Felt a bit down when I woke up - then when I did get out of bed - saw that I hadn't taken my stomach lining capsule so can't eat for 40 minutes.
I have a phone review of my medication this morning.
Will pop into SA on my way to drop off stuff at charity shop. I am not going to the meetings there today.
Need some eggs so will get them with the discount in Icelan.

Morning all
Mrs S_D - thank you for my medal which i have hopefully managed to add to my signature! The book I am reading is Lessons in Chemistry (a novel). Like everyone has said, I hope the funeral was a good send off with happy memories shared.
I've kept my emails below 11k! I have decluttered 4 items of clothing that DD1 sold on V!nted and has taken away to post. I've binned a pair of boots that have a hole in and are beyond repair. I've recycled lots of paper from post that has been piled up and some old notebooks that are not reusable.
I had a lovely walk on Sunday but came home with loads of bites including on my forehead so have been a bit sore and itchy sinceWfH today so staying in

@vulpix the zoo was brilliant thank you! We got there for when it opened and left when it closed- we were all exhausted last night! The dc had been saving their pocket money and picked a toy out within budget. Sorry to hear about the bat poo... to be honest it is the sort of thing that would happen to me too 🫣
Back to school today, and I have 6 weeks to get as much done as possible! Need to start bagging stuff up to hit my target. Hope you all have a lovely day.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
So much for posting Monday evening 😉 Sunday night having got into bed by 22:30, I watched the end of a programme about the music of 1983, switched off the TV & was fast asleep within 2 minutes 😊 The bed was obviously comfortable as I slept for a solid 4 hours, woke up for a bathroom visit & then another 3 hours of sleep before waking up properly at 07:00 👏 The three of us were all washed & dressed by 08:30 & went down to breakfast. Continental breakfast & were joined by another couple who were also staying (Forgot to mention that the B&B was 2 houses knocked through) We had decided to leave at 09:15 to have plenty of time to stroll to the church & arrive early enough to have time to talk to our cousins. DSis then kept us waiting for 10 minutes, so our walking pace was slightly faster than a stroll 😉 but it was cool enough to make the walk a pleasure. Spent about 15 minutes outside the church talking to family & DBro arrived a few minutes after us. Then into church. The funeral service was sad & joyous in equal measure - my uncle was an active member of the church so was well known by Fr Deo. His 3 children & 2 of his grandchildren + 2 members of the extended family did the readings & eulogy. The eulogy written & delivered by my eldest cousin was especially moving - it brought our uncle back to life whilst also remembering our aunt who had died 12 years earlier. Then onto the cemetery. As the 4 of us had arrived on foot DBro thought it would be a good idea to walk to the cemetery believing it was only a 10 - 15 minute walk 🤨 Regrettably we agreed - 30 minutes later we finally arrived at the cemetery just in time to catch the last few minutes of the burial rites. DBro was fine, but the rest of us were exhausted. Happily DSis & I were offered a lift to the family home 😊 DH & DBro made their own way - managed to get a bus for 2/3rds of the way & walked the last 1/3rd - arriving about 15 minutes after everyone else. Plenty of food & drink with practically all of it being home made 😊 Lots of laughter & chat with everyone sharing their personal memories. All in all a day of celebration of a life well lived - joy & sadness in equal measure & because the weather was so good everyone spent a lot of time in the garden. We were almost the last to leave - DBro had headed off a few minutes earlier walking & then public transport. DH ordered a cab from Streatham to Lewisham - expensive but we were all ‘walked out’ 😊 Eventually arrived home about 19:15. About 21:30 I made us all baked beans on toast because none of us had eaten much - too busy chatting 😉 DSis & I watched the final of BGT - what a travesty 😖
Tuesday is an overcast cool day. I was up & dressed by 10:30 feeling remarkably OK after yesterdays walking but doubt I will do anything much today other than last nights wudupa 😉 DSis also up but feeling the worst for wear & DH still in bed 😔 I will now try to catch up on the cheerleading, wish me luck 🍀
Soontobeoap, I was a bit concerned about you decluttering the grandchildren but I assume back to their parents 🤣 Sounds like you had a lovely time 😊
Good work TC77 👏
Excellent decluttering at OH’s house yesterday Liverpool_Anne 👏 You both deserve some time in he TLC Carriage 😊
Florenceem, fingers crossed that the oven cleaning chap turned up at the start of the time slot 🤞Lovely to hear that MrF is sounding cheerful 😊 Good luck with your extendable mop - we don’t want any more falls in the bathroom 😉
Sounds like a lovely birthday weekend leftatthetrafficlights 😊 That was a very busy Monday that you planned 😥 I hope you managed to get through everything & that the weather stayed fine enough to dry all your washing outside 🤞
Dfw38, little 🐒 had better watch out 😂 Sounds like you have a lovely day planned 😊 Hopefully the weather stays fine & the zoo isn’t crowded 🤞
Fizz2015, all this decluttering of people 🤣 Very pleased that OH is only temporarily decluttered 🤣
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate especially dealing with a ‘deferred decision’ box 👏 I’ll pop round later for some rhubarb crumble 😂 would you like me bring some Bird’s custard powder 😉
Ouch Florenceem 😓 your poor wallet/purse 😓
Thanks oceanspirit - it was a good send off 🙂
TC77, definitely a celebration of his life 🙂 So true that every item out is a step in the right direction 👏
“This thread is so unjudgemental - it's lovely. 😘” what a beautiful sentiment roundtuit 😊 Re your comment “Apart from the trickle of books, and the constant flow out of daily detritus and recycling, all the decluttering action is in my head at the moment. I have to think it before I do it. A little (lot) less cognition and a little (lot) more action is required” - I will refer you to your own quotation “IT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONS FOR MAGIC TO HAPPEN” - the trickle of books will eventually become a flood 😉
Thank you ruby_eskimo. There is nothing to beat your own bed 🙂 Excellent work at your parents house 👏 Such a shame that you didn’t get to enjoy the sunshine 😔 but I reluctantly agree that your DH was probably correct 😉 You are definitely speeding along - already at 18/100 👏
Thank you Florenceem. That is very brave of your SA officer to conduct his father’s funeral service. Fingers crossed that you get some information about when MrF can come home 🤞
First post done & will carry on in a little while 🙂

Been into town - cancelled buses meant that I didn't get home until later than planned.
Had the telephone review of my medication - have to get a blood test done - booked it for next week. I need to walk to the surgery to pick up the blood test form.
Mr F phoned me while I was waiting for the Dr to call so it was a quick goodbye.
Finished sorting out the airing cupboard this morning.
Took 4 bags of stuff to the charity shop.
Review of my oven cleaning - pleased with inside of oven but the hob had some residue cleaning solution left on it which I only noticed when the sun went round and shone on it. Tried to buy an oven liner today in Home Bargai.. but didn't have any.
Re dishwasher cleaning - think I make a better job of it.
Re washing machine - same.
Maybe I am too fussy.

The new brake discs have arrived so the cardboard boxes have been flattened and put in the recycling. I had a relaxing time popping the little air pillows too, small things to make me happy. I have used up 2 packs of mince beef out of the freezer and I'm cooking a large amount of spag bol sauce in the slow cooker. We shall have some of it with pasta when DGD arrives from school for tea and the rest will be portioned up and frozen later. The bedding from the spare room has been washed along with a clothes wash and they are on the whirly, it's been overcast all morning and only now it's brightening up. They've had a good blow though as the wind is a bit fierce.
Vulpix thanks for the birthday wishes. I hope tomorrow goes without a hitch and you don't get them mixed up, the dentist would be shocked 😲 🤣
Hugs to anyone having a difficult time at the moment. Take care all, happy decluttering.
