Also, remember that you could always take photos of those objects that prompt good memories and create a photo-book for holding those memories, rather than keeping the physical items.

Morning Peeps,
Mrs SD sorry about your uncle passing.
Washer is on as the day is to continue dry shall also try to do a hand wash of some cotton items from parents house and see if I can reduce or get rid of some marks on them.
Yesterday was a very active day in finding items to go, some of it found whilst looking for something else. 4 map books of the northwest areas recycled. I also established the O/S books spines are plastic ring binders and they can be pulled out - I didn't know that was a thing.
I made an itinerary of the under the sink cupboard wrote the list out 3 times to get it right and in alphabetical order. In that process I found a water filter which is the same shape that parents use so that will go on Tuesday when I see them. UU the last bin fragrance disc - it works very well and last quite some time. It was a purchase made on the car boot moons ago, I may have a delve on tebay and check their prices knowing it won't be cheap. UU last lime scale de-scaler for the kettle completed. Then DH decides to make a brew when I hadn't finished the taskthen he moaned how his brew tasted funny!
Cleared off the top of the freezer (was only 4 items) of the bird food tubs and a wash powder tub. Moved them to where the bin had been as I had moved that to a different place.
Did a brief food cupboard check and found no tin of tomatoes! How is that even possible?
DH did the back garden mowing the lawn after being feed and weeded did the edges of the lawn and weeded the plant beds.
Have a good rest of the weekend
2 Scratters xx

Sorry to hear about your uncle Mrs SD. It seems a lot of us have had a rotten start to the year. Hopefully things will improve as the year progresses.
I think I will split the year into seasons too, might make the bad times more tolerable.
So May 1st and I have started organising (or reorganising and decluttering the areas dh and dcs have -'undone') today's jobs are: get more flowers for garden on 2nd dds request 😁. Plant out by the front bay window. Plant the others in our back garden when I have created a flower bed today. Paint the shelves of the linen cupboard as the paint is flaking and it is annoying me a lot (that will be my first 🐸).
Hope you all have a lovely day. Willnpost photos of success later!2024 decluttering Campaign

carolbee - they do vegan plus massive portion sizes. Their shakey shakey mix which is sprinkled on chips by request is fab.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
