I think we are all finding the heat a trial and need extra time in the TLC carriage. Not so hot today but still exhausted after cutting grass. I think I will go swimming when I work up the energy. We went out to tea yesterday afternoon for DGD4's birthday but it was just too hot to do justice to food. Nice place so we will go again perhaps for a Sunday lunch when weather is more temperate.

MrsSD thanks. I did breach your "man with a van" suggestion but he aims to be as independent for as long as he can, while he can. So I must just be patient as I want him around and doing things for as long as possible. He's already beaten his "sell by date" by 3 years.
Yesterday I recycled 2 cardboard boxes straight after deliveries and today I have recycled several fruit containers from my morning shopping spree.
Earlier this morning we delcuttered DGD at school along with her suitcase and sleeping bag. She's going to an outdoor education centre for the week and needed taxiing to school then waving off, but not before she had 2 breakfasts, one at home then a chocolate croissant here. I don't think she realises it's only 1/2 hr away and not at the other end of the country 🤣
Happy decluttering all. Just one thing out is a win in my book.

Had a long night last night as DD had a raging temperature. Checked her through the night until it went after I dosed her with some medicine. She seems ok this morning, so hopefully is fighting off whatever it was. Knackered now, so probably not much decluttering to do today, although I want to continue tidying up the house so I can see the results from what I have done so far.I did do some decluttering bits over the weekend and just deleted a load of photos from all the things that went up for sale/onto Buy Nothing. Also managed to get everything collected through Buy Nothing over the weekend and got another bag for charity to DH's room and he then promptly removed it from the house.@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I have zero intentions in helping DH with his study. He does seem to get rid of things every now and again and I'm hoping he'll pick up the vibe from all the stuff I've been doing. It is all in cupboards and drawers so I don't see it and I never really go in there or use the room, so I really am not bothered. The garage is more annoying as I use it regularly to get things out of the freezer. Apart from some books which are ours and some DH's, all the library stuff is all mine. I think I can blast through it relatively quickly as it's easier when the decisions are only for myself, but just need to think it through. I don't think much planning is needed as the only tricky thing is fitting what I wanted to in the cupboards. Just need to think through exactly what I want to keep or not as I have a mix of sentimental type things in there as well as a lot of books obviously.I think I'll continue tidying and doing the little bits and pieces on the list (like covering the box I trimmed up for DS) and see what decluttering I fancy doing next. Dining room and library are quite high on my list and for some reason I'm putting off DD's room at the moment. Let's see how close I can get to 18,000 by the end of the week!Digital:
17,399-17,499 - photos deleted (from all sales/buy nothing stuff)
17,500-17,501 - notes deleted

I've removed the hard drive from an old desktop pc, to be put into a case & used as a portable h/d, then the rest of it is bound gor the tip along with its assorted cabling. I've also (finally) decluttered a gifted box of beers that have been awaiting collection for months.
The target for this week is to build my new garden bench so the packaging can go - it's currently sat in the hall, winking at me every time I walk past.
I've got 2 loads of laundry on the line - k/s duvet cover, sheet, 4 pillowcases & 4 pillow covers. This sunny but breezy day was too good to waste!
I have also done some admin including a request to the HR Director to encourage a response to my income protection company so my claim can be processed. The company have waited patiently for over a month, so time to call the HR team out on it.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Had the photos from my morning post deleted - I thought as they were long distance shots - would be okay.
Not had a warning before - does anyone know about them?
Heard from a technician - coming to fit rails tomorrow!
Hopefully Mr F can come home on Friday after the other aids are delivered - but as it will be hospital transport - who knows.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Evening, well we had a productive hour this evening. Timer set for 30 min initially, tunes on and both the bathroom and downstairs toilet got scrubbed clean and clutter cleared. Not tallied up what went but cleared out the bathroom cupboard and tidied before putting back. OH and Dd also helped.
Decluttered my own bike to nephew yesterday as had outgrown his. He was chuffed.16 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
We didn’t see any actual blue sky until 17:00 - not overcast exactly but rather hazy cloud with ordinary clouds underneath. Perfect motorcycling weather - temperatures in the low to mid 20’s C & no rain 👏We left the hotel just after 10:00 & headed off towards Redruth. Traffic was appalling due to roadworks so by the time we got to the first landmark we were an hour behind schedule 😔 Didn’t matter too much because we got this year’s landmarks & just missed out a couple of old ones. The scenery was spectacular 😊 We stopped in Charlestown about 16:15 & had an ice cream each - DH had Rollocking Rhubarb Crumble & I had Heave Ho Lemon 😋 Then we had a coffee & a biscuit before heading to the last landmark. Back at hotel by 18:00 where we both showered, changed & went down to the lounge for a drink before dinner. Tonight DH had spicy squid balls followed by Vegetable Thai Green Curry with fragrant Basmati Rice & added king prawns. I had smoked haddock pate followed by beer battered fish with rustic chips & mushy peas. We shared a cheese platter for afters. Outstanding food yet again 🥳👏 Back in our room by 21:15, watched a bit of TV & DH has fallen asleep & I am nodding off 🥱 I know I am even further behind on the cheerleading but I will start to catch up either tomorrow after we get home or Wednesday when I have no plans apart from LDFPA 😉
Hope everyone has a restful night & see you all tomorrow.
P.S. Florenceem I did see the photos before they were removed - everyone looked like they were having a lot of fun on a beautiful sunny day 😊
