, one for my PT job, went to the dentist and had braces fitted on my lower teeth (I'm quite old but have always hated my crooked teeth!) and went to see a consultant at hospital about my bad back - he thinks its muscular and can be managed with physio, osteo, better work station set up etc but suggested an MRI to be sure. I was shattered last night so went for a walk then went to bed early.
I've been slowly putting things in a suitcase to take to the CS but the cats have now taken a liking to sleeping on top of the suitcase!

Hi all. I didn't get my jab yesterday as the pharmacist decided I was too young and too healthy despite being incarcerated for 9 months in my house during covid. OH did get the jab due to recent health issues. I have mixed feelings about this as I firmly believe that covid is still out there and the new regulations are definitely based on financial costs rather than medical judgements. It just annoys me 😠.
I completely lost my motivation yesterday so a very disappointing day declutter wise though I did collect my meds, passed on a puzzle book to a friend and remembered to take my meter readings before I went to bed so at least something was done
Today I am feeling better so hopefully I will get something done. I have tried looking at a few u tube things but they are not working for me, though I did go down the rabbit hole of Ken and Carols little red van which I quite enjoyed.
@Florenceem so glad Mr F got home ok and I am hoping he is appreciating all your hard work to make the house safe for him. Like others have said sorry for the news about your daughter. Hopefully her job enabled her to spot the signs early and this will mean early treatment will give a positive result. Hugs
@Mrs SD, hoping Mr SD is ok, hugs
Hugs to everyone who would like one, I am off to wander around the house and find something to do
907 meds collected
908 puzzle book passed on
909 meter readings taken
Take care everyone

I'm in the TLC carriage today - I walked over 14k steps yesterday with a wander around Westfield and then a trip into town to see Hamilton. I'm travelling home tomorrow so taking it easy today with just a bus ride to meet a brother for food & drinks later.
Next week sees the start of decluttering my radiotherapy sessions.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Went to bed early last night - it was strange sharing the bed again but lovely to have a cuddle.
Didn't sleep too well - obviously my mind was on Dd K.
Mr F walked to the bathroom unaided in the night.
I gave him a hair cut and beard trim before going to prayer breakfast which was at my old Church. I needed some shopping and wanted to get a pair of pillows so Mr F can sleep with his feet raised.
His shoes and slippers arrived this afternoon and he can get them on so all set for Church tomorrow.
A letter arrived today to say that someone from the local health team is coming to visit Mr F on Monday.
K is at her school friend's wedding this afternoon and staying overnight at the venue. K is cutting her working week to 4 days and will be working from home for one of them. They have had a lovely garden pod installed so she can work in it while hubby works from home in the study.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I realised the culprit for the poo in my living room was my older cat as she did it in front of me this morning in the same place! I had to deep clean the whole area. I think it might be because of the arthritis in her leg so I moved the cat tray downstairs from the bathroom (which isn't ideal!) but at her age she might not be able to make it up the stairs anymore.
I also had to take a wicker basket out and clean it and leave it to dry outside. She only sprayed it slightly, luckily.
We sat down to watch the new Jack Ryan this afternoon and I said we should watch it in our other living room as it is quieter and not as bright with the sun. I hadn't used the sofa in there for quite a few months and I thought it smelled musty. After we watched it I took all the cushions off to vacuum and deep clean it. OMG, gross. It is obviously where my husband has sat there and given treats from his own food to our pets as there were lots of crumbs and dust down there. There was change down there too and I don't carry coins around in my pockets so I know it was him. I have vacuumed the whole sofa as well as damp wiping and left all the cushions and pillows out to dry before I reassemble it.
Jack Ryan was good though, it is the last series and on Amazon Prime.:)
