Have been collecting up piles of papers and magazines from various places and put them in a box. The breakfast bar, formerly known as Mission Control, needs to be kept clear for meals so the box is now MC.
The plan is to go through the box and get rid of/file as much as possible and put remaining ‘to do’ items into a much smaller portable box.

DH was gone over an hour. Lots of waiting around before finally seeing the doctor. Examination conducted & the doctor couldn’t find anything. However, DH has to provide a urine sample & is booked in for a blood test on the 21st. I don’t know if I am misremembering but wasn’t there a time when the doctor decided you needed a blood test & took the blood there & then 🤔 Even Doc Martin doesn’t send people away for a fortnight before taking blood 😂 In the end I decided to make cottage pie for dinner & very yummy it was too 😋 Wudupa.
1602 - 1603 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1604 - 1605 Kitchen & office detritus - binned
Just seen the time so will post this & cheerlead tomorrow.

The newly painted kitchen door is making the others look dowdy. I didn't close it last night to allow complete hardening.
Off to SA for friendship/lunch club today. Mr F is going with me.

Hi all, the only thing I did last night was sort the washing. I have another load in the machine now. Naturally it is raining but it is forecast to be dry from about 11 so hopefully it will be ok.
Not sure what I am going to do today but I have a funeral tomorrow so I need to sort some clothes for that. On Friday we have a gathering for OHs bil's birthday and Saturday we have a bbq for the son of a friend so fingers crossed for the weather then
@Mrs SD I don't remember the doctor taking blood but I do remember being able to walk in to the blood clinic, take a ticket and wait anytime from 8am to 7pm without having to make an appointment. It changed during covid which I understand but I see no reason why it hasn't changed back now though that is true of many medical things.
Hugs to everyone who would like one, off to find something to do and hopefully back later

Take care everyone

Hello lovely declutterati friends,
So I’ve not posted since 8th May – where has the time gone! I’m still reading along. Thanks you all for keeping me going on my decluttering journey, and well done everyone on all you’ve achieving too. Thanks as always to MrsSD for encouraging us all and your awards – thanks for my 2 gold stars following my last post, and could I award you a medal 🏅for seeing us to halfway through the year, please?
So straight on to my numbers!
Physical items decluttered or frogs ticked off – 27 items clothing and 4 pairs shoes, 3 double and 1 single sheets, pair curtains, 27 books and 26 misc items to cs, pair wellies, pair trainers, and 27 items clothing / fabric to recycling at tip. 7 broken photo frames, 2 broken plant pots and 5 items from garden clear out, 2 bags of rubble, old trampoline net, broken coffee maker and 16 misc items to tip. Wheelie bin full of shrub trimmings and a large shrub decluttered. 54” of work paperwork, 2 broken box files, 8 wallets voluntary group paperwork, 13 pamphlets / magazines / booklets, 6 school exercise books, 5 spiral bound books (taken apart for metal and paper recycling), 28 cardboards boxes, 2 bags of tetra packs, 3 spray paint cans, 2 cables and bag tinfoil, Ikea kallax unit and 3 shelves to recycling and 8 ring binders to reuse table at tip. 6 bags soft plastics to supermarket recycling, lots of dried up pens recycled (count as 20) to recycling bin at library, 5 bags aluminium cans to charity recycling. Uu 11 old items from store cupboard / fridge freezer. Unsubscribed from 4 emails lists and 2 email boxes tidied up. 2 square floating shelves sold for £20. Completed 167 frogs / froglets / tadpoles (After 3 further attempts, I’ve got my Microsoft account unblocked again - hooray). Total 507 = 3362 / 4046
Read a book every other week - The Bird Cage - audible book listened to - total 18/26
Mend one item per week – Patches on 2 pairs jeans, button on duvet cover, mended unicorn oat micro warmer, mended doorstop, covered outdoor sofa cushion reusing fabric from torn sheet, mended 3 bras (replacing the underwires in the two that broke after I last fixed them) and filled a hole in the bathroom sink (temporary fix as getting the bathroom done is on my list of home improvements this year!) - total 34/52
Weight goal of losing 24kg – lost 2kg!
One significant home maintenance or improvement job per month - total 12 (of my wish list of 20) – Sadly no progress, I need to get a builder to come and quote...
Sort out and use up old toiletries and excess cleaning products or donate / dispose of so only one of each – 1 cleaning item uu, 8 toiletry items uu from stash.
Operate a 1 in 1 out rule for clothes, books and ornaments, excess items in = a negative number – This is definitely working as far more is going out than is coming in. Also am being far more selective about what I keep when I order clothes - 1 pr jeggings in (2 returned), 1 dress in (2 returned), 1 bra in (but will be returned along with 3 others I don't like / don't fit as it is faulty), 1 skirt in (1 top, 1 dress, 1 cardi and 1 skirt returned), 1 pair shoes in (2 pairs returned), 1 pair trainers in (2 pairs returned) vs lots of clothes out to charity shop or the tip as worn to death!
Try mending or buying secondhand before buying anything expensive as new – nothing big in over the last couple of months.
Hugs to all, and wishing everyone a lovely summer (no doubt it’ll be a few weeks before I post again)!
Love H x

I bought a few "new" things at a charity shop yesterday and washed them when I got home. I managed to get glitter over everything as one of the tunic dresses had a glitter pattern on it. That was very annoying! I actually binned it as I thought nobody would want it as the same thing would happen to them. I did go through my wardrobe and put two tops aside to use when I dye my hair as I noticed one had some type of marks on it already.
I am noticing that I have more blank spaces in my house, emptier shelves etc... I think I will just donate that stuff that I have been keeping after reading what you all said. I really cannot be bothered to sell it online, especially as I can't log-in to my old ebay account.
I had a nice morning as I got a very relaxing reflexology appointment followed by a pedicure. I almost drifted off during the foot massage. I was going to take the books I'm donating with me today as I noticed there is one of those free book boxes near the massage place, but I forgot! I will make up a donation bag and take it all to a charity shop tomorrow.2025 GOALS

Wednesday started sunny & I was up & dressed before 11:00. Now 20 minutes later we have steady & heavy rain 🌧️ Rather pleased that I put the new bin liner in the wheelie bin whilst I was making my cuppa 😉 DH’s new blender has arrived so at some point today the worms will get fed 🙂 So straight into cheerleading as I really don’t want to go outside for anything - unlike my DH, I am made of sugar 🤣
roundtuit, you were busy yesterday 👏 I hope you were successful in sorting out the bin-bag from RoD1 🤞
QueenJess, your numbering system works for you 😊 so I wouldn’t change it. As to packaging things up, you would only have to unpack again if they weren’t picked up or sold 😉😉
Florenceem, with you doing so much decluttering, I think faffing about with selling items would have been the straw that broke the camel’s back 😉 Sounds like MrF is definitely getting back into the swing of things 👏 & hopefully he is enjoying his tidy office 🤞Fingers crossed the OT technician visits soon & can get a slope put in soon 🤞Your DD is in my thoughts.
Liverpool_Anne, very pleased to hear that you managed to get a few hours sleep & felt a bit better yesterday afternoon 😊 Well done on decluttering hair & items to CS 👏 & I hope you enjoyed your soup 😉 I am finding the conversation about selling/not selling quite fascinating & this weeks email contained a link to a thread ‘Car Boot Advice’ which has been enlightening to say the least 😅 Thanks for the kind thoughts about MrSD 👏
oceanspirit, pleased to hear that your hard work clearing the breakfast bar Mission Control has paid off & you now only have a Mission Control Box (MCB)🥳 Good luck reducing the size of the MCB 🍀
Congratulations on getting your new car Fizz2015 👏 & having the freedom to get out & about without the need for precision planning 😉 Good luck with your potential car boot sale 🍀
-taff, glad I was not the only one who thought that Siebrie had posted a picture of her garden previously 😮💨 I thought I was going mad as I cannot find the original picture 😉
Florenceem, I can see DGS J being commissioned to paint the rest of the doors in your house 😉 Hope you have enough paint 🤞Hope you & MrF enjoy yourselves at the SA friendship/lunch club today 😊
Liverpool_Anne, bearing in mind how unwell you were feeling yesterday morning I think an evening of sorting washing was quite enough work for one day 😉 As you have such a busy schedule over the next few days, please take it easy today to build up your energy reserves 🙏 Another thing learnt - I had never heard of Blood clinics 🤔 They probably haven’t been reinstated since Covid because there aren’t enough NHS staff to go around 😔 Hug gratefully received 😊
sumb7170, another lovely, chatty post 😊 & thank you for my medal 🏅which is gratefully received & already added to my signature 🥳 Well done on not only getting so much decluttering done but also on your continued progress on reaching your stated goals 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ for reaching 3362/4046 & one medal 🏅 for doing so well on your “1 in, 1 out Rule” 🥳 I am looking forward to your next post & seeing how well you are doing 😊
carolbee, I was intrigued so looked up costume character walks in Ramsgate 🙂 sounds like fun so a great shame that you got drenched 😔
Wednesday2000, how annoying getting glitter over everything 😔 😖 I hope you managed to get the glitter off the other ‘new’ clothes 🤞& that the wm is now glitter free as well 🤞Excellent news that you are noticing that you have more blank spaces in your home - I hope you are taking photos to remind yourself of your successes in decluttering 😊 I am coming to the the conclusion that unless you have oodles of time & really need cash 😔, that selling online can be more trouble than it is worth especially when you factor in ‘time wasting/awful buyers’ 😱 😖 What a restful & relaxing morning 😴 Perhaps we need to add another carriage to the EDT 😉 or maybe just expand the TLC Carriage 🤔
DH has used his new blender to zizz up peelings etc for the worms & has also filled the bird feeders. All 3 of us have had lunch - bacon sarnie for DSis, haslet sarnie for DH & I finished off the guacamole using tortilla bowls 😋 We have several heavy showers over the last couple of hours but now the sun is trying to break through the clouds 🤞
