Busy at work Mon - Weds. Woke up with a migraine yesterday - spent the morning trying to recover which I did by the afternoon so DS & I went out for a walk up Town taking in the South Bank, St James' park then Trafalgar Sq. where there was a "Canada Day" music festival. Treated ourselves to sushi for dinner.
Today woke up much brighter - decided to head to gym but on the way saw a lovely hallway cabinet outside a house which would be perfect for us. It had 2 legs and two castors so me being me - I thought I would wheel it back to my house - Not far up the street I realised it was a terrible idea as it was much heavier than I'd thought & I couldn't control it- but it was too far to turn back and I couldn't just leave it in the street so I persevered ... I was feeling pretty flustered and embarrassed as my house is near a school & it was the school run. Then an absolutely lovely man offered to help me carry it back!! I had to have a rest before I headed back to the gym though
I've already painted it and it is in place in my hallway & is perfect for storing our shoes....Tasks:
Painted "new" hallway cabinet
Returned swimsuit to shop (bought 2 sizes for fit)
CBT - still going really well... I'm no longer considered as having anxiety or depression & it actually feels that way
IN (running total 107)
108. Hallway cabinet
109. Swimsuit
OUT (running total 433)
434. Tankini top
435. Unflattering swimsuit
436. Bracelet

@Florenceem big hugs to you and your family xx
@EnergyShifter well done for getting that home, what a great find! Love the colour looks very smart. Wish my hall way was big enough for something like that.

Florenceem I was so pleased that DH has arrived home at last, but then very saddened by the news of your DD. Cwtches nan xx
I helped Dad sort out his shed yesterday and I decluttered a plastic milk crate as it was disintegrating so he would be no longer be able to stand on it 😲. I also recycled a milk container that contained cheese, was supposed to be milk and I nearly put that in my coffee ! 🤮 I also scrubbed his sink, drainer and worktops 🤢
I took ownership of his mower and strimmer as he has no use for them now. When home I needed to sort out my own garden shed to accommodate the mower and strimmer. So now ready for the tip/ scrappy /recycling or bin:- a hover mower which screams when cutting ( DH has had it apart but still it screams) and a non working battery strimmer. While on a roll gone too a metal wheel lock for a previous caravan, a rusty hand grass shears, 2 old garden hoses, several small pieces of hose, bits of wire and many bits and bobs. Also gone a garden pond pump and electric cable and an old power washer brush. There are 2 doz plastic plant pots ready to go if I can find someone local who would like them. I now have a tidy shed and room to swing a cat as the saying goes ( no cat was harmed in this 😂)
Decluttered from my sewing basket today a transformer and it's electric cable, probably from some old xmas lights but I have no idea why it was in there 🤷♀️ This afternoon I gave 2 pairs of repaired trousers, DGS's, back to DD, along with DGD who we met from the bus after her outward bound course 😁
Sorry for the long post. Hugs and cwtches to anyone in need especially those in the TLC carriage.
nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently18
