Evening, you are doing so well @roundtuit!
Today I did a tip run with some dirt and some toys that were given to us but were either broken or had bits missing 🙄. This afternoon I had a deliveryof something I have been eagerly awaiting!
I didnt get to the diy shop but pottered and have filled a bag for cs of clothes and another of toys outgrown or unwanted. Have also pulled out the bits in the bbq, cleared the ash and need to clean the grill and the bbq unit as dh never didn't last year. Tackled another frog today : organise dcs dentist trip. I always do it in the school holidays so they dont miss any time from school and juggling the 3 of them makes it a real challenge!

Been to visit Mr F - at last he has been prescribed an anti depressant - starts it tonight. He was worrying about his weight again - had put on 6 lbs since being weighed 8 days ago. I think a lot of it is fluid.
I am being brave and showing my disaster of a craft table on here. I cleared it off and dusted/polished it.
It will take quite a while to sort through everything that I have taken off it.
I found the only doll that I have kept from my large number of made dolls. She was created when I was making Primitive style dolls. I kept her because her name is Bessie - my Mum's middle name.
I also found one of my dangly spiders.
I am aching to craft now but decluttering has to come first.

Hi.Dfw38 if I had that medal I would wear it all the time! Well done.Florenceem you are very talented. I am glad something is happening for Mr F. Hopefully he will feel the benefits of the tablets in a few weeks. So kitchen sort of done. It only consists of one and a half bottom cupboards, four drawers and two wall cupboards. Every thing emptied out, washed and put back. Paper changed on top of the wall cupboards. A few things ousted, a lot of tins of food to give to Dd2 who is struggling a bit atm. Some ancient herbs and spices binned. I have had enough for today so still to do a small pine plate rack thingy and a small pine wall cupboard with glasses in and the under sink cupboard. I did the fridge Tuesday before putting the shopping away. Mr V is under threat not to bring any more glasses home. He works in pubs a lot and they are forever selling “special “ glasses for charity. He is instructed to give the money and leave the glass! We don’t even drink!
Another box for the chazzer and some things for bit by bit. Some bulbs collected for lights we don’t have anymore.Next week it will be the pantry of doom.New total 427

Well done, @Dfw, a fantastic achievement.@ Florenceem, just keep on going .. Mr F seems to be doing better mentally and more walking will get him fitter as well. Did you ever get a diagnosis or explanation of what brought him into hospital?Decluttering has picked up a bit here, mainly due to the showery weather, so less has been done in the garden.
2 jars of fancy fig/ balsamic vinegar jam for foie gras given to CS to sell. My bank here on my birthday gives me a voucher for Perigord products and we usually get a box of pate and this stuff comes with it .1 needlecase
1 pile confidential admin
2 old tea strainersDH had been keeping for Justin
1 pair sunglasses
2 uu toiletries
9 balls yarn from stash
1 uu pen
8 books
1 pile empty seed and gladioli packets
Then today we cleaned the garage floor. To do this everything had to be moved out and dusted. DH got a bit fed up when it came to putting things back and he started to say why did I have loads of baskets-e. I mournfully allowed one to go out - part of a fantasy life of a rustic kitchen and we continued….
4 newspapers
5 magazines
4 dining chairs
1 coffee table
1garden sieve
1uu shoe polish tin
i rustic chestnut wood basket

I am still using the library and restricting purchases at the CS so less is coming in and I’m enjoying a bit more space in the spare room where the overflow books are kept.
Hugs for everyone and keep safe, too.
Queen Jess - you are doing well, work, house, small children all take up time and if you think everyone else is doing well and coping it’s just that they are probably good at papering over the cracks. This thread is a great support for us all , whether things are flying out the house, we are knackered, or RL is taking over, or just can’t be bothered. I never decluttered when the children were at home and I worked full time. It was only the decision to move to France that started me.16 -
Bit of an odd week off for me - I had lots planned but body and mental health said no. Lots of sleep but naturally wide awake night time 🤨
Had a good think about OH - he is under a lot of pressure, in the process of trying to change jobs and a huge journey to and from work. So his mind is elsewhere- I said I would try and do more but treatment day I just can’t. Then he felt guilty …… so lots of reassurance given. We will get there and he will be blind as a bat for a while!
But today I managed the following:
Couple more epoxy resin crafts as gifts
Changed bed back to thicker duvet especially as 2 dogs with muddy paws charged over it
4 lots of washing
Pampered indoor plants
Cleaned what I wanted to clean in the living room
Trimmed fur and nails of dog1 who no longer needs cone
Cleaned ears of dog2 who was most disgusted
Cleaned hall table
Hoovered downstairs
Washed up several times
Gave dishes back to neighbour who makes a wicked cheese and potato pie
Ate the mortgage frog!
Feel much more peaceful now

Hi all, got through my list today. Blood given quite painless this time
. Bank stuff sorted so I had enough money to pay for the season tickets. Had a nice chat to the lady in the bank who is arranging for a financial review as she thinks some of my money can work harder for me
. Then a quick trip to sm to pick up the stuff I couldn't get yesterday. Home and shopping put away. Quick whizz around the house, bathroom bin emptied and kitchen recycling emptied. Had a cuppa while listening to the radio. We have a presenter on our local radio station who always makes me laugh. After lunch I sorted the footy season tickets which, as usual stressed me as I am not really confident doing this online but it seems that is the way the world is going so I just have to pull my big girl pants up and get on with it
. Then as a reward I switched to radio 4 and then finished my book. I remembered to check with OH about the bedding situation and apparently we don't need to take any so that is one job off the list for tomorrow. I also dealt with my post and checked my emails. Union issue sorted. Dealt with some and filed a few, a few sent to the delete box but not permanently deleted yet as I got distracted by the radio
Hugs to everyone who would like one
676 blood tests
677 banking sorted
678 shopping sorted
679 bathroom bin emptied
680 kitchen recycling emptied
681 footy season tickets sorted
Take care everyone

Dfw38 - love the medal.
retiredinfrance - it seems that the seizures were caused by stress - so all down to the mental breakdown which is why I am so pleased that Mr F is at last being started on an anti depressant. I kept asking to see someone from the Psychiatry dept to discuss Mr F - he apparently was - stiff upper lip - telling them that he was fine!
Yes - we are all on different decluttering journeys - at the start of 2023 - I planned to declutter but would not have got so much done if Mr F had not gone into hospital. I don't mean that he would have stopped me although he does want to hold onto stuff more than me. No - I have been spurred on by wanting the house safe and tidy for him to return home plus - I have avoided feeling lonely by doing so much decluttering.
DGS J is coming early this morning as rain is forecast for later morning - he has brought a huge bag from school to use for the deadly thorny bush - Pyracantha.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

We are having May Gray weather this week - cloudy but no rain. Managed to feed 4 cats and big dog. Clipped the cats nails - very unhappy cats (just the indoor ones - outside two won't let me near them). Cleaned the top of one kitchen cabinet so G could heat up the waffles for breakfast - it was amazing to find what the top of the cabinet looked like! Sent 4 important e-mails and checked my Facebook. I have learned to copy the pictures I want to keep and paste them into a Word file. All before a friend picked Di and me up to go to the Family History Center in another town. Took two language dictionaries for the library from our Friends group. We work for about 5 hours and then she takes us to lunch afterward. Then worked on someone else's family history tonight. Had good results for both searches.
Tomorrow is "going to the library" day with two LDS missionaries doing their service project for the week and helping us sort books. I have a box of books ready to take with us. Tomorrow I get to declutter a lot of food too as our post office brought around their yearly Fill-a-Bag with Food. We just have to leave it on our porch and the Boy Scouts come and pick it up. So those will be my major projects for the day.
Last night I finally had a mental breakthrough on decluttering DVDs and CDs. I have decided to limit myself to just those I really love (about 10 of each) and take the rest for our book sale next week.
Take care of yourselves everyone.17 -
@Florenceem - Love your doll. She is wonderful. Has so much personality.17

Coronation weekend was a bit of a blur, no work so that was great but I didn't see a soul for 3 days and spent most of it sleeping after I decided to cut the grass on the Saturday and overdid it.I did get to the charity shop Tuesday though and took a couple of bags of nice clothes I won't wear again. Mostly too small but also things people have given me which just aren't me, like silky pjs and a white lacy top. Hopefully someone else will like them. Had a rush of energy yesterday and flattened all the cardboard boxes which had piled up and they've gone off in the recycling lorry.
Today I only have to work till 1pm so will try to do an hour or so then before I collapse.Magnolia Stellata17
