2023 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN Mrs SD

Feeling awful today as I have two completely different infections and am absolutely knackered. Maybe not the best day as I have DD all day (the terrible 2's) and picking up DS from school, then need to get him to swimming later. I think I'll be going to bed as soon as DS is in bed later. The mini decluttering mission today is costume jewellery, but I just decluttered all my jewellery recently. I did take a quick look, but there wasn't anything I wanted to get rid of there. I've carried on some tidying by getting more stuff picked up for Buy Nothing and put the plant pots and soft plastics in for recycling. Only a couple of bits to declare today:18,340-18,342 - paper (reused, then recycled)
18,343-18,344 - packaging (reused)Just putting on some more washing and then will collapse in a chair until I need to pick up DS. Will be very lazy and take the car, but will probably opt to wear them out by popping to the local park for a while before DS and I need to leave. DH is now leaving his training thing early so he will sort out DD for dinner and put her to bed.2025 decluttering: 2,369🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅

Oops. I didn't even think about the glitter in the washing machine. Will have to clean it. The reflexology was very relaxing although I felt a bit sick afterwards this time for some reason. I did get a discount too as I got two treatments together which was a nice surprise.🤩16

I was very busy at SA today - looking after a wheelchair lady. Also did first aid - someone came off their electric scooter - not one of our elderly guests!
Officer asked if I had anything planned for Sunday afternoon - I do now - I am the designated first aider at a garden party to raise funds for Ukraine. Transport will be arranged and Mr F can go with me.
Went into town after SA and visited the community shop for a bag of vegetables. Collected a parcel from the PO and got caught in the rain. Feel tired now.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Absolutely shattered today and voice was going so I know I’ve pushed it too much this week.
work was very very busy - and an old team member (not TB sadly) wants me back…um no!!!!!! Didn’t appreciate me when I was there so can go forth and multiply mightily now I’m gone!!!!! 😜
My cleaner was amazing!!!! I was so overwhelmed I burst into tears! She then cried too! What are we like?! I still have a load to tidy away and it did take us 10 mins to find the dog bowls last night…..so happy I decided to take her on.
we have a blood clinic in our local hospital but this is Wales so might be worth phoning your hospital?
MrsF glad hubby is able to go out and about with you.
resting eve tonight I think…..

On the blood testing, our hospital does a drop.in hut o ly if given the blood test by the hospital. Our gp used to do blood tests but now done at certain health centres and need to book online / phone and waiting times very.
On way home from work ( 2 days working in town and rest at home).
Last night a friend was saying about the state of a mutual friends house and made a note that I really need to tackle stuff as in a muddle!18 -
I now have 4 boxes and 2 bags of books for relatives, 2 boxes of books for the used book store, and a box of books to go to the library - all in my car. Will be delivered between now and Friday. Today will drop off the library box and pick up another box for the book store, tomorrow will go to the bookstore after working at the FamilySearch Center and having lunch (across the street from the book store where I will leave the boxes). The person I work with at the Center takes me out for lunch afterward. Then Friday will meet up with sisters at the same restaurant for lunch for youngest sister's birthday followed by going to the Book Store to treat sisters to using part of the credit we have already built up at the book store ($118 already, before whatever they take Thursday). Saturday whatever the book store doesn't want will go to the library and be left there while we straighten more up and get more books ready to go to the Jail (8 boxes ready to go). I usually limit myself to 1 book at the book store so the credit has been building up as I take in three or four boxes of books at a time. Still have too many books, but things are looking better.

Really struggling with parting with things. I am trying to think of how easier to find things and clean but things will be useful at some point, remind me of happier times etc. What do people do to move over paralysis and fear of decluttering?14

Evening All. Day off tomorrow and me and the car are getting a proper outing to England to see my mum! Really looking forward to it 😀 as not seen her for a few months. A close friend's mum has a brain tumour and sadly very close to the end. Makes you appreciate the finer things.
Decluttering has taken a back seat between work and everything else. But stuff everywhere is making me feel stressed and a little overwhelmed. I need to find a system that works to help get on top of it all.17 -

I figured that lots of the stuff I / we had when married wouldn't be needed when single as I wouldn't be catering for his family / didn't use it / he kept to score points 🙄 If I have needed anything, I have either borrowed or sourced second hand those very few items. Except the wedding album & lots of jars of pickles, which were left on his doorstep when I moved away 😊
