Managed to scrape together enough to finish my 10 things to declutter for the day by tidying up a bit. More tidying bits to do later and I will endeavour to get out into the garden to do a bit more there (trying to do some everyday until I've caught up).15,118 - kids clothes too small (charity bag)

Dead bushes decluttered from garden and are by OH's car waiting to be taken to the tip - hopefully tomorrow. I'd do it today but it closes in 10 minutes.... No more plants languishing in the green house either - large ceramic planter/urn weeded and loaded up with scarlet geraniums and 2 more into the stone planter opposite. Just need to get the anenomies into the planters at the front - or otherwise do something with them. Also scatter the left over morning glory seeds where they might take hold - I know it's late but maybe, just maybe. Likewise hoping I can get the hairy old man clematis germinating so I can plant it where it was thriving last year.

😆 poor ds @crazy_cat_lady2, although i imagine he is so happy to have passed he won't mind what he is drinking!
Thanks @Moorviews, it was a case of ploughing through it yesterday at dad's and was hard because we were coming across sentimental bits amongst the "junk'.
I have visitors on Thursday and despite cracking on last week there is still chaos. 2nd dd has been poorly all day and is sleeping off and on so have been trying to keep other dcs quiet which has been challenging. Going to crack on tonight and see if I can find my kitchen....yes it is THAT bad in there 🤪.2024 decluttering Campaign

So much choice at Dunhel. - I eventually bought 2 orange and 2 sage green bath mats - I have already given them a wash - suggested on label.
I am struggling to remove marks on shower tray from the suction cups on the old safety shower mat.
2 Freeglers collected today and someone collected paperwork.
I have accepted the latest quote for the front garden but it won't be done until the first week in August - I was hoping to surprise Mr F with it when he comes home.
I ordered an extendable pole window cleaning kit - I can collect it tomorrow. Our window cleaner has retired - I will have a go at cleaning the windows with the kit - may get DGs J to be my new window cleaner.
Still a chilly NE wind here - wore my winter coat when I went shopping.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

No more tidying done, but washing is hung out and 50 mins of gardening was squeezed in. Going to be a busy next couple of days juggling work and childcare stuff, so whilst I was gardening I looked around and found another 16 items to declutter. Just another 4 to find to bring me up to the end of Thursday now. I will be counting food overstock used up from cupboards and the freezer, but will ignore the stuff we plough through regularly that isn't too stocked up.15,125-15,134 - plant pots (box to take back to garden centre)

More food stocks brought from OH’s and whilst there checked in on how the plan is going. We think we are on track and can bring in reinforcements if necessary during the final week.
More papers gone from my place. Not many left now but having got rid of the easiest first, these are taking longer to make decisions on.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅16 -

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday was a cold dry day & I did nothing but Sudoku, watch TV & make dinner - fried chicken, boiled potatoes, peas & sweetcorn + wudupa. DH pottered in the garage & watered the plants.
Tuesday has been another cold day. I have been exceedingly lazy again - finished my Sudoku book, will cook dinner & do wudupa. I have descended into ‘lazy mode’ 😔 but I see everyone else is working hard 👏 DH has been pottering in the garage again - he is determined to get the Harley Davidson ready for MOT 👏 It has been sitting in the garage unused for over a year ☹️ I think he has stolen all my decluttering mojo 🤣
Dinner is pork steaks, boiled potatoes, carrots & broccoli - again 😔
1381 - 1384 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard box, completed Sudoku book - recycled
1385 - 1386 Kitchen detritus, uu biro - binned
Excellent decluttering at your parents house 2Scratters 👏 Well done on managing to resist your DB’s ‘encouragement’ to take lots of items 😉 Great work by DH 👏 & I hope he enjoyed his bike ride 😊
Wednesday2000, it was 🥳 Tina was almost 70 & she was moving around like a fit 30 year old 🤩
TC77, hopefully you can find a shorter cycle on the dishwasher 🤞
Florenceem, pleased to hear that you managed to get out of the house 😊 Well done to SA for the successful table top sale 👏 Sorry to hear MrF is coughing so badly 😔 Hopefully he will test negative 🤞By the way, is DD negative now? At least your decluttering is still trickling out whereas mine has ground to a halt the last couple of days 😉
Oh dear Brie - I think I might have dug in my heels & left OH to sort it out himself 😉 OH was obviously bored & expected you to just fall into line 😔 Having said that 😉 excellent work 👏 Now you just need to sneak out the DVDs that you don’t want - either by selling or donating 😉 Good luck 🍀 Rather like the idea of pushing stuff out rather than waiting for collection 👏
Muddy_Walker, now just the wait for the results of the endoscopy🤞I am sure the dogs are right - toys will help you recover more quickly 😂 Fingers crossed for the dogs next week 🤞 Yippee to your last week with TB 🥳 Hopefully the doctors will have some results for your dad quite soon 🤞
Excellent work Florenceem 👏 I really like the carpet 🙂 Was that a Bovril recipe book I saw in picture 1 😉
Pleased to hear that the hospital appointment went well Floss 😊 Hopefully the next appointment will go just as well 🤞 Better to have the cat fur & dust in the Shark 😉 Sounds like you had a lovely time with DS2 😊
Dfw38, not letting the side down at all 😊 You have been exceedingly busy for months so have earned a bit of rest to catch your breath & spend a bit of time in the TLC Carriage of the EDT 😊 I really need to knuckle under so I will be joining you in Jettisoning Junk in June (JJiJ) Excellent work cleaning all your upstairs windows & well done to all your DCs for their assistance in the garden 😊 One medal 🏅🏅🏅for each of them 👏 Hope the paperwork gathering was successful 🤞& I hope the weather was good whilst you & DBro were working in your aunt’s garden 😊
QueenJess, excellent decluttering 👏 & well done on finding a method that works for you 🥳
You have been busy Fizz2015 👏 I would say you have plenty to show for it - a clean, tidy rearranged bedroom for DD & a tidied office area 👏 I hope the weather stayed fine for Monday’s hike & that you managed to complete the planned route 😊
Absolutely excellent decluttering Dfw38 👏 Worthy of your own medal 🏅 😊 I have yet to manage an almost completely empty cupboard anywhere in my house - you are an inspiration 😊
Yippee to dealing with a sewing frog oceanspirit 👏 Great work tidying & organising 👏
Well I have made tiny inroads into the cheerleading 😉 So might be back in a little while 🤞
