Reading along but not much happening. Slightly exhausted from long child minding stretch but free now until Thursday evening. Decided not to do much today and had a Power Nap for 2 hours this afternoon. Dealt with a couple of frogs then went swimming. Two thirds of pool had 20 ladies doing exercises to deafening music with screams in the background. Not very relaxing so left after 20 minutes and had a nice hot shower on their electricity. I am a member so no money paid today for very short session.

Just had a Freegler collect the Laura Ashley tiles. I have 2 people coming tomorrow to collect items.
I have been up in the office shredding - bills and statements from 2006. Giving the shredder a break - it is working so hard.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I've never been so glad it's the weekend. Sadly the next few weeks don't look any better at work with some other things that have become urgent and only I can do
. Where's that payrise lol?
Anyway, I decided that my balance was too far tipped to decluttering versus tidying (mainly because I hate the latter). I've instead decided to do a round of tidying each day and attempt to find either 10 physical things to declutter whilst I tidy around or 100 digital things. No stress if I don't make it, but I have to make a good effort! The tidying seems to take forever, but it is very slowly making a difference. I'll see how it all goes as I still do need to declutter too!I've given up for the day now and am sat down with my feet up and a glass of wine. DH is making dinner and DS is tidying his room. I also managed to change all the beds and do and hang out two loads of washing whilst also doing more than a day's worth of work. DD had so much fun with me when she got back that she complained very loudly about going to bed.I also went through DD's drawers and only left 14 long and 14 short sleeved tops out in the drawer (the remainder are in a box in the wardrobe). Even after I did it I think it's too many and I could drop to 10... will do that in the next week or so. At least I tidied up DD's room completely and even dug out a thick bit of cord to hang DH's back scrubber in the shower (it was irritating me on the side) and put a fake plant in a plant pot cover.Decluttering progress for today:Digital:
13,523-13,527 - notes deleted
Physical:
13,528-13,529 - packaging (reused)
13,530-13,532 - paper (recycled)
13,533 - cloth (bin)
13,534 - hand weights (Buy Nothing)
13,535 - bathroom stuff (Buy Nothing)
13,536 - shorts don’t fit (charity bag)
13,537 - magazine (recycling)
13,538-13,539 - containers not needed (recycled)@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I loved your suggestion re: getting DH to do something that isn't on the list. Sadly I am too knackered and didn't give him a list, so DH mainly squandered his day off tasks wise. He did buy a nice dinner though.2025 decluttering: 3,958🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

The item I decluttered to DH’s study is back with me again as he’s decided to declutter it from the house. Obviously, dumping stuff in DH’s room works 😂2025 decluttering: 3,958🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

MIA for a few days so just had a skim read.
I have just spent a few days in Manchester with DD who was admitted to hospital. She is home now but will be back next week for more investigations. While I stayed in her flat I gave it a good clean, washing up done and emptied the bins. We have bought all her bedding back to be washed along with a load of clothes. She was relieved to see the flat in a better state as she has been too ill.
Fingers crossed she is over the worst.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor.
