Last load of laundry for the week in and will be pegged out in a while. That way we'll have a full round of clothes available so the OH can pack his entire wardrobe including 15 pairs of shoes for our long weekend away. (you think I'm joking don't you.....)
And once the washing machine has finished I'm jumping in the shower prior to art class. Tshirt I'm wearing will go directly into the bin as being too stained & mis-shapened now to be wanted any longer. That's 2 I've got rid of so have room (sort of) in the shirt drawer for purchasing stuff on my next trip abroad. Or at the concert we're heading to on the weekend.....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I know that I’ll be continuing this as much as I can once back – to move back I’ve now, (since Brexit), had to fill in a form listing all my household goods and sign that I won’t sell/loan/give away any of it for 12 months after my return!!
I guess anyone who has direct experience of returning from Europe with their worldly goods can assist here, especially if they've been back for over 6 months or more.

How would anyone know if you have given away or loaned someone something? What if something breaks down and you give it to someone who may be able to mend it for their own use?
Sell, well maybe there's a way to check on that but I doubt it - at least not for us mere mortals who live our boring lives in busy towns and cities. Quite understandable that businesses and artists might be checked up on as this is them earning money (which is not to say that the system is right).I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Hi all, well I did manage a bit of decluttering yesterday before we headed out. I took the doormats out of the porch and gave them a good beating
. I have a recess in the floor of my porch where the mats sit. I am not sure when it was done but it's been there since I bought the house. It it quite deep so I have 3 doormats in there. At the bottom is a very thick coir mat that fits the space perfectly. On top of that is a rubber mat that is slightly small and then another coir mat with a rubber edge that is slightly big so overlaps the edge of the recess. The top mat had started to shred the rubber base so that has gone in the bin and I am now on the hunt for another mat. It is a bit of a pain as it is not a standard size, hence the old one being slightly large but it will have to be replaced to get the height right. I also sorted through the various weed sprays and ant powders that OH has stored in there. We do have an ant issue in the front garden which I am usually happy to ignore until they find their way into the house or one of my big pots, then I get quite ruthless
. 1 of the weed sprays was empty so that was washed out and put in the recycling, the rest was removed to the consevatory. I then hoovered the porch floor and walls. I still need to wash down the sills and woodwork around the front door but I need the ladders
.
The lr bin was emptied.
We had a quick coffee over the fence with ln but a thunderstorm arrived so we had to put up the big brollies. We have been out there through all sorts of weather through the lockdowns and except when it is very wet and windy and cold we just get on with it
. The visit to see the baby involved 3 bags for life of food leaving the house from the freezer, cupboard and kitchen floor. The baby is doing well and was much more awake for this visit, he's growing at an amazing place
. Mum is also much more mobile after the c section so all good. After the visit we went on to meet some friends who live in the area for a meal so we didn't get home until gone midnight, I was knackered and so I am only now catching up.
The sun is out today and I am heading into the garden for a while, the green waste bin gets emptied tomorrow so ln might let me put some in her bin as ours is full. Then I am out for my tea with ex work colleagues for our catch up so another day of no cooking for me
Hugs to everyone who would like one

@Liverpool_Anne my eyes read your first sentence as you taking the documents out on the porch for a good beating, and I did think, that's a good way to go about it, might do that to mineNothing exciting here, collating items for charity, rag, dump and sell inside the house, it will go faster once OH leaves for work because flinging can be involved then..And apologies for thread derailment and general pickiness yesterday...I'd like to blame hormones or something else but it was totally my fault.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi21
